Giêsu: "Kìa là Con chiên Thiên Chúa, Đấng xóa tội trần gian", Anrê và một
môn đệ khác liền bỏ Gioan, chạy đến với Chúa Giêsu và thưa: "Thưa Thầy, Thầy
ở đâu? Chúa trả lời: hãy đến mà xem, và họ đã đến ở với Ngài suốt ngày hôm
đó." Ngày hôm đó họ đã hỏi Ngài những gì, và Chúa đã nói những gì với họ?
Phúc Âmkhông hề nói gì cả. Nhưng phúc Âm lại nói đến hậu quả của cuộc gặp gỡ
trong ngày hôm đó: Sau cuộc gặp gỡ ấy, Anrê gặp em là Phêrô liền nói: "Chúng
tôi đã gặp Đấng Messia".</span></p>

các ông đến một thái độ dứt khoát:kể từ đó các ông đã bỏ mọi sự mà theo
Thầy, sống nghèo khó như Thầy. Thế là chúng ta đã tìm ra được lý do thỏa
đáng cho Tám mối Phúc: Muốn sống cách triệt để những đòi hỏi của Phúc Âm,
muốn cho Tám mối Phúc trở thành sự thật trong cuộc sống thì phải gặp Chúa và
ở với Chúa như các Tông Đồ.</span></p>

33 năm linh mục đã cho tôi có dịp tiếp xúc với nhiều kitô hữu sống đời hôn
nhân, nhưng sống tinh thần Tám mối Phúc một cách rất quảng đại. Vì Phúc Âm
không dành riêng cho ai cả, nhưng là dành cho tất cả mọi Kitô hữu. Tinh thần
nghèo khó, lòng không dính bén của cải trần gian: "Ở giữa thế gian nhưng
không thuộc về thế gian", ngươi kitô hữu giữa đời vẫn phải sống và sống được
tinh thần nghèo khó, không dính bén đó, với điều kiện là người kitô hữu gặp
được Chúa và nghe Chúa nói trong Phúc Âm cũng như siêng năng ở với Chúa
trong Bí Tích Thánh Thể.</span></p>

ăn, trở nên giàu có . Tuy giàu có, nhưng vẫn cố gắng đem Phúc Am vào đời
sống; cố gắng sống những đòi hỏi của Phúc Âm, lòng không dính bén hay đam mê
của cải trần gian thì họ đâu có bị chúc dữ. Trái lại có những người nghèo
đói thực sự, nhưng lòng mải mê của cải vật chất mà không nhớ gì đến bổn phận
làm con Chúa, sống bất lương; tuy là nghèo thật đấy, nhưng làm sao mà có thể
được chúc phúc?</span></p>

nhà thờ cũng giống như đám đông người Do thái ngày xưa chạy theo nghe Chúa
giảng, nghe xong rồi ra về, nhưng mấy ai nghe và đi theo Chúa; mấy ai nghe
và cố gắng sống những lời của Chúa? Người đạo đức thật là người nghe Lời
Chúa và đưa lời Chúa vào cuộc sống.</span></p>

một bệnh nhân rất nghèo đang sống với đứa con của bà ta ở cuối đường nhà
thờ. Ông hãy đến thăm bà ta với một ít tiền và một ít thức ăn và nói với bà
ta: " Đây là những gì tôi mang đến cho bà nhân danh Đức Kitô Chuá chúng ta
". Và ông nói vài lời an ủi bà trong cơn đau đớn bệnh hoạn, thì ông sẽ thấy
nước Trời. Nếu ông không thấy thì tôi sẽ hoàn trả lại số tiền chi phí lại
cho ông. Người kia làm những gì vị linh mục nói. Sáng hôm sau, ông đến gặp
cha sở, nét mặt vui tươi, và nói: "Thưa cha, đúng thế thật! Con đã thấy Nước
