<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Chúa Giêsu nhắc lại đường lối chung
của đời sống rồi Ngài loại bỏ bằng câu hỏi: “Thì còn ân nghĩa gì?’’ Thường
thì người ta khoe mình cũng tốt như những người chung quang. Rất có thể họ
đúng như vậy. Nhưng Chúa Giêsu hỏi: “Ngươi tốt hơn người thường được bao
nhiêu?” Tiêu chuẩn để chúng ta so sánh không phải là với người lân cận, có
thể chúng ta bằng họ. Nhưng chúng ta phải so sánh mình với tiêu chuẩn của
Thiên Chúa, và như vậy chúng ta còn xa lắm với tiêu chuẩn của Ngài.</span></p>

Thiên Chúa, vì đó là ý muốn của Thiên Chúa trong các hoạt động của Ngài.
Chúa khiến mưa xuống trên kẻ lành và kẻ dữ. Chúa nhân từ đối với kẻ làm vui
lòng Ngài mà cũng nhân từ đối với những kẻ làm buồn lòng Ngài. Tình yêu
Thiên Chúa bao bọc thánh nhân cũng như tội nhân. Chúng ta phải noi gương mẫu
tình yêu đó. Nếu chúng ta cũng tìm lợi ích cho kẻ thù nghịch, thì chúng ta
mới thực sự là con cái Thiên Chúa.</span></p>

cảm động và người đã chứng tỏ lòng thương yêu của kẻ thù – là anh ta – như
sau: “Tôi đã bị bắt, cảnh sát đã tìm thấy tôi. Tôi đã giết bà Hammelmann, và
tôi cũng bắt luôn bốn người con của bà. Tôi nhìn thấy họ chết trong vũng
máu. Sau khi cảnh sát bắt được tôi, tôi bị đưa ra tòa. Quan tòa tuyên án:
“Anh đã làm một việc vô cùng tàn bạo, anh phải ngồi tù hai mươi năm.”</span></p>

được một lá thư. Đây là một lá thư hết sức lạ lùng của ông Hammelmann. Ông
đã viết lá thư này cho tôi vì ông đã nhận được tin chánh quyền Polish sẽ
không cho phép tôi trở về quê hương của tôi là Ba – Lan. Ngay cả cánh quyền
Đức cũng để nói rằng: “Chúng tôi không muốn anh sống tại nước Đức.” Bức thư
của ông Hammelmann viết: “Tôi tha thứ cho anh về việc anh giết vợ và bốn con
tôi. Tôi cũng đang vận động với chánh quyền Đức để họ cho phép anh có thể ở
trong nhà tôi và tôi sẽ giúp anh sống một đời sống lương thiện.”</span></p>

tôi giúp đợ anh? Tại sao tôi lại có thể tha thứ cho anh về tội anh tàn sát
gia đình tôi? Tôi có thể làm điều này vì Thiên Chúa đã làm một điều lạ cho
tôi. Ngài đã ban cho tôi Thánh Thần của Ngài. Thánh Thần của Thiên Chúa bây
giờ dẫn dắt đời sống tôi và Ngài ban sức cho tôi có thể tha thứ cho anh.”</span></p>

khỏi lòng một ngày và ban cho ông ta một tấm lòng muốn giúp đỡ tôi mặc dầu
tôi đã giết vợ con ông ta.”</span></p>
