sự tin tưởng vào Thiên Chúa. Thực vậy, những kẻ tin tưởng vào thế gian giống
như cây gai cằn cỗi trong sa mạc, đang khi đó những người tin tưởng vào
Thiên Chúa giống như cây sai trái trồng bên dòng sông nhiều nước. Tin tưởng
vào Thiên Chúa là cậy trông nơi Ngài, vì Ngài là suối nguồn sự sống. Những
người tin tưởng vào Thiên Chúa là những người nghèo được Thiên Chúa chúc
phúc.</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Khi Chúa Giêsu nói: Phúc cho những
kẻ nghèo khó, Ngài đã không chúc phúc cho sự đói khát và khốn cùng. Đói khát
và khốn cùng là điều xấu. Điều được chúc phúc chính là lòng cậy trông, tin
tưởng vào Chúa. Những kẻ đặt sự tin tưởng của họ vào thế gian sẽ thất vọng,
còn những người đặt tin tưởng vào Thiên Chúa sẽ không bao giờ bị thất vọng.
Bởi vì chỉ mình Thiên Chúa mới có thể lấp đầy sự trống rỗng của cõi lòng
chúng ta. Chỉ mình Thiên Chúa mới có thể thoả mãn những khát vọng của tâm
hồn chúng ta. Nhưng thường chúng ta chạy đến Thiên Chúa sau cùng, thay vì
chạy đến Thiên Chúa trước tiên.</span></p>

nghèo khó đối với thế gian này sẽ được Thiên Chúa làm cho giàu có trong đức
tin. Những người giàu thường có xu hướng cậy dựa vào của cải vật chất. Đối
với họ, chính thế gian này mới quan trọng. Thiên Chúa không ít thì nhiều
cũng thừa thãi và đời sau thì xa vời và mơ hồ. Trái lại, những người nghèo
thường có xu hướng tự nhiên quay về Thiên Chúa. Đối với họ, mọi nguy cơ và
khó khăn của đời sống làm cho Thiên Chúa và đời sau gần gũi và hiện thực
hơn.</span></p>

điều tốt. Nhưng khi đời sống trở nên khó khăn và luôn bị đe doạ, nó sẽ trở
nên phong phú hơn bởi lẽ khi chúng ta càng ít mong đợi thì những điều tốt
lành của đời sống càng trở nên những ân huệ bất ngờ mà chúng ta đón nhận ví
lòng biết ơn. Đó là lý do tại sao Chúa Giêsu lại nói: Phúc cho những kẻ
nghèo khó, vì Nước Trời là của họ.</span></p>

theo một con đường, tình cờ ông gặp một người ăn mày đến xin ông bố thí. Xấu
hổ vì không có gì để bố thí, người nghèo đáp: Tiếc thật, nhưng tôi cũng
nghèo như anh thôi. Khi nghe nói điều đó, người ăn mày nói: Cám ơn bạn, vì
món quà của bạn. Không hiểu người ăn mày muốn nói gì, người nghèo hỏi lại:
Tại sao anh lại cám ơn tôi? Tôi có cho anh cái gì đâu. Người ăn mày đáp: Ồ
có chứ, bạn đã cho tôi sự lương thiện của bạn, sự nghèo khó của bạn và lòng
tin tưởng của bạn.</span></p>
