Hôm ấy Chúa vừa mới làm một phép lạ lớn: Chúa biến 5 chiếc bánh và hai
con cá do một em bé dâng tặng ra nhiều, nhiều đến mức độ hơn 5000 người
ăn mà vẫn còn dư.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0cm; line-height: normal; margin: 6.0pt 0cm; background: white">

Đứng trước việc lạ lùng ấy dân chúng cảm thấy hết sức phấn khởi. Họ muốn
tôn Chúa lên là vua của họ. Thế nhưng Chúa đã không muốn điều đó. Chính
vì thế mà Chúa đã trốn họ, bỏ họ mà đi. Chúa đi cùng với các môn đệ của
Ngài bằng thuyền mà qua bờ biển bên kia trước. Dân chúng thấy vậy. Họ
cũng chẳng chịu thua. Họ lại lên thuyền và đi tìm kiếm Chúa. Họ không
muốn Chúa bỏ họ.
<span style="border: 1.0pt none windowtext; padding: 0cm">Thật vậy, họ
mong được Ngài cho ăn tiếp. Chúa Giêsu không bằng lòng với thái độ đó
nên khi gặp lại họ Ngài nói thẳng:<b><i>"Thật, tôi bảo thật các ông, các
ông đi tìm tôi không phải vì các ông đã thấy dấu lạ, nhưng vì các ông đã
được ăn bánh no nê”</i></b><i>. </i>Khi nói điều đó, Chúa Giêsu không
muốn nói là việc cần có bánh để ăn là xấu nhưng Chúa muốn cho người mọi
người hiểu rằng: Đừng tìm Chúa với thái độ tầm thường như thế nhưng hãy
đến với Chúa bằng một <b><i>thái độ cao cả</i></b> <b><i>hơn.</i></b> <b>
"</b></span><b><i>Các ông hãy ra công làm việc không phải vì lương thực
mau hư nát, nhưng để có lương thực thường tồn đem lại phúc trường sinh,
là thứ lương thực Con Người sẽ ban cho các ông, bởi vì chính Con Người
là Ðấng Thiên Chúa Cha đã ghi dấu xác nhận"</i></b>.<b><i><span style="border: 1.0pt none windowtext; padding: 0cm">(Ga

Bởi vì lương thực của trần gian dù quí giá đến đâu đi nữa cũng không thể
bảo đảm mãi mãi cho sự sống của con người được.</span></i></b></p>

Steve Jobs là một trong những người sáng chế ra điện thoại mang nhãn
hiệu Apple nổi tiếng trên thế giới. Ông là người có trong tay hơn 7 tỷ
USD cổ phiếu. Khi gần chết Jobs đã để lại cho những người đang sống lời
nhắn nhủ này:<b><i> "</i></b></span><span lang="VI" style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif">Cái
giường nào đắt giá nhất trên đời? Đó là giường bệnh viện, vì nếu có
tiền, bạn có thể mướn tài xế lái xe cho bạn, nhưng không thể dùng tiền
để thuê người mang bệnh thay cho bạn. Mất tài sản mình có thể tìm lại
được, nhưng có một cái khi đã mất thì không thể tìm lại được: <b><i>sự
sống.</i></b> Dù đang ở giai đoạn nào trong cuộc đời, cuối cùng, tất cả
phải đối diện khi bức màn sự sống kéo xuống". </span></p>

Một vị hoàng đế thời trung cổ có đầy đủ giàu sang danh vọng, trong giây
phút nằm liệt trên giường và biết mình sắp chết đã thều thào nói lên ước
nguyện của mình như sau: “<b><i>Nếu bảo tôi đem đổi tất cả tiền của danh
vọng đang có, để đổi lấy thêm vài giờ sống trên trần gian này tôi cũng
sẽ đổi.” </i></b>Hơn ai hết, chính lúc phải kết thúc cuộc sống trên trần
gian này, vị hoàng đế giàu sang kia mới hiểu rằng: Sự sống là điều quí
giá nhất không gì có thể đánh đổi được.</span></p>

Câu chuyện người ta kể về Hoàng đế Charles Quint của Đế quốc Đức ngày
xưa. Đây là một giai thoại rất đẹp về hoàng đế:</span></p>

Sau nhiều năm tận tụy hy sinh phục vụ Hoàng đế, một vị trung thần của
ông ngã bệnh và đang chiến đấu với tử thần. Để tỏ lòng biết ơn và cảm
mến đối với con người đã suốt đời trung thành với mình, Hoàng đế Charles
Quint đã đích thân đến ngay bên giường bệnh của ông. Cầm tay vị trung
thần, Hoàng đế nói:</span></p>

điều khanh xin hoàn toàn ở ngoài tầm tay của trẫm, <b><i>chỉ Thiên Chúa
mới có thể ban và bảo đảm hồng an sự sống mà thôi.</i></b></span></p>

Trong tiếng thở dài, vị trung thần mới thốt lên như một lời nhắn nhủ cho

- Thật là vô ích cho tôi, vì tôi đã điên đồ đến độ không biết dành nhiều
thời gian hơn để phục vụ Chúa, mà lại hoang phí thời giờ trong việc phục
vụ các vua chúa trần gian”.</span></h1>

Đó chúng con thấy: Ngay sự sống trần gian mà con người còn phải lệ thuộc
vào Thiên Chúa thì huống chi là sự sống trường sinh mà Chúa hứa cho
những ai biết tìm kiếm Chúa. </span></p>

Chính vì thế mà Chúa bảo: <b>

sinh, là thứ lương thực Con Người sẽ ban cho các ông" (Ga 6,27)</i></b></span></p>

Lịch sử còn ghi:<b><i> </i></b>Mézeray là một sử gia danh tiếng tại làng
Ri nước Pháp vào năm 1610-1689. Cả đời ông không tin có thần thánh, hơn
nữa ông còn cho đạo công giáo là mê tín dị đoan. Năm 1683 lúc ốm nặng
nằm trên giường bệnh, thấy mình sắp chết, ông đã nhờ người nhà mời linh
mục đến dạy đạo và rửa tội cho ông. Hay tin này, các bạn thân đến khuyên
bảo và can ngăn. Nhưng sử gia Mézeray đã bảo họ rằng: </span></p>

margin-left:0cm;text-align:justify;text-indent:1.0cm;line-height:normal">

- Này các bạn, như các bạn đã biết cả đời tôi không tin tưởng thần
thánh. Nhưng những năm nằm trên giường bệnh chờ thần chết, tôi thấy nảy
ra trong đầu óc thắc mắc này: Tại sao tôi phải chết giữa lúc tôi còn
