ta dần dần quên đi, để rồi mọi cố gắng, mọi nỗ lực đều được tập trung vào

hiệu tốt chứng tỏ các dân tộc đã sẵn sàng tha thứ, lấy tình thương xóa bỏ

áo ngoài của anh, thì cũng đừng cản nó lấy áo trong. Ai xin, thì hãy cho, ai
lấy cái gì của anh, thì đừng đòi lại. Anh em muốn người ta làm gì cho mình,
thì cũng hãy làm cho người ta như vậy.</span></p>

Anh em hãy tha thứ, thì sẽ được Thiên Chúa thứ tha. Anh em hãy cho, thì sẽ

Phải dạy cho chúng một bài học, bằng không chúng cứ lấn át mãi. Tuy nhiên,

việc chúng ta đang chạy theo tinh thần thế gian và rời xa tinh thần của

Kitô hữu chúng ta còn phải đi xa hơn thế nữa, bằng cách lấy ân đền oán, lấy
tình thương xóa bỏ hận thù: Nếu kẻ thù đang đói, hãy cho ăn. Nếu kẻ thù đang
khát, hãy cho uống. Chính với những việc làm như thế, chúng ta mới có thể
cảm hóa được những kẻ thù của chúng ta, bởi vì cách thức hiệu nghiệm nhất để
tiêu diệt kẻ thù không phải là chém giết, nhưng là làm cho họ trở thành
những người bạn. Đồng thời những việc làm như thế còn là một phản ảnh trung
thực cho tinh thần Kitô giáo, biến chúng ta trở thành giống Thiên Chúa, Đấn
đã làm cho mặt trời mọc lên và chiếu sáng trên người lành và kẻ dữ, cũng như
đã làm mưa xuống cho người công chính và kẻ bất lương. Trên một tờ báo,
