bản văn nổi tiếng này vì nó là phần mở đầu của Bài giảng trên cánh đồng. Một
sự kiện đáng chú ý: Luca đặt hai nhóm người và hai mẫu tình huống tương phản
một cách có hệ thống “các mối phúc” và “các mối hoạ”. Tôi dùng từ “hoạ” bởi
vì ở đây không phải là lời nguyền rủa mà là những lời thở than ái ngại; Chúa
Giêsu than tiếc cho những kẻ lao mình vào thảm hoạ: “Khốn cho các người?”.
Ngài đối lập họ với những người được Chúa ưu đãi, những mối hoạ là những mối
phúc bị đảo ngược:</span></p>

thành một cách đối xứng và những kẻ nghèo khổ, đói khát và khóc than ám chỉ
cùng những con người như nhau; những kẻ giàu có, no nê và vui cười cũng vậy.
Sáu từ thực tiễn chỉ hai loại người trong xã hội. Cặp thứ tư cũng là cặp
cuối cùng có một cấu trúc hoàn toàn khác; nó được khai triển thành ba phần.
Trước hết là thử thách phải chịu trong tương lai, một cách như ở các mối
phúc trước đó: bị oán ghét, khai trừ khỏi hội đường và sỉ vả (c.22). Rồi lời
mời gọi hãy hân hoan vui mừng. Điều này không phải là trong tương lai nhưng
bắt đầu đồng thời với sự bách hại; được đảm bảo phần thưởng cuối cùng –ơn
cứu độ và sự sống- gây ra niềm vui cánh chung, cuối cùng ngay giữa lúc bị
thử thách (c. 23a-b). Sau hết, các người bị bách hại được đồng hoá với các
ngôn sứ thời Cựu Ước. Sự kiện đáng lưu ý: nếu người giàu đối lập với người
nghèo, thì không phải những người bách hại đối lại với những người bị bách
hại, mà là những kẻ được ca tụng; họ được đồng hoá với các ngôn sứ giả.</span></p>

đảo ngược cánh chung, cuối cùng, của các trạng huống hiện thời; thực ra thời
kỳ sau hết đã bắt đầu rồi. Trong câu 21, bây giờ và tương lai đối kháng nhau
rõ ràng. Ngược lại trong mối phúc thứ nhất điều kiện của việc đảo ngược đã
được thực hiện: “Nước Thiên Chúa là của anh em!”. Cũng giống như vậy ở mối
phúc cuối cùng. Một sự đảo ngược như vậy giữa các tình huống là một đề tài
được Luca ưa thích; chúng ta đã gặp cấu trúc này trong kinh Magnificat
(1,51-53) và chúng ta sẽ còn gặp trong một bản văn khác cũng riêng của Luca:
dụ ngôn người nghèo Ladarô (16,19-31).</span></p>

Nagiaret, từ ngữ những kẻ nghèo phải được ưu tiên hiểu theo nghĩa kinh tế và
xã hội; nó chỉ những người không được bảo vệ và không quyền lợi, bị khinh dể
và là những kẻ chỉ trông chờ được cứu độ nơi một mình Thiên Chúa. Chính Ngài
tự lãnh bổn phận bênh vực quyền lợi của họ và vì vậy, Ngài phải đến nắm
quyền bình (“xin cho triều đại Cha mau đến!” 11,2). Thái độ giải phóng của
Chúa Giêsu đã là dấu chỉ hữu hiệu rằng Thiên Chúa ra tay hành động; nơi Chúa
Giêsu và nơi công trình của Thiên Chúa, “triều đại” của Người. Vì vậy dường
như Luca không thoải mái hơn chúng ta trước những mối phúc của Chúa! Nếu vấn
đề của cải được nêu rõ trong Luca và Công vụ, chính vì giữa lòng Giáo Hội
vào thời Luca có những người túng thiếu và những người giàu có. Như vậy đâu
là tính thời sự của Tin Mừng? Luca hiểu thế nào điều mà Chúa Giêsu đã nói về
người nghèo?</span></p>

và hoạ khỏi tác phẩm của Luca, người ta sẽ sai lầm lớn trong công việc diễn
giải. Trong trường hợp đó, sự đối kháng rõ rệt và được lặp đi lặp lại giữa
bây giờ và thời tương lai sẽ đề xuất việc đảo lộn các giá trị về sau này;
người nghèo sẽ được khuyến khích tự an ủi về sự khốn khó hiện tại khi nghĩ
đến một tương lai huy hoàng… Và trong lúc đó, người giàu có thể tiếp tục chè
chén say sưa mà không sợ người nghèo Ladarô tìm cách lật đổ cái hiện tại (x.
16,17-31). Như vậy, Luca sẽ chuốc lấy lời chỉ trích của Karl Marx liên quan
đến tôn giáo, thuốc phiện ru ngủ nhân dân!</span></p>

<span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">Các mối phúc ấy đòi hỏi phải được
đọc dưới ánh sáng của phần còn lại của Luca và Công vụ. Nếu Luca có thể nhắc
lại các mối phúc chính vì ông tô vẽ Giáo Hội lý tưởng như cộng đoàn nơi mà
“không một tín hữu nào coi bất cứ cái gì mình có là của riêng, nhưng đối với
họ mọi sự là của chung… Trong cộng đoàn, không ai phải thiếu thốn, bởi vì
người ta phân phát một phần tiền bạc để làm của chung cho mỗi anh em tuỳ
theo nhu cầu” (Cv 4,32-35). Những bản văn sẽ cho chúng ta thấy việc chia sẻ
với người nghèo –tuy khiêm tốn hơn- phải được thực hành ngay ngày hôm nay,
trong cộng đoàn Giáo Hội. Nếu không cộng đoàn sẽ không có khả năng để loan
