Các bài đọc Chúa nhật hôm nay nhắc ta hãy lưu tâm đến việc tiếp nhận tha
nhân, nhất là đón nhận những người nghèo hèn, bé mọn, cô thế cô thân, bị
bỏ rơi... Đón tiếp tha nhân chính là đón nhận Chúa Kitô. Muốn đón tiếp
phải có lòng yêu thương, thành thật, hy sinh, từ bỏ, tế nhị, cởi mở.
Biết đón tiếp là bước khởi đầu của tình yêu. Chúa Giêsu hứa sẽ ban
thưởng bội hậu cho những ai có lòng quảng đại biết tiếp rước những người
nghèo hèn, làm phúc bố thí cho họ dù chỉ một bát nước lã.</span></p>

Qua bài đọc sách Các Vua, một bà già son sẻ sang trọng miền Sunêm rất
giầu lòng quảng đại đã mời tiên tri Elisê dùng bữa khi tiên tri đi ngang
qua. Do lòng quảng đại bác ái đó, bà đã khám phá ra đây là người của
Thiên Chúa. Bà lại càng trân trọng tiếp đãi nồng hậu hơn : dọn phòng
trên lầu, có giường, có ghế, có đèn… Qua nghĩa cử “cho khách đỗ nhờ”,
bà ta đã được đền đáp xứng đáng : sẽ có được con trai trong lúc hai ông
bà đã cao niên.</span></p>

đón tiếp cần phải với tấm lòng. Đón tiếp vào nhà, với tinh thần chỉ có
thể thực hiện nếu có sự đón tiếp với tấm lòng chúng ta, vì nói cho
cùng, đón tiếp là tự hiến dâng : đấy là biết từ bỏ sự thỏai mái riêng
tư, sự yên tĩnh của mình để lo cho người khác. Một sự hiến dâng như thế
chỉ có thể thực hiện theo lệnh của con tim chúng ta. Sự hiến dâng này
chỉ đầy đủ ý nghĩa nếu nó biểu hiện sự đón tiếp từ trong lòng, làm cho
tình thương nên trong sáng và bất vụ lợi. Chúa Giêsu đã nói <i>:”Kẻ nào
đón tiếp các ngươi là đón tiếp chính Ta”.</i></span></p>

Trên đường sứ mạng, ngày kia tiên tri Êlisê ghé thăm nhà một người đàn
bà ở Sunêm. Bà này tỏ ra rất qúi trọng nhà tiên tri vì bà coi ông là vị
thánh của Thiên Chúa. Được sự đồng ý của chồng, bà đã dọn cho tiên tri
một phòng ở trên lầu với đầy đủ những thứ cần thiết, để bất cứ lúc nào
tiên tri cũng có thể đến trú ngụ.</span></p>

Đáp lại tấm thịnh tình của bà, tiên tri đã cầu khẩn Thiên Chúa ban tặng
cho bà một đứa con vì bà hiếm muộn và chồng bà đã già. Lời cầu xin của

Bài đọc 2 chỉ là chủ đề phụ. Trong thư gửi cho tín hữu Rôma, thánh
Phaolô dạy cho các tín hữu biết rằng nhờ Phép Rửa chúng ta đã cùng được
mai táng với Đức Kitô, và sẽ được cùng với Ngài sống lại hiển vinh để
hiệp thông một cách nhiệm mầu vào chính sự sống của Thiên Chúa :”<i>Anh
em cũng vậy, hãy coi mình như đã chết đối với tội lỗi, nhưng nay lại

Đức Giêsu đưa ra một điều kiện rất khắt khe đối với những người muốn
bước theo Ngài. Theo Chúa thì phải yêu mến Ngài trên hết, trên cả cha mẹ
vợ con và trên cả thân mình. Như vậy Ngài có ý nói theo Ngài thì không
được để bị ràng buộc bởi gia đình.</span></p>

Ngoài ra, Chúa đòi chúng ta yêu mến Ngài hơn tất cả trong việc vác thập
giá theo Ngài và biết đón tiếp người khác nhất là những người bé mọn.
Điều này đòi hỏi người theo Chúa phải quên mình. Quên mình là từ bỏ
những gì liên quan đến con người và mọi liên hệ của bản thân từ sự sống
cho đến tình cảm.</span></p>

Mỗi sáng Chúa nhật chúng ta đều đọc kinh “<i>Thương người có mười bốn
mối :</i> 7 mối qui về thể xác và 7 mối qui về tinh thần , nghĩa là
thương con người toàn diện. Các bài đọc trong thánh lễ hôm nay nhắc nhở
chúng ta phải lưu tâm tiếp đón mọi người, không những phải tiếp đón các
sứ giả của Chúa một cách cẩn trọng mà còn đón tiếp tất cả những kẻ bé
mọn vì tất cả đều là môn đệ của Chúa.</span></p>

Nhà triết học hiện sinh Pháp, ông <b>Jean Paul Sartre</b>, có nói một
câu làm cho chúng ta ngạc nhiên :” L’enfer c’est les autres”: Tha nhân
là hỏa ngục đối với ông. Thật là một câu nói quái gở vì nó đi ngược hoàn
toàn với Tin mừng.</span></p>

Tha nhân là ai ? Họ ở đâu ? Làm thế nào tìm được họ ? Thưa, họ là mọi
người ở quanh chúng ta, chúng ta có thể tìm thấy dễ dàng, có thể động
chạm đến họ. Nếu chúng ta hỏi Chúa Giêsu : người khác hay tha nhân là
ai ? Chúa Giêsu sẽ trả lời ngay :”<b><i>Tha nhân chính là Ta” </i></b>
bởi vì Ngài đã khẳng định :”<i>Sự gì ngươi làm cho một người bé mọn nhất
vì danh Ta, là làm cho chính Ta vậy” (Mt 25,40).</i></span></p>

Trong bài Tin mừng hôm nay, Chúa Giêsu đòi buộc các môn đệ của Chúa phải
yêu mến Chúa trên hết, hơn cả cha mẹ anh em, ngay cả mạng sống của mình.
Đây là một đòi hỏi rất khắt khe và dứt khoát. Sau đó, Chúa Giêsu khuyên
chúng ta hãy tiếp đón các môn đệ của Chúa.</span></p>

Trước hết để xác định sự duy nhất giữa Đấng sai đi và người được sai đi
:”<i>Ai tiếp đón các con là tiếp đón Thầy, ai tiếp đón Thầy là tiếp đón
Đấng đã sai Thầy”. </i>Sau đó, để phân biệt chi tiết sự đón nhận theo ba
mức độ giảm dần một cách nghịch lý : các “<i>tiên tri</i>”, những “<i>người
công chính</i>”, những “<i>kẻ bé mọn</i>”, và long trọng xác nhận họ có
tư cách xứng đáng là sứ giả của Phúc âm.</span></p>

Các “<i>tiên tri</i>” hiển nhiên là những Kitô hữu. Họ đã thi hành một
tác vụ được chấp nhận trong Giáo hội sơ khai.</span></p>

Những “<i>người công chính</i>” có lẽ là những thành phần được kính
trọng trong cộng đoàn Kitô hữu.</span></p>

Còn những “<i>kẻ bé mọn</i>” là các môn đệ, họ chẳng làm gì hơn là “<b>tin</b>”
vào Đức Kitô. Họ cũng đáng được trân trọng và yêu mến đặc biệt (Fiches
dominicales, năm A, tr 215).</span></p>

Tất cả những điều nói trên chung qui lại cũng chỉ nói về “<i>môn đồ Chúa
Giêsu</i>”, nghĩa là <b><i>Kitô hữu thông thường</i></b>, kẻ được sai đi
và liên kết với sứ mạng của Thầy mình. Ngay cả người Kitô hữu khiêm hạ
nhất, tức là kẻ “bé mọn”, cũng có thể gán cho mình những điều đã nói
trên.</span></p>

phải lưu tâm đến hết mọi người và phục vụ họ ngay cả trong những chuyện
tầm thường nhất, như cho một ly nước lã. Vì bất cứ một sự lưu tâm nào
đối với kẻ “bé mọn” nhất cũng là một sự lưu tâm đối với Chúa. Khi mở
rộng lòng mình cho tha nhân như thế, ta sẽ “được sự sống” là điều duy
nhất có thể làm cho ta thỏa mãn.</span></p>

Trong Kinh thánh chúng ta thấy còn ghi lại một vài nét đẹp của sự tiếp
đón đáng cho chúng ta bắt chước. Những gương sáng này vẫn luôn giữ được

Ông là một con người hiếu khách và quảng đại. Khi thấy ba khách lạ đang
đi trong sa mạc nắng cháy, không những ông mời mà còn năn nỉ họ vào nhà
nghỉ và ân cần săn sóc họ một cách chu đáo. Ba người khách lạ đó là ai
? Đó là ba sứ giả của Thiên Chúa. </span></p>

thành thực, quảng đại và cởi mở, chú trọng đến con người hơn là của
cải. Tiếp đón không chỉ là đón người vào trọ trong nhà mình, cho họ ăn,
cho họ nghỉ. mà còn là biết quan tâm tới nhu cầu của người khác và đáp
ứng theo khả năng của mình.</span></p>

Chạnh lòng thương, Sadhu ở lại bên cạnh kẻ bất hạnh, xoa nóng tay chân
con người dở sống dở chết ấy. Với sức lực còn lại, Sadhu cố gắng cõng
anh ta trên lưng và khó nhọc đi qua vùng bão tuyết. Hơi ấm của hai thân
thể hoà quyện lấy nhau khiến người kia hồi sinh và cả hai cùng mạnh sức.</span></p>

khoảng một dặm, họ kinh ngạc khi nhìn thấy một xác chết lạnh cóng bên vệ
đường. Họ càng sững sờ hơn nữa khi nhận ra đó chính là anh bạn cùng đi
với Sadhu sáng nay (Thiên Phúc, Như Thầy đã yêu, tr 85).</span></p>

Trong bài Tin mừng hôm nay, Chúa Giêsu còn đưa ra một điều kiện nghịch
lý cho các môn đệ Người theo :”<i>Ai giữ mạng sống mình, thì sẽ mất, còn
ai liều mất mạng sống mình vì Thầy, thì sẽ tìm thấy được” (Mt 10,39).</i>
Cứ thực hành đi rồi sẽ thấy nó không nghịch lý nữa. </span></p>

Chúng ta thấy nghĩa cử yêu thương của Sadhu đã minh chứng hùng hồn cho
lời nói của Chúa Giêsu ở trên. Bạn của Sadhu đã cố giữ lấy mạng sống
mình nên đã mất mạng, còn Sadhu liều mạng “vì anh em” nên đã được sống.
Một người không có khả năng từ bỏ mình vì anh em thì họ cũng không có
khả năng yêu thương. “<i>Phải liều mất đi</i>” để “<i>tìm thấy lại</i>”.
Đó là nghịch lý mà Chúa Giêsu đã trải qua để nêu gương cho chúng ta.
Người đã sẵn lòng chịu chết ô nhục để rồi sống lại vinh quang cũng để
nói lên lời yêu thương con người.</span></p>

Mỗi ngày Chúa nhật đọc kinh “Thương người có 14 mối”, chúng ta
hãy xem lại con người chúng ta còn thiếu sót những mối nào trong kinh
ấy, hãy cố gắng thực hiện tất cả. Mỗi lần chúng ta làm cho tha nhân điều
gì thì đó là chúng ta đang làm cho Chúa dù cho người bé mọn chỉ một chén
nước lã thôi.</span></p>

“<i>Một chén nước lã”</i> đối với Chúa là “<i>một chén ân
tình</i>”. Điều đó cho thấy, Thiên Chúa không hề bỏ sót một nghĩa cử yêu
thương nào, cho dù chỉ là nghĩa cử bé nhỏ âm thầm, một khi đã được khoác
vào tấm áo tình yêu thì nó trở nên vô cùng cao cả. Tình yêu chính là
trọng tâm của đời sống Kitô hữu.</span></p>
