nhiều, cũng giống như chàng Narcisse đáng buồn ấy, bởi vì ai cũng yêu mình
thái quá, ai cũng thích khoe rằng mình tài, mình giỏi, mình đẹp, mình hay…
Ai cũng muốn mình là nhân vật số một, mình là “number one”, mình là trung
tâm của thế gian, mình là cái rốn của vũ trụ. Ai cũng thường nghĩ rằng kẻ
khác sinh ra là để phục vụ cho mình và rồi cuối cùng mình sống trong cô độc
và chết trong quạnh hưu, còn bản thân cũng chẳng hóa kiếp thành cánh hoa
thủy tiên mọc bên giòng suối hư vô.</span></p>

tra vấn về những hành động bác ái, và công hay tội của chúng ta được ấn định
dựa trên một tiêu chuẩn duy nhất đó là tình yêu, như chúng ta đã thấy trong
hoạt cảnh của ngày phán xét:</span></p>

đạo Việt Nam đã đổ máu đào để làm chứng cho Chúa, thánh Maximilianô Kolbê đã
tình nguyện chết thay cho một bạn tù, Cha Đamiêng đã tình nguyện sống giữa
những người phong cùi ở hải đảo Molokai để giúp đỡ họ, Mẹ Têrêxa thành
Calcutta đã tận tình chăm sóc những người bất hạnh và nghèo khổ.</span></p>

thực thi giới luật yêu thương Chúa truyền dạy hay chưa? Nếu có, thì tình
thương của chúng ta đã vượt khỏi những người thân quen, để tìm đến với những
kẻ bất hạnh và khổ đau, nhất là đến với kẻ kẻ thù oán, ghét bỏ chúng ta hay
chưa?</span></p>

tiền bạc và công sức để giúp đỡ những kẻ chẳng may gặp phải tai ương hoạn
nan, như người Samaria nhân từ đã làm cho kẻ gị cướp đánh dọc đường hay
không?</span></p>

của chúng ta lệ thuộc vào những hành động bác ái yêu thương chúng ta đã làm
hay đã không làm để giúp đỡ nhung người chung quanh hay không?</span></p>

đều có lòng bác ái yêu thương, nhưng chắc chắn rằng những người có lòng bác
ái yêu thương đều là môn đệ của Chúa và như vậy họ đều là Kitô hữu, như lời
Ngài đã xác quyết:</span></p>
