chúng ta tới đỉnh cao của bác ái, càng đi theo Người càng dốc hết hơi, leo
lên cao mãi, cao mãi liên tục.</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">“Hãy yêu thương kẻ thù”, Chúa dạy
thế, không lý thuyết xuông nhưng rất cụ thể. Người cho thấy những công việc
rõ ràng trước mắt, không để chúng ta phải tưởng tượng. “Hãy làm ơn cho kẻ
ghét anh em, chúc lành cho kẻ nguyền rủa anh em, cầu nguyện cho kẻ vu khống
anh em...”. Tất cả những kẻ đó không phải là ảo ảnh ma quái, nhưng là con
người bằng xương bằng thịt mà lý tự nhiên mình phải xa lánh, ghét bỏ. Chính
những kẻ đó phải được nâng đỡ, phải sẵn lòng mỉm cười với họ.</span></p>

này, thì hãy giơ má bên kia. Ai đoạt áo ngoài đừng cản nó lấy áo trong. Ai
xin hãy cho, ai lấy gì của anh thì đừng đòi lại...”.</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Có lẽ chúng ta sẽ thẳng thắn trả
lời: “Lạy Chúa, Chúa đã đi quá mạnh, không thể tới được”. Nhưng, Đức Kitô
vẫn tiếp tục không khoan nhượng: “Nếu anh em yêu thương kẻ yêu thương mình
thì còn gì là ân nghĩa? ngay cả những kẻ tội lỗi cũng yêu thương kẻ yêu
thương họ. Nếu anh em làm ơn cho kẻ làm ơn cho mình thì còn gì là ân nghĩa?
ngay cả những người tội lỗi cũng làm như thế. Nếu anh em cho vay mà hy vọng
đòi lại được, thì còn gì là ân nghĩa? cả kẻ tội lỗi cũng cho kẻ tội lỗi vay
để được trả lại sòng phẳng.</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Không thể tới được bác ái Kitô giáo,
chúng ta cần tiếp tục suy nghĩ. Làm sao sống vượt mức như thế! sống yêu
thương tột độ! nhiều môn đệ của Chúa đã sống vượt mức như thế và còn sống
vượt mọi mức tới tột độ nữa. Họ đã theo Đức Kitô Đấng giầu lòng thương xót
và tha thứ. Đức Kitô sẽ hài lòng và âu yếm nhìn Phê-rô và tất cả mọi người
đã nên giống Người.</span></p>
