<span style="font-size: 14pt">Lễ Giáng Sinh tức lễ Nhập Thể cho thấy một
sự tự ý hạ mình nào đó của Thiên Chúa. Để làm nổi bật sự tương phản giữa
tất cả và hư vô. Chúng ta được mời hãy ý thức lại về thân phận thụ tạo
của mình hãy thờ phụng Thiên Chúa đã tạo thành chúng ta. Thiên Chúa là
Đấng tự hữu, Người không được tạo thành- phần chúng ta, chúng ta đã được
tạo thành. Vì thế, chúng ta phải suy tư và hành động theo chiều nghĩ:
nhờ Thiên Chúa mà chúng ta có được mọi sự.</span></p>

<span style="font-size: 14pt">Ánh sáng rực rỡ đến từ mặc khải của Thiên
Chúa, ngày nay được diễn tả qua vô số ánh sáng đủ màu mà chúng ta trang
hoàng cho hang đá với lòng mến, sẽ giúp chúng ta chiêm ngắm biến cố sinh
ra của Đức Giê-su ở chiều sâu và nhất là mời gọi chúng ta thực hiện cùng
một kinh nghiệm thiêng liêng trong hành trình đi theo Đức Ki-tô của
chúng ta, như thánh Gioan diễn tả trong phần mở đầu sách Tin Mừng của
mình.</span></p>

<span style="font-size: 14pt">Con trẻ Giêsu là Ngôi Lời nhập thể đến cư
ngụ giữa chúng ta. Đứng trước Hài nhi bé mọn ở Bêlem, chúng ta được mời
tiến sâu vào chính mầu nhiêm Thiên Chúa, tới chỗ của Ngôi Lời – tức là
Lời hằng sống và thân mật của Thiên Chúa đã có trước toàn thể vũ trụ.
Như vậy chúng ta được mời hãy đến thờ lạy. Kẻ thờ phụng là kẻ khi được
tới gần bên Thiên Chúa liền nhận thức sâu sắc rằng mình là kẻ tuỳ thuộc,
vô giá trị, tội lỗi nữa. Kính thờ và thinh lặng, cảm tạ và vui sướng, đó
là cách tuyên xưng Chúa là sự Thiện tuyệt đối và nguồn mọi ơn lành.</span></p>

được nhiều học giả coi như là một Lời Tựa long trọng của tác phẩm: giọng
văn của phân đoạn này cũng như các đề tài chính của Tin Mừng được hàm
chứa trong đó biện minh cho nhận định này.</span></p>

câu 1-18 còn hơn là một lời tựa hay một phần mở nữa; các câu ấy chính là
Tin Mừng trong một cái nhìn tổng hợp và sâu sắc, tất cả phần còn lại chỉ
lấy lại sứ điệp mà diễn tả chi tiết bằng những câu truyện, qua đó ta
thấy Ngôi Lời đã đến trong thế gian này và chia loài người thành hai
khối trước mặt Người cách nhiệm mầu.</span></p>

<span style="font-size: 14pt">Thiên Chúa nói với chúng ta về tình yêu
của Người bằng cách gửi Lời Ngài đến với chúng ta. Lời Thiên Chúa đã trở
thành người phàm giống như chúng ta; Người đã nói một ngôn ngữ nhân
loại, và đã kể cho chúng ta về Cha của Người, nói về cách Người nghĩ về
chúng ta, và các chương trình Người lập ra cho chúng ta. Để biết Chúa
Cha, tất cả những gì chúng ta phải làm là nhìn Chúa Kitô, xem những gì
Người làm, lắng nghe những gì Người nói và dạy, nhìn xem những con người
mà Người quan hệ với, nơi và những người mà Người đến chia sẻ bữa cơm

<span style="font-size: 14pt">Đức Kitô là Ánh sáng. Người là Sự Sống, và
sự sống là Ánh sáng nhân loại. Thờ phụng cách linh hoạt giống như tâm
hồn tiến bước trên đường tới đích là Thiên Chúa. Phải được soi sáng mới
khỏi lạc đường. Đức Kitô- Anh sáng soi sáng trí tuệ con người và chỉ con
người thấy đường đi của số mệnh.</span></p>

thờ các ngẫu tượng (khoái lạc, danh vọng, tiền của, thế gian) thì dò dẫm
trong bóng tối linh hồn, và hiến mình cho những vật chết. Cách vô hình,
và nhiều phen thật bất hạnh cho y, kẻ ấy liên kết trong tâm hồn bóng tối
và sự chết. Trái lại, người nào tiếp nhận ánh sáng, tức quy tắc về Chân
Lý, do niềm tin vào Đức Kitô phát ra, người ấy liên kết trong tâm hồn
Ánh sáng và sự sống.</span></p>

tả trọn vẹn ý muốn của Thiên Chúa và mạc khải chính Thiên Chúa ra cho
loài người, để họ tin và được cứu độ, chúng ta cũng được mời gọi nhìn
lại và lượng định kinh nghiệm của chúng ta về khả năng “nói” của loài
người (như là thông giao, diễn tả sự tin tưởng, khuyến khích, trân
trọng, v.v…) và về “sự thinh lặng” (do cần thiết, do bị câm, do thiếu
quan tâm, do hiềm khích v.v…).</span></p>

<span style="font-size: 14pt">Các Kitô hữu cũng được thúc bách nhìn lại:
chúng ta có chăng khả năng nhận ra được là nhiều lần chúng ta bị bóng
tối vây hãm. Chúng ta phải tự hỏi: Điều gì ngăn cách giữa tôi và Đấng
tạo thành tôi, điều gì đang che phủ Ngài, khiến tôi không nhận ra Ngài
và ngăn cản tôi đi vào thông hiệp sống động với Ngài? Dường như chúng ta
còn đang bị cám dỗ thấy có nhiều điều đáng quan tâm hơn, quan trọng hơn,
thuyết phục hơn và hứa hẹn hơn là việc đón tiếp Thiên Chúa, Đấng tự hiến
ban chính mình! Đàng khác, nếu Chúa Cha yêu thương chúng ta đến như thế,
tại sao chúng ta lại không yêu thương nhau?</span></p>

thờ lạy Con trẻ Giêsu. Trong Hài Nhi, Thiên Chúa rất gần gũi – trong Hài
nhi có sự sung mãn của Thiên Chúa – và nhờ Hài nhi, chúng ta được có mặt
trên thế gian để sống, hiểu biết và yêu thương. Sự suy niệm về một vài
từ ngữ trong tự ngôn của thánh Gioan có thể cung cấp cho chúng ta một
