Cùng một nhịp bước với Giáo Hội toàn cầu, Năm Đức Tin phải là cơ hội
thuận lợi cho mọi thành phần Dân Chúa tại Việt Nam củng cố đức tin của
mình, hoán cải và đổi mới đời sống, trở về với Chúa là Đấng Cứu độ duy
nhất của thế giới. Khi chúng ta tái khám phá niềm vui đức tin, chúng ta
sẽ hăng say dấn thân cho công cuộc Tân Phúc Âm hoá loan báo Tin Mừng cho
93% người Việt Nam chưa biết Chúa, đem tinh thần Phúc Âm thấm nhập mọi
lĩnh vực đời sống, góp phần xây dựng một xã hội lành mạnh theo những giá
trị Tin Mừng và truyền thống văn hoá của dân tộc. (Số 5).</span></p>

Năm Đức Tin giúp cho Giáo Hội trở về cội nguồn của mình là chính Chúa
Kitô và Tin Mừng của Chúa. Nhờ đó có thể canh tân đời sống và cách làm
việc, nhằm thể hiện tốt đẹp hơn Sứ vụ Loan báo Tin Mừng.</span></p>

Truyền giáo là chia sẻ cuộc sống, một cuộc sống như chính Chúa Giêsu đã
sống, là yêu thương mọi người, và yêu thương đến cùng (x. Ga 13,11), yêu
thương đến nỗi dám chấp nhận hy sinh tính mạng cho những người mình yêu
(x. Ga 15,13). Truyền giáo đồng nghĩa với làm chứng cho Chúa Kitô (x. Lc
24, 47, 48, Cv 1,8) bằng đời sống theo gương của Người.</span></p>

Giáo Hội luôn trong nỗ lực loan báo Tin mừng của Chúa Giêsu cho toàn thể
thế giới. Công đồng Vatican II đã phác họa hướng đi mục vụ truyền giáo:
“Vui mừng và hy vọng, buồn sầu và lo sợ của con người ngày hôm nay, nhất
là của người nghèo khổ, bị ruồng bỏ quên lãng, cũng là niềm vui, hy
vọng, nỗi buồn sầu lo lắng của môn đệ Chúa Kitô…”( Hiến chế Giáo hội, số
1).</span></p>

Sứ vụ truyền giáo của Giáo hội thời nào và ở đâu cũng bắt đầu từ mẫu
gương Chúa Giêsu.</span></p>

Khi đi rao giảng Tin Mừng, Chúa Giêsu ưu tiên để ý đến những người
nghèo, người tội lỗi, người ngoại và những người bệnh tật. Chúa Giêsu áp
dụng vào chính mình những lời tiên tri Isaia xưa đã nói: “Thần Khí Chúa
ngự trên tôi, Chúa đã xức dầu tấn phong tôi.Sai tôi đi loan báo Tin Mừng
cho kẻ nghèo hèn” (Lc 4,17-20). Chúa Giêsu cũng đã xác định: “Thầy đến
không phải để kêu gọi người công chính, nhưng để kêu gọi người tội lỗi”
(Mt 9,13).</span></p>

Chúa Giêsu nói với người phụ nữ ngoại giáo Samaria: “Này chị, hãy tin
tôi: Đã đến giờ, các người sẽ thờ phượng Chúa Cha, không phải trên núi
này hay tại Giêrusalem… Nhưng giờ đã đến, và chính là lúc này đây, giờ
những người thờ phượng đích thực sẽ thờ Chúa Cha trong tinh thần và
trong sự thực. Vì Chúa Cha tìm kiếm những ai thờ phượng Người như thế”
(Ga 4,21-24).</span></p>

Suốt đời, Chúa Giêsu đã sống gần gũi với 4 hạng người: người nghèo,
người tội lỗi, người ngoại và những người bệnh tật. Chúa Giêsu đến với
họ, cho họ thấy, Người rất thương họ, và tình thương đó là vô hạn, vô
cùng. Thương đến đổ máu mình ra, chết cho họ, chết thay cho họ, và cho
mọi người. Chúa Giêsu hiến thân đến tột cùng vì tình yêu. Chính ở điểm
hiến thân trên thánh giá mà Người làm vinh danh Chúa Cha, và chính Người
được tôn vinh. Chúa Giêsu đã nói trước khi hiến tế: “Lạy Cha, giờ đã
đến. Xin Cha tôn vinh Con Cha, để con Cha tôn vinh Cha” (Ga 17,1).</span></p>

Chúa Giêsu muốn các môn đệ cũng hãy theo gương Thầy, đem Tin Mừng đến
cho 4 hạng người đó.</span></p>

“Truyền giáo là trình bày tình yêu của Thiên Chúa được tỏ bày trong Đức

Nói cách khác, truyền giáo là yêu như Chúa Giêsu yêu. Chúa dành tình yêu
đặc biệt cho 4 hạng người: người ngoại, người tội lỗi, người bệnh tật và

– Chúa Giêsu về thăm quê hương Nazareth. Đồng hương đang niềm nở đón
tiếp Chúa thì bổng dưng đổi thái độ. Họ đã đảo và đòi giết Chúa vì Chúa
đề cao người ngoại, coi người ngoại hơn người đạo (Do Thái Giáo).”Vào
thời Êlia, khi trời hạn hán suốt ba năm sáu tháng, cả nước phải đói kém
dữ dội, thiếu gì bà góa trong nước Itrael, thế mà ông không được sai đến
giúp một bà nào cả, nhưng chỉ được sai đến giúp bà góa thành Sarépta
miền Siđôn. Cũng vậy, vào thời ngôn sứ Êlisa, thiếu gì người phong hủi ở
trong nước Itrael, nhưng không người nào được sạch, mà chỉ có ông Naaman
người xứ Syri thôi” (Lc 4, 25-37).</span></p>

– Tại Caphanaum, Chúa đã đề cao một viên sĩ quan người ngoại, đề cao đến
mức độ có thể bị hiểu lầm: “Tôi chưa thấy một niềm tin nào như thế trong
dân tộc Israel” (Lc 7,9). Tại miền Tia và Xiđon, Chúa đề cao niềm tin
người đàn bà xứ Canaan: “Này bà, lòng tin của bà lớn thật.”(Mt
15,21-28). Chúa Giêsu từng ngỡ ngàng trước lòng tin của viên bách quản
(Mt 8,10-11).Giờ đây Chúa đối diện với lòng tin của một người mẹ thương
con.Chính tình thương thêm sức mạnh cho lòng tin, khiến lòng tin trở nên
kiên trì, bất chấp thinh lặng và từ chối.Lòng tin không mất hy vọng ngay
khi có vẻ chẳng còn gì để hy vọng.Lòng tin mạnh mẽ và khiêm hạ của người
mẹ đã chinh phục Chúa Giêsu,và cuối cùng đã chạm được vào trái tim của
Chúa.</span></p>

Thật ra ttrong nước Israel có nhiều người có niềm tin lớn hơn ông sĩ
quan, người mẹ Canaan ấy nhiều. Bà Êlisabeth, Gioan Tẩy Giả, thánh Giuse
và Đức Mẹ đều là người Israel. Chúa cường điệu lời khen để ta thấy Người
thương người ngoại đến mức độ nào.</span></p>

– Dụ ngôn người Samari tốt lành (Lc 10, 29-37) đề cao người ngoại hơn cả
mấy ông trợ tế và tư tế. Đặc biệt là khi Chúa nói với ông kinh sư bậc
thầy của Do Thái giáo: “Ông hãy về và làm như thế!”. Làm như thế tức là
noi gương một người ngoại.</span></p>

-“Chúa Giêsu đi khắp các thành thị, làng mạc, giảng dạy trong các hội
đường của họ, rao giảng Tin Mừng Nước Trời và chữa các bệnh hoạn tật
nguyền.” (Mt 9, 35) -“Ra khỏi thuyền, Chúa Giêsu thấy một đoàn người
đông đảo thì chạnh lòng thương và chữa lành các bệnh nhân của họ”. (Mt
14, 14) -“Có những đám người đông đảo kéo đến cùng Người, đem theo những
kẻ què quặt, đui mù, tàn tật, câm điếc và nhiều bệnh nhân khác nữa. Họ
đặt những kẻ ấy dưới chân Người và Người chữa lành… (Mt 15, 30) -“Chúa
Giêsu chữa nhiều kẻ ốm đau mắc đủ thứ bệnh tật và trừ nhiều quỷ, nhưng
không cho quỷ nói, vì chúng biết Người là ai.” (Mc 1, 34)</span></p>

Quan niệm của Cựu Ước cho rằng bệnh gắn liền với tội. Bệnh tật như là
một sự trừng phạt bởi tội lỗi gây ra. Vì thế, người ta xa lánh bệnh
nhân, nhất là bệnh phong cùi. Đó là một bệnh nan y bị mọi người kinh
tởm, không chỉ vì sự dơ bẩn “ô uế theo luật Do thái”, hay lây nhiễm, mà
còn bị xa lánh như kẻ tội lỗi. Chính các Tông đồ vẫn còn mang cái nhìn
ấy khi hỏi Chúa, người mù từ khi mới sinh là do tội của anh hay gia đình
anh.(x. Ga 9, 2-3). Chúa đã trả lời không bởi tội, nhưng để làm vinh
danh Thiên Chúa.</span></p>

Chúa yêu người bệnh tật, và cứu họ khỏi nỗi đau thân xác tâm hồn. Thần
học Do thái giáo cho rằng bệnh tật là hậu quả của tội. Chúa phản đối
điều đó. Cứ mỗi lần Chúa chữa bệnh, Chúa lại gánh lấy nỗi khổ nhân loại.</span></p>

Chúa đã thông truyền khả năng chữa lành cho các tông đồ: “Rồi Chúa Giêsu
gọi mười hai môn đệ lại, ban cho các ông được quyền trên các thần ô uế,
để các ông trừ chúng và chữa hết các bệnh hoạn tật nguyền” (Mt 10, 1).
Khi sai các môn đệ đi rao giảng Tin Mừng, Chúa cũng ra lệnh chăm sóc
bệnh nhân: “Anh em hãy chữa lành người đau yếu, làm cho kẻ chết sống
lại, cho người phong hủi được sạch và khử trừ ma quỷ”. (Mt 10, 8). Sứ vụ
loan báo Tin Mừng của Chúa Giêsu gắn liền với sứ vụ chăm sóc bệnh nhân.
Chính các tông đồ nối tiếp công việc của Chúa Giêsu, vừa truyền giáo vừa
chữa lành.</span></p>

Chúa yêu người nghèo và kêu gọi người giàu chia cơm sẻ áo cho người

người nghèo, thì Chúa bảo là từ chối Chúa (Mt 25, 31-46). Người giàu mà
chỉ lo ăn xài, chứ không lo chia cơm xẻ áo thì Chúa gọi là đồ ngốc (Lc
12,20).</span></p>

Người truyền giáo là người được Chúa Thánh Thần tác động và làm trổ sinh
hoa trái giống như Mẹ: “Thánh Thần sẽ ngự xuống trên Bà, và quyền năng
Đấng Tối Cao sẽ ngự xuống trên Bà” (Lc 1, 35). Hoa trái của Chúa Thánh
Thần là “hoan lạc, bình an…”. Hân hoan trong Thánh Thần, từ đó: “Đức
Maria lên đường vội vã” thăm Êlisabet (Lc 1,39), gợi lại hình ảnh ngôn
sứ Isaia tiên báo: “Đẹp thay trên núi đồi bước chân người loan báo tin
mừng, công bố bình an, người loan tin hạnh phúc, công bố ơn cứu độ và
nói với Sion rằng: “Thiên Chúa ngươi là vua hiển trị” (Is 52,7). Đức
Maria mang trọn niềm vui Đấng Cứu Độ mà nhân loại đón đợi. Đức Maria trở
nên người loan báo Tin Mừng vì Mẹ mang trọn niềm vui Chúa Thánh Thần. Ai
để cho Chúa Thánh Thần hoạt động trong cuộc đời của mình cũng là người
mang trọn niềm vui loan báo.</span></p>

Đức Maria còn là người công bố Tin Mừng: “Đấng Toàn Năng đã làm cho tôi
những điều cao cả, danh Người thật chí thánh chí tôn” (Lc 1, 49). Thấy
được tình thương Thiên Chúa thể hiện trong cuộc đời mình nên lời công bố
mang một niềm tin xác tín, đã gặp và đã thấy.</span></p>

Để trở thành người loan Tin Mừng, Đức Maria đã “hằng ghi nhớ tất cả
những điều ấy trong lòng” (Lc 3,51). Cầu nguyện là chiêm ngắm những điều
Thiên Chúa đã thực hiện nơi mình. Cầu nguyện là cuộc trao đổi, đối thoại
giữa những khó khăn và thử thách. Đức Maria trở thành người công bố Tin
Mừng, bởi Mẹ đã chiêm ngắm công trình của Thiên Chúa thực hiện cho dân
tộc, cho chính Mẹ.</span></p>

Chúa Giêsu là lẽ sống, là hạnh phúc, là niềm vui của cuộc đời mỗi kitô
hữu. Chúng ta phải xác tín như Đức Maria: “Linh hồn tôi ngợi khen Đức
Chúa” (Lc 1, 46). Tràn ngập niềm hân hoan bởi Mẹ đã gặp thấy và cưu mang
chính niềm vui có Chúa Giêsu trong lòng Mẹ. Đức Maria reo ca: “Thần trí
tôi hớn hở vui mừng trong Thiên Chúa, Đấng cứu độ tôi” (Lc 1, 47). Đức
Maria đã cưu mang chính Chúa Giêsu, quà tặng tuyệt hảo nhất của Thiên
Chúa, nguồn ơn cứu rỗi duy nhất, công bố, trao tặng cho nhân loại.</span></p>

Cách riêng, trong hoàn cảnh xã hội ngày nay, đức tin của người Công giáo
