Trong những ngày này, cả thế giới đang lao đao vì những con virus Corona
bé xíu. Số nạn nhân tăng luỹ tiến từng ngày khiến tất cả thế giới ít
nhiều đều cảm thấy sợ hãi. Mọi lĩnh vực trong cuộc sống đều bị con virus
nhỏ nhoi này làm tổn hại, đến độ có thể phá sản. Ngay cả lĩnh vực tôn
giáo cũng không ngoại lệ. Các nhà thờ phải đóng cửa… Không một người vô
tư nào có thể không cảnh giác và không thực hiện những biện pháp phòng
ngừa để bảo vệ mình và người thân trước nguy cơ bị lây nhiễm.Từ cái ngày
mà Covid-19 đi vào đời sống của con người cho tới nay, không biết rõ bao
nhiêu người đã tử vong vì nó, bao nhiêu người đã chết ở các bệnh viện,
và bao nhiêu người đã qua đời ở bên ngoài kia. Những điều tra và nghi
vấn có thể sẽ chấm dứt khi thời gian trôi đi, và sẽ mãi là bí ẩn không
lời giải?</span></p>

Nếu đọc qua những lá thư của Giáo Hội liên quan đến lần đại dịch này,
chúng ta dễ dàng nghe được những lời mời gọi nguyện cầu và trở về với
Thiên Chúa. Nhất là mùa dịch đang diễn ra trong Mùa Chay, lời gọi ấy lại
càng thống thiết hơn. Hẳn nhiên, đó luôn là sứ mạng của Giáo Hội, để
giúp con người trung tín vào Thiên Chúa. Trong cảnh dịch lan tràn như
hiện nay, Giáo Hội càng nhìn thấy nơi đó một dấu chỉ lớn lao. Vì trong
đau khổ và nghịch cảnh, một mặt người tín hữu dễ phớt lờ tiếng nói của
Thiên Chúa trong biến cố này; mặt khác, Giáo Hội luôn giúp con người trở
về với Thiên Chúa. Hoặc nói như Clive Staples Lewis: <em style="outline: none; list-style-type: none; box-sizing: border-box; border: 0px none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px">“Thiên
Chúa thì thầm trong những lúc ta vui, Người thì thầm trong lương tâm ta.
Nhưng Người nói lớn mạnh trong những đau khổ của ta. Những đau khổ đó là
cái loa tăng âm để làm thức tỉnh một thế giới ngủ mê.”</em> (x. Youcat

Chắc chắn virus Corona đang ảnh hưởng không chỉ đến tính mạng nhiều
người, nó còn tác động đến hầu hết khía cạnh của đời sống. Có người ví
đó như cuộc chiến tranh mà toàn thế giới phải chống chọi. Mỗi tín hữu
cũng không miễn nhiễm với con virus này. Cứ nhìn thành đô Rôma tráng lệ,
đông đúc người hành hương, thì trước virus Corona, mọi chương trình,
thánh lễ công cộng đều tạm ngưng. Điều ấy có nghĩa là người ta đang có
biện pháp cực mạnh để hy vọng ngăn ngừa được sức công phá của virus.</span></p>

Trong bầu không khí ấy, dĩ nhiên, Giáo Hội thấy được nỗi đau đớn, hoảng
sợ của người dân. Giáo Hội thấy nơi đó một lời mời gọi để con người cần
hoán cải, sám hối và ăn năn nhiều hơn. Giáo Hội đang tiếp tục lắng nghe
tiếng Chúa trong những biến cố của thế giới, nhất là lần đại dịch này.
Phải chăng Thiên Chúa muốn nhắc cho con người về thân phận mỏng dòn,
mong manh và phải chết ? Phải chăng con người toàn năng có thể làm được
mọi thứ, có thể tiêu diệt được địch thù đang tấn công nhân loại ? Phải
chăng virus Covid-19 là hệ quả của những lầm lạc và kiêu ngạo của con
người ? Hình như con người chia phe nhóm đấu đá, đến nỗi hậu quả là chết
chóc tang thương ? Hoặc là, virus này khiến thế giới bừng tỉnh về một
viễn tượng thiên đường do chính con người có thể tạo nên bằng quyền lực,
tranh giành và cố chấp ? v.v.</span></p>

Danh sách câu hỏi trên đây có thể dài vô tận mà mỗi người có thể đặt ra
trước con virus này. Đừng quên, Giáo Hội luôn nhớ sứ mạng của mình là
chăm chú tìm kiếm, lắng nghe, khám phá tiếng nói, cũng như hoạt động của
Thiên Chúa trong dòng lịch sử qua những dấu chỉ thời đại. Sẽ không thừa
khi Giáo Hội thống thiết nhắc con cái mình về một dấu chỉ đang diễn ra
trước mắt chúng ta. Đó là thời cơ để con người khiêm tốn hơn, nhìn nhận
thân phận và vị trí của mình trong công trình sáng tạo của Thiên Chúa.

Đức Giêsu bác bỏ quan niệm của những người đương thời và cũng có thể là
của một số trong chúng ta: anh ta không phải bị phạt vì đã phạm tội. Đức
Giêsu không đưa ra một lời giải thích cho tất cả sự ác trên thế giới.
Thay vào đó, Người lại nhắm đến những nhu cầu của người thanh niên đang
đứng trước mặt mình. Việc anh mù được chữa lành biểu lộ sự hiện diện

Cha mẹ anh ta và cả những người láng giềng cùng những người Pharisêu đều
đã không “nhận ra” công trình của Thiên Chúa được bày tỏ qua việc anh
được chữa lành. Họ không trông thấy những điều Thiên Chúa đã thực hiện.
Và anh mù cũng không hiểu ngay được rằng điều gì đã xảy ra cho mình. Anh
dần biết rõ về Đức Giêsu sau khi bị các nhà cầm quyền liên tục chất vấn,
và sau đó cuộc trò chuyện với Đức Giêsu đã cho anh được “sáng mắt”.</span></p>

Đức Giêsu đã trông thấy và dừng lại trước “người mù từ thuở mới sinh”.
Người không những chữa lành cho anh, mà sau đó còn đi tìm kiếm anh, trò
chuyện với anh và đưa anh tới đức tin. Khi chữa cho anh mù được sáng
mắt, Đức Giêsu đã cho anh bước những bước thật dài trên hành trình đức
tin. Nhờ vậy, từ sự yếu kém ở chỗ chỉ coi Đức Giêsu như một con người
bình thường, trải qua bao khó khăn thử thách, đức tin của anh đã tiến
triển không ngừng và đạt đến mức thập toàn khi xác tín rằng Đức Giêsu là
vị ngôn sứ, là người bởi Thiên Chúa mà đến, và là Con Người.</span></p>

Sáng Đức Tin”</em>, Đức Giáo hoàng Phanxicô ban hành ngày 29.6.2013, có
đoạn: <em style="outline: none; list-style-type: none; box-sizing: border-box; border: 0px none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px">“Đức
tin như một thính giác và thị giác”</em> gồm ba số 29, 30, 31. Đức tin
là <em style="outline: none; list-style-type: none; box-sizing: border-box; border: 0px none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px">một
hồng ân siêu nhiên </em>Chúa ban cho con người. Đức tin trở thành ánh
sáng hướng dẫn suốt hành trình cuộc đời mỗi người. Người “mù từ thưở mới
sinh” đã <em style="outline: none; list-style-type: none; box-sizing: border-box; border: 0px none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px">nghe
thấy, rồi cảm thấy Đức Giêsu và đã được Chúa mở mắt để anh ta nhìn
thấy và tin vào Người.</em></span></p>

“Thầy là Ánh Sáng trần gian. Ai theo Thầy sẽ không đi trong tối tăm,
nhưng sẽ có Ánh Sáng dẫn đến cõi trường sinh</em>” (Ga 8,12). Đức Giêsu
là ánh sáng, Người thi hành sứ vụ trong thế gian bằng lời nói và việc
làm của mình. Người mời gọi thính giả và độc giả “làm sự thật” và “đến
với ánh sáng”, “đi theo” Người để “không bước đi trong bóng tối” và
“có ánh sáng của sự sống”. Đức Giêsu đề nghị với đám đông bước đi trong
ánh sáng khi ánh sáng còn ở giữa họ. Người mời gọi họ “tin vào ánh sáng”
để “trở nên con cái ánh sáng”. Như thế, người tin vào Đức Giêsu thì
không ở lại trong bóng tối. Đức Giêsu nói đến những ai “thấy ánh sáng
của thế gian này” thì không vấp ngã, còn những ai “ánh sáng không ở
trong người ấy” thì vấp ngã (Ga 11,9-10). Nghĩa là “thấy Đức Giêsu” và
“có Đức Giêsu ở với mình” thì sẽ vững vàng tiến bước trong ánh sáng của
sự sống.</span></p>

Hãy luôn cảm tạ Chúa vì Ngài đã ban cho chúng ta đôi mắt sáng suốt của
đức tin, nhờ đó chúng ta biết được ý nghĩa của cuộc đời, thấy được con
đường phải đi và những việc phải làm để đạt đến hạnh phúc thật.</span></p>

Đôi mắt là tuyệt tác của thiên nhiên, là cửa ngỏ tâm hồn. Đôi mắt có thị
giác và thị lực. Thị giác là khả năng của đôi mắt có thể thấy. Thị lực
là mức độ thấy của khả năng ấy. Thấy nhiều hay ít. Thấy xa hay gần. Thấy
rõ hay mờ. Người cận thị chỉ thấy được rất gần. Người viễn thị thì thấy
xa hơn. Cần có thị giác tốt và thị lực tốt, đôi mắt mới sáng ngời. Thị
lực còn là của trí óc và của con tim. Có người chỉ thấy được cái thế
giới chật hẹp và ích kỷ của bản thân mình; có người thấy được hoàn cảnh,
tâm tư và nguyện vọng của người khác. Thị lực còn là niềm tin.</span></p>

Người mù tuy mù nhưng lại có thị lực tốt. Anh đã thấy được Ðức Giêsu là
một ngôn sứ. Anh thấy nhiều cái mà những người sáng mắt không thấy. Anh
thấy quyền năng và tình thương của Chúa có thể cho anh được sáng mắt.
Anh thấy bằng lòng tin. Chính vì lòng tin này mà Chúa Giêsu đã thương
cứu chữa cho anh sáng mắt. Anh mù, mắt không thấy Chúa, nhưng lòng đã
thấy Chúa rồi vì anh có lòng tin. Thị lực lòng tin cho anh tiếp nhận ánh
sáng tình yêu đầy tràn hy vọng. Ðức Giêsu đem lại ánh sáng cho người mù,
còn những kẻ vốn nhìn thấy lại trở nên đui mù. Trước sự chống đối của
người Pharisêu, Đức Giêsu trả lời: <em style="outline: none; list-style-type: none; box-sizing: border-box; border: 0px none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px">“Nếu
các ông đui mù, thì các ông đã chẳng có tội. Nhưng giờ đây các ông nói
rằng: ‘chúng tôi thấy’, nên tội các ông vẫn còn</em>”.</span></p>

Chúa vẫn luôn mời gọi mỗi người chúng con nhạy bén nhận ra dấu chỉ thời
đại. Nó đang diễn ra trước mắt chúng con. Ước gì mỗi người chúng con
luôn lắng nghe được tiếng nói của Chúa Thánh Thần đang lớn tiếng trong

dâng lời cảm tạ, tôn thờ, phụng sự và kính mến Chúa với cả tâm tình con
