Dẫu là Con Thiên Chúa, Người đã phải trải qua nhiều đau khổ mới học được thế
nào là vâng phục ; và khi chính bản thân đã tới mức thập toàn, Người trở nên
nguồn ơn cứu độ vĩnh cửu cho tất cả những ai tùng phục Người. (Dt 5, 8-9). </span></p>

Nếu đặt câu hỏi : Khi dựng nên con người, Thiên Chúa đã trao ban điều
gì cao cả nhất và cũng nguy hiểm nhất cho con người ? Người ta có thể trả
lời mà không sợ sai : TỰ DO. </span></p>

Vâng, "tự do" đó chính là cái khả năng, cái phẩm chất độc đáo nhất làm
cho con người trở nên "linh ư vạn vật", giúp con người trở nên vĩ đại, thành
tạo vật tuyệt vời, nên con thảo của Thiên Chúa. Nhưng "tự do" cũng có thể
ném chúng ta xuống vũng lầy của nô lệ, tội lỗi, phản bội... Chúng ta không
được quên rằng, ngay từ buổi bình minh của lịch sư nhân loại, vì đã sử dụng
tự do sai lệch mà tổ tông loài người đã "đánh mất vườn địa đàng", ném con
cháu xuống vực thẳm của tội lỗi và sự chết. (x. St 3, 1-7). Cũng may, một
"Người Con Nhân Loại" khác, một "A-đam mới", vì đã biết dùng tự do của mình
một cách đúng đắn, trọn hảo, đã đưa nhân loại vào "quỉ đạo của tình yêu và
ân sủng". Người "Con Nhân Loại" đó chính là Đức Ki-tô mà hôm nay chúng ta
cùng chiêm ngưỡng để cùng học nơi Ngài bài học "sử dụng tự do", bài học
"vâng phục".</span></p>

I. Đức Ki-tô vâng phục : Thi hành ý muốn Chúa Cha.</span></p>

Điều đầu tiên chúng ta tìm thấy trong cuôc sống tự do tuyệt đối của
Con Thiên Chúa chính là : Ngài hoàn toàn vâng phục thánh ý Chúa Cha.</span></p>

"Lương thực của Thầy là thi hành ý muốn của Đấng đã sai Thầy và hoàn tất
công trình của Người" (Ga 4, 34).</span></p>

Chúng ta hãy nghe Đức Thánh Cha G.P.II cắt nghĩa điều đó trong Tông huấn
"Đời Thánh Hiến" :</span></p>

Người là Đấng vâng phục tuyệt đối, từ trời xuống thế không phải để làm theo
ý Người, nhưng để làm theo ý Đấng đã sai Người (Ga 6, 38 ; Dt 10, 5-7).
Người đặt để sinh mệnh và hành động của mình trong tay Chúa Cha (x. Lc 2,
49). Vì vâng phục như con thảo, Người chọn hình thức nô lệ : "Người đã làm
cho mình hoá ra không (...), vâng lời cho đến chết và chết trên thập giá"
(Pl2, 7-8). (ĐTH 22).</span></p>

Đó cũng chính là ý nghĩa sâu xa cuối cùng của "Đức Vâng phục" mà tất
cả mọi Ki-tô hữu, đặc biệt những người được thánh hiến, được gọi mời sống và
thực hiện.</span></p>

"Đức vâng phục, thực thi theo gương Chúa Ki-tô, Đấng lấy việc thi hành ý
muốn của Chúa Cha làm lương thực cho mình, biểu lộ vẽ đẹp thanh thoát của sự
lệ thuộc đầy tình con thảo chứ không phải nô lệ, đầy ý thức trách nhiệm và
được lòng tin cậy lẫn nhau thúc đẩy, phản ảnh cho mọi người về mối dây liên
hệ trong tình yêu của Ba Ngôi Thiên Chúa". (ĐTH 21).</span></p>

Khi chọn ý muốn của Thiên Chúa làm "kim chỉ nam" cho</span></p>

việc sử dụng tự do như thế xem ra có mâu thuẩn với ý nghĩa đích thực của tự
do hay không ? Nói cách khác, làm sao có thể sống đức vâng phục từng ngày
trong một niềm xác tín rằng : sống như thế chính là thể hiện trọn vẹn tính
nhân bản và làm phong phú đời sống tâm linh, là cách thế phát triển toàn
diện con người ? Chúng ta hãy lắng nghe lời giải đáp của Đức Thánh Cha :</span></p>

"Đức vâng phục trình bày một cách đặc biệt hùng hồn việc Chúa Ki-tô vâng
phục Chúa Cha như là mẫu mực, và khởi đi từ mầu nhiệm Chúa Ki-tô, đức vâng
phục minh chứng rằng : vâng phục và tự do không mâu thuẩn nhau.</span></p>

Thật vậy, thái đô của Chúa Con cho thấy rằng mầu nhiệm về tự do của con
người là con đường vâng phục ý muốn Chúa Cha, và mầu nhiệm của vâng phục là
con đường chinh phục từng bước sự tự do chân thật. Người được thánh hiến
đúng là người muốn diễn tả mầu nhiệm đó bằng lời khấn vâng phục. Do đấy, họ
muốn biểu lộ ý thức về mối tương quan nghĩa tử, nhờ mối tương quan ấy họ đón
nhận ý muốn Chúa Cha như lương thực hằng ngày (x. Ga 4, 34), như đá tảng
vững chắc, như niềm vui, thuẩn đỡ và nơi trú ẩn cho họ (x. Tv 18/17,3). Như
thế, họ cho thấy họ lớn lên trong sự thật toàn diện của con người họ, trong
khi vẫn được gắn liền với nguồn mạch hiện hữu của họ, và công bố sứ điệp đầy
an ủi nầy :"Kẻ yêu luật Chúa hưởng an bình thư thái, chẳng còn lo gặp chướng
ngại nào" (Tv. 119/118, 165). (ĐTH 91).</span></p>

Như thế, vâng phục không phải là chuyện riêng của "kẻ bề dưới",
mà là cho tất cả những ai muốn đáp lại lời mời gọi thánh thiện của Tin Mừng
; cũng không phải chỉ dừng lại ở chuyện "giữ nghiêm túc mọi luật nhà", là
"vâng lời tối mặt" ý muốn của "bề trên", mà phải là cuôc lên đường liên tục,
cuộc "vượt qua" đầy nhiêu khê để tìm kiếm và thực thi thánh ý Chúa trong
mọi biến cố, mọi phút giây, mọi tương quan...trong cuộc sống.</span></p>

II. phải thể hiện đời sống vâng phục thế nào ?</span></p>

Trước hết, chúng ta thử điểm lại những việc làm cụ thể của Chúa
Ki-tô mang dấu ấn của cuộc đời vâng phục Chúa Cha :</span></p>

Từ cuộc sống và sứ điệp của Đức Ki-tô, để sống vâng phục, chúng
ta có thể rút ra vài áp dụng cụ thể sau :</span></p>

1/. Sông vâng phục, đó là đón nhận và sống Lời Chúa :</span></p>

Người đáp lại :"Mẹ tôi và anh em tôi, chính là những ai nghe Lời Thiên Chúa
và đem ra thực hành" (Lc 8, 21).</span></p>

Để nhận thức rõ hơn ý nghĩa nầy, có lẽ chúng ta nên đọc lại
chứng từ của Đức Hồng y F.X Nguyễn văn Thuận trong "Chứng nhân hy vọng" :</span></p>

Trong thời gian ở tù tôi đã viết :"Con hãy tuân giữ một qui luật thôi : Phúc
Âm. Hiến pháp này cao vượt trên tất cả mọi hiến pháp khác. Đó là luật mà
Chúa Giê-su đã để lại cho các Tông đồ (x. Mt 4, 23). Nó không khó khăn,
phiền phức hay gò bó như các luật khác ; trái lại nó sinh động, nhân hậu và
phấn chấn đối với tâm hồn con. Một vị thánh sống xa phúc âm là vị thánh giả"
(ĐHV 986).</span></p>

Thật vậy, viêc thấm nhập Lời Chúa không chấp nhận cách suy tư và xử thế kiểu
con người và dẫn đưa chúng ta bước vào trong một lối sống mới do Đức Ki-tô
khai mào. Ai sống Phúc Âm có thể cùng với thánh Phaolô tiến tới chỗ "mặc lấy
tư tưởng của Đức Ki-tô" (1 Cr 2, 16); và có khả năng đọc ra các dấu chỉ thời
đại với chính cái nhìn của Đức Ki-tô và như thế để lại ảnh hưởng sáng tạo
trên lịch sử; kinh nghiệm được sự tự do đích thật, niềm vui, lòng can đảm
sống thực với Tin Mừng; tìm được niềm tin cậy mới nơi Thiên Chúa Cha và mối
tương quan đích thực và tình con thảo chân thành, đồng thời hướng đến việc
phục vụ con người một cách cụ thể.</span></p>

Nói cho cùng, Phúc Âm vén mở cho chúng ta ý nghĩa sâu thẳm của cuộc sống.
Như thế rốt cuộc chúng ta biết được lý do tại sao chúng ta sống và giáo huấn
của Đức Ki-tô làm cho chúng ta hy vọng trở lại. Kết quả không phải chúng ta
sống nữa, mà là chính Chúa Ki-tô sống trong chúng ta. Qua các lời Kinh
Thánh, chính Ngôi Lời ở trong chúng ta và biến đổi chúng ta trong Người :
chúng ta trở nên Lời Chúa sống động. Đức Giáo Hoàng Phaolô VI đã tự hỏi
:"Làm thế nào để cho Chúa Giê-su hiện diện trong các linh hồn?" Và người trả
lời :"Nhờ phương tiện vận chuyển, nhờ việc thông truyền lời nói mà tư tưởng
của Ngôi Lời, Con Thiên Chúa nhập thể làm người đến được với các linh hồn.
Có thể khẳng định rằng Chúa nhập thể trong chúng ta khi chúng ta chấp nhận
cho lời của Ngài đến sống trong chúng ta" (Giáo huấn của Đức Phaolô VI, V

một tiếng gọi, bất chấp những khác biệt về chủng tộc, hoặc nguồn gốc, về
ngôn ngử hay văn hoá. Trái ngược với tinh thần bất hoà và chia rẽ, quyền
bính và vâng phục cho ta một dấu chỉ sáng ngời của tính hiền phụ duy nhất
đến từ Thiên Chúa, của tình huynh đệ phát sinh từ Thánh Thần, của tự do nội

Với những chỉ dẫn trên, chúng ta có thể kết luận với nhau rằng : Khi chúng
ta đặt mình dưới Luật Chúa, Luật Tin Mừng, Luật Hội Thánh, Luật Dòng trong
thái độ tin yêu, hiệp nhất, bác ái, khiêm hạ và trong tinh thần xây dựng
Nhiệm Thể, trong tư cách Chứng nhân và thể hiện tình con thảo của Đức Ki-tô,
chúng ta sẽ thấy mọi sự là "ách êm ái, gánh nhẹ nhàng" (Mt 11, 28-30). Mà
thực vậy, bất cứ điều gì được thực hiện trong tình yêu và với tình yêu thì
sẽ trở nên tuyệt vời :"Ở giữa lòng Hội Thánh, em sẽ là tình yêu" (Thánh
Tê-rê-xa Hài Đồng, Tiến sĩ)."Những chiến tích lừng danh mà thiếu tình yêu
thì chỉ còn là mây khói" (Chiara de Lubich).</span></p>

Ngày hôm nay, thế giới đang đứng trước một thách đố lớn lao về việc sử dụng
tự do, quyền bính, về việc đón nhận và thực thi những nguyên tắc luân lý
hướng dẫn cuộc sống...Trong khi nhiều người thời nay quan niệm tự do đó là
buông thả, tháo thứ, quyền bính là áp đặt, vâng phục là nô lệ... thì đời
sống của những người tu sĩ phải là một chứng tá hùng hồn về việc vun đắp sự
tự do đích thực, làm sáng ngời những chân lý về Thiên Chúa và con người được
thể hiện qua việc lựa chọn sống đức Vâng Phục trong tình yêu và tự do.</span></p>

chúng ta như nghe ra lời kêu mời của Đấng "đã yêu chúng ta trước" (1 Ga 4,
19). Thiên Chúa yêu cầu chúng ta phải nên thánh như chính Ngài là thánh (x.
Lv 19, 2), phải nên hoàn hảo, trong Đức Ki-tô, như chính Ngài là hoàn hảo
(x. Mt 5, 48) : tính chất khe khắt của giới răn vốn đặt nền tảng trên tình
yêu từ ái và khôn vơi của Thiên Chúa (x. Lc 6, 36) và mục đích của giới răn
là dẫn dắt chúng ta, cùng với ân sủng của Đức Ki-tô, trên con đường tiến đến
sự sống viên mãn vốn dành riêng cho những người làm con Thiên Chúa" (Thông
