<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Các mối phúc đã phác họa dung mạo
người môn đệ Chúa Giêsu, biết chấp nhận những thua thiệt trong cuộc đời và
bị bách hại về thể xác cũng như tinh thần vì họ muốn sống theo giáo lý của
Người. Phản ứng tự nhiên của người bị bách hại là không thể đội trời chung
với kẻ thù là người bách hại mình, chứ nói chi tới việc yêu thương kẻ thù.
Có lẽ vì thế mà Tin Mừng Lu-ca đặt vấn đề yêu thương kẻ thù ngay sau các mối
phúc, coi như một điều kiện căn bản để có thể sống những mối phúc nói trên.
Vậy bài Tin Mừng hôm nay tiếp tục quảng diễn những mối phúc bằng những
trường hợp cụ thể rút từ lối sống của người đời và đòi hỏi người môn đệ phải
sống ngược lại lối sống ấy thì mới nói lên được căn tính của người đi theo
Chúa.</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Đã chọn đi ngược với lối sống của
thế gian, môn đệ Chúa không thể đồng hành với người đời ở bất cứ nơi nào và
dĩ nhiên đã trở thành thù địch với nhau rồi. Môn đệ Chúa sống theo quy luật
của các mối phúc, còn người đời sống theo quy luật của các mối họa. Người
môn đệ Đức Ki-tô lấy Thiên Chúa làm điểm tựa, vì chính Người mới là nơi cư
ngụ vĩnh viễn (Nước Thiên Chúa), sự no đủ đích thực, hạnh phúc trường sinh
và phần thưởng lớn lao. Ngược lại, người đời lấy chính họ làm cứu cánh và
lấy thế gian cùng những gì thuộc về nó làm phương tiện, đó là sự giàu có
sang trọng, no nê phè phưỡn, vui chơi trác táng và tiếng tăm địa vị.</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Từ sự khác biệt ấy, môn đệ Chúa trở
thành cái gai trước mắt người đời và luôn luôn phải đối phó với việc bị tẩy
chay và bách hại. Trước tình trạng phũ phàng ấy, Chúa Giêsu đưa ra một bài
học độc đáo và thực tế. Ở đây ta nhận thấy hoàn cảnh khác với hoàn cảnh
trong Tin Mừng Mát-thêu. Là Tin Mừng viết cho người Do-thái, Mát-thêu đưa ra
những so sánh như: “Anh em đã nghe Luật dạy người xưa... Còn Thầy, Thầy bảo
cho anh em biết”. Còn Lu-ca là Tin Mừng viết cho anh em Dân ngoại nên không
trưng dẫn Lề Luật, mà chỉ đề cao Chúa Giêsu là Luật tối cao: “Thầy nói với
anh em là những người đang nghe Thầy đây”. Vậy Chúa Giêsu đã nói gì về những
điều môn đệ Người phải làm khi gặp trường hợp bị kẻ thù bách hại?</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Trước hết, hãy yêu thương kẻ thù, đó
là nguyên tắc căn bản thứ nhất. Để sống tình yêu thương này, người môn đệ
phải lấy đức mà đáp lại oán, lấy việc lành mà trả cho việc dữ. Nguyên tắc
thứ hai là mức độ yêu thương và làm ơn ít ra phải tích cực và hơn mức bình
thường, vì yêu thương bao giờ cũng vượt trên mức công bằng. Yêu thương đòi
ta phải đi bước trước và chủ động. Với yêu thương, người môn đệ làm chủ được
mình. Thay vì theo thói đời là nguyền rủa lại kẻ nguyền rủa mình, người môn
đệ biết tự chế, bắt mình phải theo lệnh truyền của lòng yêu thương mà nói
điều tốt cho kẻ thù. Họ thắng được lòng tham tự nhiên lúc nào cũng muốn giữ
cho mình, mà sẵn sàng quảng đại cho đi.</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Tuy nhiên, nghe nói vậy nhưng thực
hành lại là vấn đề khó khăn vô cùng. Tại sao ta lại phải làm một điều “trái
tự nhiên” như vậy? Chúa Giêsu có đòi hỏi quá đáng không? Dựa vào đâu mà ta
có thể biện minh cho việc yêu thương kẻ thù? Chúa Giêsu cho ta câu trả lời.</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Cha nào con nấy. Đó là lý do. Ta
phải yêu thương kẻ thù, vì chính Thiên Chúa, Cha chúng ta, yêu thương kẻ thù
của Người. Nhưng kẻ thù của Thiên Chúa là ai? Là những kẻ dữ, những kẻ tội
lỗi. Nói như thế thì mọi người đều là kẻ thù của Thiên Chúa, vì tất cả chúng
ta đều là những người tội lỗi, chứ có ai là vô tội trước mặt Người đâu. Thế
mà Người vẫn thương ta, vẫn sai Con Một Người đến để kêu gọi những người tội
lỗi và Con Một Người còn chấp nhận chết khổ nhục để xóa bỏ tội lỗi ta.</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Nếu Thiên Chúa, Cha chúng ta, đã và
vẫn đang yêu thương ta là “kẻ thù” của Người, thì ta phận làm con cái Người
lại có thể làm ngược lại với đường lối của Người hay sao? Chúa Giêsu đề cập
tới vấn đề ân nghĩa ở đây. Việc Thiên Chúa yêu thương ta mặc dù ta thân phận
tội lỗi, đó là một ân nghĩa. Ân nghĩa thuộc bình diện yêu thương, chứ không
phải công bằng. Cho nên đối với kẻ thù, ta không chỉ đối xử công bằng, nhưng
phải tích cực hơn để đi vào lãnh vực yêu thương. Trong công bằng có sự tính
toán và sòng phẳng. Còn yêu thương thì chỉ nghĩ đến cho đi, vì yêu thương là
ân huệ. Thiên Chúa đã yêu thương ta nên cho ta mọi thứ ân huệ và cuối cùng
cho ta Ân Sủng đầy tràn tức là Con Một Người.</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Mỗi tác giả Tin Mừng có một cách để
định nghĩa thế nào là nên thánh. Mát-thêu thì nêu lên định luật: “Anh em hãy
nên hoàn thiện, như Cha anh em trên trời là Đấng hoàn thiện” (Mt 5:48). Còn
Lu-ca thì thực tế hơn: “Anh em hãy có lòng nhân từ, như Cha anh em là Đấng
nhân từ” (Lc 6:36).</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Mặc dù ta là “kẻ thù” của Thiên
Chúa, nhưng Người vẫn đối xử nhân từ với ta. Đối xử nhân từ là đối xử không
theo lẽ công bằng, nhưng theo lẽ tình yêu. Mà tình yêu thì có những lý lẽ
riêng của nó, nhiều khi không hiểu được. Cụ thể là tình yêu Thiên Chúa. Con
tim của Thiên Chúa có những lý lẽ ở ngoài lối suy nghĩ của con người. Nhân
từ của Thiên Chúa là phong cách đặc biệt để biểu lộ tình yêu của Người.
Người yêu thương kẻ thù của Người bằng cách tỏ ra nhân hậu đối với chúng.
Chẳng những Người không xét đoán, không lên án, mà còn tha thứ nữa. Thật
không thể hiểu được Thiên Chúa yêu thương cách đó! Đấy là đấu Thiên Chúa
đong cho ta và Người cũng muốn ta đong như vậy cho người khác.</span></p>
