Tuần này Chúa dạy chúng ta về sự cẩn trọng trong việc <b><i>xét đoán</i></b>
nhất là xét đoán về người khác.</span></p>

1. Chúng con đã có bao giờ xét đoán ai chưa?</span></p>

<span lang="VI" style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif">
Riêng cha, cha thấy nếu mình không cẩn trọng thì mình rất dễ rơi vào cái
thói xấu ở đời là hay xét đoán người khác. Cha kể cho chúng con câu
chuyện này. Đã lâu lắm rồi, một lần nọ cha bị bệnh mà phải đi nằm nhà
thương. Năm trong nhà thương cha thấy thời giờ ở trong đó sao mà chậm
rãi quá. Cha nhờ một người thân ra ngoài xạp báo mua cho cha một tập
truyện. Tên của tập truyện nhỏ đó: "Cái chuông điện" Trong tập truyện
nhỏ này có nhiều nhưng cha nhớ mãi câu chuyện này.</span></p>

Trong một đia đình kia có một ông bố có người con đang đi học.</span></p>

Một hôm ông ấy thấy đứa con đang cầm cuốn sổ liên lạc trong tay. Nhìn
thấy thế ông bỗng nhớ tới có lần đọc trong báo, ông thấy người ta khuyên
không phải chỉ nhà trường mà cả các bậc phụ huynh cũng phải làm công tác
vào công tác giáo dục con cái. Thế là ông quyết định thử bắt tay vào
công tác giáo dục này. Ông nói với đứa con:</span></p>

- Đưa bố xem nào!</span></p>

Thế là ông lấy từ tay con trai ông cuốn sổ nhầu nát, bẩn thỉu, mất mấy
trang. Những trang còn lại thì viết nhằng nhịt toàn chữ nguệch ngoạc đến
phát sợ. Chỉ có nét chữ bằng mực đỏ của cô giáo thì còn đọc được. Ông sờ
tay vào khoá thắt lưng chuẩn bị sẵn, rồi bắt đầu đọc: "Con trai của Ông
bà ngủ gục trong giờ học - Con trai của Ông bà gây gỗ với bảo vệ". Ông
bắt đầu nóng tiết rồi tự nói thầm</span></p>

- A! cái thắng mất dạy! - Bằng ngần này tuổi mà đã gây gỗ với bảo vệ thì
không hiểu sau này nó còn kiêng nể ai nữa. Thật đáng sợ! Riêng mấy nhận
xét này thôi thì đã đáng cho nó một trận đón rồi! Và Ông bắt đầu cởi
giây thắt lưng.</span></p>

Ông cho một viên Valiđan - thuốc trợ tim- vào miệng rồi đọc tiếp: "Trong
giờ vẽ, đáng lẽ phải vẽ con buớm thì lại đi vẽ mụ phù thủy cuỡi chổi -
Ném đá làm vỡ Biển Thái bình dương - Yêu cầu mang ba rúp 70 cô pếch đến
để bồi thường tiền sửa chữa quả địa cầu địa lý - Giờ toán ngồi săn cá
Xê-lêt-ca."Đọc tới dây ông thấy có gì hơi khác thường, ông tự nhủ:
"Khoan khoan....- Hình như có một cái gì đó hơi lạ." Rồi Ông tra hỏi đứa
con của Ông:</span></p>

- Cái gì ạ? Chính bố biết là con rất ghét món Xê-lết-ca. Với lại đây có
phải là sổ liên lạc của con đâu. Con tìm thấy trong đống sách cũ của bố
trên gác xếp đấy chứ ạ. </span></p>

Nghe con nói thế, ông tự nhủ trong lòng: "Tôi xem lại cuốn sổ - Quả thật
như vậy! Ngoài bìa có tên đề là tên của tôi. Trong cuốn sổ cũng quen
quen. Thôi thì đích là cuốn sổ liên lạc của tôi rồi.- Chà định giáo dục
con mà thành ra như thế này!" Rồi giọng ông dịu hẳn xuống</span></p>

Ông thở phào như trút được gánh nặng trong người. Biết giáo dục con kịp

Đúng là cái rác trong con mắt của người anh em chúng ta thấy rất rõ
nhưng cái xà trong con mắt của chính mình thì lại không để ý tới ?” (Lc

Chúng ta rất dễ nổi quạu, phê bình, nói xấu anh em chúng ta và rất nhiều
khi chúng ta quên rằng chính mình nhiều khi còn tệ hơn thế nữa. Chính
bản thân chúng ta còn đầy những thói hư tật xấu. Nhưng khi lên án, chỉ
trích anh em, chúng ta làm như thể mình vô tội. Thực ra đó chỉ là cái đà
lớn che đi con người của tôi mà thôi.</span></p>

Một hôm, có người chạy tới thì thầm với nhà thông thái Socrates:</span></p>

tôi có lọt qua ba cái sàng ấy không. Cái sàng thứ nhất là sự thật. Ông
có chắc chắn rằng điều ông sắp nói là sự thật không?</span></p>

2. Chúng ta hãy tập cho mình cái thói quen đừng vội nghĩ xấu về người
khác. Hãy nhìn vào mình trước khi </span>

nhìn vào </span>
<span lang="VI" style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif">
người khác. Có như thế chúng ta sẽ tránh được cái thói xét đoán người
như lòng Chúa mong ước.</span></i><span lang="VI" style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif">
"Sao anh thấy cái rác trong con mắt của người anh em, mà cái xà trong
con mắt của chính mình thì lại không để ý tới? Sao anh lại có thể nói
với người anh em: "Này anh, hãy để tôi lấy cái rác trong con mắt anh
ra", trong khi chính mình lại không thấy cái xà trong con mắt của mình?
(Lc 6,41-42)</span></p>

Vào thời Vua Henry VII của Anh, ở Luân Đôn nạn trộm cắp thật nhiều. Quan
Chương ấn Thomas More nhận thấy vị thẩm phán già hay khiển trách những
người đến khiếu nại vì bị móc túi ngoài đường, ông quan tòa già quả
quyết rằng nếu mấy nạn nhân đó cẩn thận giữ túi tiền của mình thì làm
sao mà mất được.</span></p>

Nhân một cuộc họp các thẩm phán, Thomas More bí mật cho gọi một tên móc
túi chuyên nghiệp đang ở tù và dặn rằng:</span></p>

-Ta sẽ thưởng cho nhà ngươi, nếu ngươi móc được túi tiền của ông quan
tòa già kia. </span></p>

Tên móc túi xin phép được tới nói chuyện với vị quan tòa già và đưa tay
khéo léo móc được túi tiền của ông ta rồi hiên ngang về chỗ ngồi .

Thomas More bấy giờ mới lên tiếng xin các vị thẩm phán làm phúc bố thí
cho một người nghèo ở đó. Vị nào cũng rờ túi tiền của mình. Vị quan tòa
già kia giật mình vì không thấy túi tiền mình đâu nên la lớn:</span></p>

Ông quan tòa mặt đỏ bừng vì giận. Bấy giờ Thomas More mới gọi tên lưu
manh kia và bảo trả lại túi tiền cho đương sự. Thomas nói với vị thẩm
phán già: </span></p>

- Tôi khuyên ông hãy bớt nghiêm khắc với những người đã bị móc túi ngoài
đường phố, vì chính ông cũng đã để cho người ta cuỗm mất túi tiền ngay
giữa đại hội như thế!</span></p>

3. Cha muốn kết thúc bằng lời khuyên của thánh Giacôbê "Thưa anh em, anh
em đừng nói xấu nhau. Ai nói xấu hoặc xét đoán anh em mình là nói xấu và
xét đoán Lề Luật. Nếu anh xét đoán Lề Luật, thì anh không còn là kẻ vâng
giữ, mà là kẻ xét đoán Lề Luật.(Gc 4,11)</span></p>

Chỉ có một Đấng ra Lề Luật và xét xử, đó là Đấng có quyền cứu thoát và
tiêu diệt. Còn anh là ai mà dám xét đoán người thân cận? (Gc 4,12)</span></p>

Chúa còn nói mạnh hơn "Anh em đừng xét đoán, để khỏi bị Thiên Chúa xét
đoán vì anh em xét đoán thế nào, thì anh em cũng sẽ bị Thiên Chúa xét
đoán như vậy; và anh em đong đấu nào, thì Thiên Chúa cũng sẽ đong đấu ấy
cho anh em."</span></p>

Một tâm hồn trong trắng, </span></p>

cố tránh cả những ô uế nhỏ mọn </span></p>

để luôn xứng đáng với Chúa.</span></p>
