của chủ tế màu tím. Nhưng hôm nay chủ tế mặc lễ phục màu hồng, màu vui
mừng! Bởi vì hôm nay Lời Chúa loan báo cho chúng ta một tin hết sức vui
mừng: Chúa sắp đến viếng thăm chúng ta!</span></p>

đã đến ở Bêlem cách nay khoảng 2000 năm hay sao? Tại sao lại nói là Chúa
sắp đến? Thưa quả thực ở Bêlem Chúa đã đến với trần gian, nhưng chưa đến
với tâm hồn mọi người. Mà điều Chúa thiết tha mong muốn không phải là
đến một nơi nhưng là đến với con người.</span></p>

trong hang đá lạnh lẽo, mà không đến được với tâm hồn mỗi người chúng
ta?</span></p>

rên siết trong biển khổ cuộc đời...</span></p>

này biểu lộ niềm tin tưởng vào lời Chúa phán qua miệng ngôn sứ Isaia.
Tác giả tin rằng khi Thiên Chúa đến, Ngài sẽ minh oan cho người bị áp
bức, nâng đỡ những người yếu đuối, chở che những người cô thế cô thân...
Bởi thế, tác giả cất tiếng nài van "Lạy Chúa, xin đến cứu thoát chúng
tôi".</span></p>

đương thời, Gioan Tẩy Giả nôn nóng chờ Ðấng Messia của Thiên Chúa đến.
Gioan cũng đoán rằng Ðức Giêsu chính là Ðấng Messia ấy. Chỉ có điều
Gioan lại quan niệm rằng Ðấng Messia là một vị Thẩm phán nghiêm minh.
Ngài đến để trừng trị những người gian ác. Vì thế khi thấy Ðức Giêsu
chưa làm gì để trừng trị kẻ ác, thậm chí bản thân Gioan đang bị kẻ ác
giam giữ trong ngục mà Ngài cũng chưa ra tay. Gioan đâm ra hoang mang,
ông sai môn đệ đến thưa Người rằng: "Thầy có phải là Ðấng phải đến
chăng?"</span></p>

trực tiếp. Ngài bảo các môn đệ của Gioan về thuật lại cho thầy họ tất cả
những điều họ thấy Ngài làm: những kẻ bệnh hoạn tật nguyền được cứu chữa
và Tin Mừng được loan báo cho người nghèo. Ðó là những chi tiết mà ngôn
sứ Isaia dùng để mô tả Ðấng Messia, nhưng không phải là một Ðấng Messia
thẩm phán, mà là một Ðấng Messia Tôi Tớ.</span></p>

tiếp, Ðức Giêsu đã trả lời cho Gioan biết rằng Ngài chính là Ðấng
Messia; đồng thời Ngài cũng điều chỉnh lại quan niệm Messia của Gioan:
Ðấng Messia đến không phải để trừng trị mà để cứu vớt.</span></p>

xa lạ với suy nghĩ của Gioan. Vì thế, Ðức Giêsu nhắn với ông "Phúc cho

mau đến. Thế nhưng mong chờ đã lâu mà sao vẫn chưa thấy Chúa đến? Họ bắt
đầu nản lòng.</span></p>

tâm, vì Chúa đã gần đến".</span></p>

con người thời nay rất đầy đủ. Nhưng nếu đi sâu đến tận đáy lòng, ta mới
thấy nhiều khoảng trống mênh mông rất cần được lấp đầy:</span></p>

trống "siêu vật chất"</i>: Mặc dù tiền bạc, của cải, tiện nghi... - nói
chung là vật chất - có rất nhiều, nhưng lòng người vẫn luôn thấy thiếu.
Chỗ thiếu vắng này không thế lấy tiền mà mua được, không thể lấy vật
chất mà lấp đầy được.</span></p>

trống "tình yêu"</i>: người ta sống với nhau vì quyền lợi. Ai có lợi cho
tôi thì tôi đến; ai không có lợi thì tôi thờ ơ, ai không còn có lợi thì
tôi bỏ, ai có hại thì tôi tìm cách diệt trừ... Hình như tình yêu không
có chỗ trong lòng người.</span></p>

gì đó dài hơn, lâu hơn, mãi mãi...</span></p>

là mênh mông, và không ai ngoài Chúa có thể lấp đầy. Con người thời nay

Ðừng nóng vội</span></h4>

trọng cần giải quyết, người ta chia thành hai hạng khác nhau:</span></p>

không nóng vội nhưng rất kiên nhẫn, bởi vì Ngài muốn cứu chữa tận căn,
muốn cải tạo con người, muốn canh tân thế giới.</span></p>

cũng chớ tìm những giải pháp nhanh chóng mà hời hợt, nhưng hãy kiên
nhẫn: kiên nhẫn điều trị tận gốc căn bệnh của mình, kiên nhẫn cải tạo
từng mặt cuộc sống của mình, và kiên nhẫn góp phần canh tân thế giới.</span></p>

"Hay chúng tôi còn phải đợi một Ðấng nào khác?"</span></h4>

<span style="font-size: 14.0pt; color: black">Tuy Gioan là một ngôn sứ
và còn là vị Tiền hô, nhưng câu hỏi này của ông lại rất "phàm trần": Ông
nghĩ rằng Ðức Giêsu là Ðấng Messia Thẩm phán. Nhưng khi thấy Ngài chẳng
xét xử và trừng trị ai thì ông nghĩ tới "một Ðấng nào khác".</span></p>

trần" hơn Gioan nhiều: Dù đã biết Ðức Giêsu chính là Ðấng Messia, nhưng
chúng ta không đủ tin nơi Ngài, chúng ta hướng về nhiều "messia khác":
messia-tiền-bạc, messia-thế-lực, messia-lạc-thú...</span></p>

<span style="font-size: 14.0pt; color: black">Tuyên ngôn Dominus Jesus
khẳng định rằng Ðức Giêsu là Ðấng Cứu Ðộ duy nhất, ngoài Ngài ra chẳng
có đấng messia nào cả. Không hết lòng tin tưởng vào Ðức Giêsu là "vấp
ngã", chạy theo những đấng messia khác cũng là "vấp ngã". Vì thế Ðức
