Bước vào Chúa nhật IV Mùa Chay (Lætare), Phụng Vụ của Giáo hội đang từ
màu tím chuyển sang màu hồng, màu của bình minh, đánh dấu nửa chặng
đường sám hối, nay Giáo hội tạm dừng để chuẩn bị tốt hơn niềm vui Phục
Sinh, nghỉ để nhìn lại những gì ta đã làm trong ba tuần đầu của Mùa
Chay, lấy thêm can đảm bước tiếp những chặng đường tới.</span></p>

lên nào……</i>“. Những lời trên diễn tả niềm vui ngập tràn và thiêng
thánh. Giáo hội chúc mừng con cái mình đã hăng hái đi được nửa hành
trình của Mùa Chay Thánh. Làm sao không thể không vui không mừng được.
Mừng vui lên, hỡi những người trước kia ở trong sầu khổ, ”<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i style="outline: 0px;background-position: initial;background-repeat:initial initial">Cùng
Giê-ru-sa-lem khấp khởi mừng… được Thành Ðô cho hưởng trọn nguồn an ủi,
được thoả thích nếm mùi sung mãn vinh quang…đón nhận dồi dào ơn an ủi</i><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>…”

Vậy đâu là lý do sâu xa để vui mừng ?</span></b></p>

Lý do ấy là : ”<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i style="outline: 0px;background-position: initial;background-repeat:initial initial">Nhờ
mầu nhiệm nhập thể, Người dẫn đưa nhân loại đang lần bước trong u tối
đến nguồn ánh sáng đức tin.<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>Nhờ
phép rửa mang lại đời sống mới, Người giải thoát những kẻ sinh ra đã mắc
tội truyền, và nâng lên hàng nghĩa tử của Chúa</i>… ” (Kinh Tiền Tụng
Chúa nhật IV Mùa Chay năm A). Đoạn Tin Mừng thánh Gioan ghi lại hôm nay
cho chúng ta câu trả lời cụ thể khi Chúa Giêsu chữa lành một người mù từ
khi mới sinh. Câu Chúa Giêsu hỏi người mù là đỉnh cao của trình thuật:
“Ngươi có tin nơi Con Thiên Chúa không?” (Ga 9,35) Như một “người” giữa
bao nhiêu người khác, anh người mù này mới đầu gặp Chúa Giêsu, khác mọi
người là anh coi Chúa Giêsu là “một ngôn sứ”, sau cùng đôi mắt anh mở
ra, từ ánh sáng của đôi mắt đến ánh sáng của đức tin, anh tuyên xưng
Chúa Giêsu là “Chúa” và trả lời câu hỏi Ngài đặt ra cho anh : “Lạy Thầy,
tôi tin!” (Ga 9,38). Như thế là đã rõ, Chúa Giêsu chữa người mù khỏi mù,
anh thấy ánh sáng và anh tin vào Chúa Giêsu. Cũng như cả và nhân loại
sau khi nguyên tổ phạm tội phải bước đi trong u tối, nay Chúa Giêsu đến,
tự giới thiệu mình là Ánh Sáng thế gian dẫn đưa nhân loại khỏi bóng tối
của tội lỗi, phục hồi phẩm giá địa vị làm con Thiên Chúa.</span></p>

Chúa Giêsu là sự sáng thế gian</span></b></p>

Ngài từ trời xuống thế, để cho phàm nhân được thấy Ngài và qua Ngài họ
thấy Chúa Cha; chỉ có người mù mới không thể nhìn thấy Chúa. Ngài đã mở
mắt người mù, để người mù thấy được Chúa Cha ở nơi Ngài. Ngài giới
thiệu : ”<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i style="outline: 0px;background-position:
initial;background-repeat:initial initial">Ta là sự sáng thế gian</i>”
(Ga 9, 5) ; ”<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i style="outline: 0px;background-position: initial;background-repeat:initial initial">Là
ánh sáng thật, ánh sáng đến thế gian và chiếu soi mọi người.</i>” (Ga
1,9) Ngài chữa lành sự mù quáng của con mắt đức tin nơi những người
không thấy để mà tin.</span></p>

Ađam được Thiên Chúa sáng tạo với con mắt tinh tường, nhưng sau khi giao
tiếp với con rắn xong, ông trở nên mù quáng (x. St 3, 1-7). Anh mù bẩm
sinh vẫn ngồi… mà không xin bất kỳ một loại thuốc mỡ nào để chữa mắt
mình … anh chỉ hết mù khi anh tin (x. Ga 9,1-41). Chúa Giêsu, Vị thầy
thuốc cao tay đã nhìn thấy những đau khổ của người mù ngồi đó và xin làm
phúc, bằng quyền năng Thiên Chúa, Ngài đã làm phép lạ cho người mù được
thấy.</span></p>

Ađam được Thiên Chúa dựng tạo dựng bằng đất sét, bùn ướt : ” Ðức Chúa là
Thiên Chúa lấy bụi từ đất nặn ra con người” ( St 2, 7), nay chất liệu ấy
được Chúa Giêsu dùng để chữa lành đôi mắt. Ngài đã phục hồi thị giác cho
người mù từ khi mới sinh bằng nước bọt nhổ ra trộn vào đất, anh người mù
nói : ”<i style="outline: 0px;background-position: initial;background-repeat:initial initial">Ngài
đã xoa bùn vào mắt tôi, tôi đi rửa và tôi được sáng mắt</i><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>”
(Ga 9,1-11). Ngài là quả là Ánh Sáng chiếu sáng thế gian và cho con
người được nhìn thấy ánh sáng.</span></p>

Chúng ta là con cái ánh sáng</span></b></p>

Từ ánh sáng đến đức tin hay từ đức tin đến ánh sáng tỏa sáng trên khuôn
mặt của người mù giúp chúng ta hiểu rằng, ngày chúng ta chịu phép rửa
tội, ánh sáng của Chúa Kitô cũng chiếu tỏa trên chúng ta, chữa chúng ta
khỏi sự mù quáng tội lỗi, làm cho chúng ta trở thành con cái ánh sáng.
Đó là điều Thánh Phaolô nhắc nhở chúng ta : ”<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i style="outline: 0px;background-position: initial;background-repeat:initial initial">Bây
giờ anh em là ánh sáng trong Chúa</i>” (Eph 5, 8). Thế nên, nhờ phép rửa
trong Chúa Kitô, trước kia chúng ta là những người ở trong bóng tối, nay
trở thành ánh sáng. Kể từ ngày hôm đó chúng ta là con người mới hoàn
toàn.</span></p>

Nhờ phép rửa tội, người kitô hữu trở thành ”<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i style="outline: 0px;background-position: initial;background-repeat:initial initial">con
của sự sáng</i><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>” (Eph 5, 8)
hay nói cách khác, trở thành ”<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i style="outline: 0px;background-position: initial;background-repeat:initial initial">con
cái Thiên Chúa</i><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>” (1 Ga
3,1). Người con đích thực của Thiên Chúa là Chúa Kitô đã chiếu tỏa rạng
ngời ánh sáng Chúa Cha, để bất cứ ai được tái sinh trong Ngài, có thể
thông truyền ánh sáng đức tin ấy cho người khác, tức là sinh ”<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i style="outline: 0px;background-position: initial;background-repeat:initial initial">hoa
trái của sự sáng</i><span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>” (Eph
5, 9). Vì vậy, trong Mùa Chay này, chúng ta hãy để ánh sáng ấy chiếu tỏa
trên chúng ta để qua chúng ta mọi người có thể tìm thấy Thiên Chúa là
Ánh Sáng đích thực.</span></p>

Chúa Giêsu là<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><i style="outline: 0px;

thế gian</i>‘ (Ga 8,12). Trong nghi thức Rửa tội, việc trao nến sáng và
thắp sáng từ cây nến Phục Sinh tượng trưng Chúa Kitô Phục sinh, là dấu
hiệu giúp chúng ta hiểu rõ những gì xảy ra trong Bí tích này. Khi chúng
ta để cho mình được mầu nhiệm Chúa Kitô soi sáng, chúng ta sẽ cảm nghiệm
niềm vui được giải thoát khỏi tất cả những gì đe dọa sự viên mãn của
cuộc sống ấy.</span></p>

Lễ Phục Sinh đã gần kề, chúng ta hãy vui lên và khơi dậy nơi mình hồng
ân đã lãnh nhận trong Bí tích Rửa tội, ngọn lửa ấy nhiều khi có nguy cơ
bị dập tắt. Chúng ta hãy nuôi dưỡng ngọn lửa đó bằng kinh nguyện và lòng
bác ái đối với tha nhân.</span></p>
