Vào lúc ấy, Đức Giê-su cất tiếng nói :"Lạy Cha là Chúa tể trời đất, con xin
ngợi khen Cha, vì Cha đã dấu không cho bậc khôn ngoan thông thái biết những
điều này, nhưng lại mặc khải cho những người bé mọn".(Mt 11, 25)</span></p>

"Trên từng cây số" của chiều dài lịch sử cứu rỗi mà Kinh thánh
Cựu-Tân- ước trình bày, chúng ta luôn tìm gặp hai mẫu người, hai hình ảnh
đối ngược nhau, tương phản nhau : </span></p>

Trước hết là một vài gương mặt điễn hình của cựu ước :</span></p>

* Mô-sê, một người bị săn đuổi, lang thang chăn cừu trong hoang địa xứ
Ma-đi-an, đối mặt với một Pha-ra-ô, vị hoàng đế Ai Cập uy quyền lẫm liệt.
(Xh 12, 29-32). </span></p>

* Đa-vít, "người mục tử có gương mặt đẹp", chỉ với chiếc ná và vài viên đá
cuội, đã hạ gục tên dũng sĩ Go-li-át to lớn và được trang bị "đến tận răng".

* Ê-li-a, vị ngôn sứ một đời cô độc, không lùi bước trước một hoàng hậu
I-dê-ven và vua A-kháp trong cuộc chiến bảo vệ niềm tin. (1V 19, 1-8).</span></p>

* Giu-đi-tha, người goá phụ "liểu yếu đào tơ", vì sự sống còn của dân Chúa,
đã chém đầu viên đại tướng Ho-lô-phec-nê oai hùng bách chiến bách thắng.
(Gđt 13, 1-10).</span></p>

* Ét-te, Móoc-đô-khai, những người mang thân phận lưu đầy và bị án tử, với
niềm tin yêu phó thác đã chiến thắng tên đại thần ác độc Ha-man. (Et 5-7).</span></p>

Trong khi đó, Tân ước đã cho chúng ta gặp thấy :</span></p>

phải trốn chạy trước chủ trương tàn độc của Hê-rô-đê, tàn sát các trẻ em ở
Bê-lem để giữ vững ngai vàng.</span></p>

* Gioan Tẩy giả, vị ngôn sứ "bản lề" của "hai Giao ước", đã chấp nhận mất
đầu để bảo vệ cương thường đạo lý mà những kẻ băng hoại đầy thế lực, uy
quyền như Hê-rô-đi-a-đê, Hê-rô-đê đã chà đạp.</span></p>

* Nhóm Mười Hai Tông đồ, phần đông dốt nát, túng nghèo, qui tụ với nhau
chung quanh một người nghèo kiết xác đến đổi "không có viên đá gối đầu", đối
mặt với giai cấp tư tế, biệt phái luôn dành cho mình những đăc quyền đặc lợi
và uy thế trần gian.</span></p>

* Và nhất là Đấng Cứu Thế Giê-su :</span></p>

- Một ngôn sứ bị dè biểu là "con anh chàng thợ mộc",</span></p>

- Một người bị xếp vào loại tội lỗi, phá hoại và cuối cùng bị kết án tử
hình giữa những tôi nhân…</span></p>

đã phải đối mặt với những con người quyền uy, thế lực, giàu sang...như
Phi-la-tô, Hê-rô-đê, Biệt phái...</span></p>

<span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif">
Phải chăng tất cả những gương mặt đó, những con ngừơi đó đã làm bừng sáng
lên những lời dạy của Chúa Giê-su : </span></p>

"Lạy Cha là Chúa tể trời đất, con xin ngợi khen Cha, vì Cha đã dấu không cho
bậc khôn ngoan thông thái biết những điều này, nhưng lại mặc khải cho những
người bé mọn".(Mt 11, 25).</span></p>

"Phúc thay ai có lòng khó nghèo, ai khóc lóc, ai bị bách hại..."(Mt 5,

"Ai hạ mình xuống sẽ được nâng lên". (Lc 18, 14).</span></p>

Giờ đây, chúng ta hãy cùng nhau chiêm ngắm một "Đức Ki-tô khiêm hạ", để
chính cuộc đời và sứ điệp của Ngài sẽ biến đổi chúng ta.</span></p>

I. Đức Ki-tô khiêm hạ trong mầu nhiệm nhập thể.</span></p>

Để giúp suy niệm về sự khiêm hạ của Đức Ki-tô trong mầu nhiệm
Nhập Thể, có lẽ đoạn thư của Thánh Phao-lô sau đây là một gợi ý thích hợp :</span></p>

"Đức Giê-su Ki-tô vốn dĩ là Thiên Chúa mà không nghĩ phải nhất quyết duy trì
địa vị ngang hàng với Thiên Chúa, nhưng đã hoàn toàn trút bỏ vinh quang, mặc
lấy thân nô lệ, trở nên giống phàm nhân giống như người trần thế. Người lại
còn hạ mình, vâng lời cho đến nổi bằng lòng chịu chết, chết trên cây thập
tự". (Pl2, 6-8).</span></p>

1/. Đức Ki-tô khiêm hạ khi tự xoá mình đi : </span></p>

Là Thiên Chúa, Ngài đã "hạ cố" thẳm sâu, đã đi xuống hết cở : "làm người và
ở cùng chúng ta" (Ga 1, 14). Một sự trút bỏ kỳ diệu, một sự xoá mình lạ
lùng. Huyền nhiệm nầy chúng ta không thể lý giải bằng lý trí. Mà thực vậy,
"con tim có những lý do mà lý trí không sao hiểu nổi". Vâng, sự khiêm hạ
thẳm sâu đó chỉ có thể cắt nghĩa bằng tình yêu và thực hiện với tình yêu.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt">

Học sự khiêm hạ của Đức Ki-tô trong khía cạnh nầy dó là từng
ngày hạ mình xuống, xoá mình đi, xem cái tôi, xem địa vị là "nhỏ rức". Thực
hiện việc "hạ mình" như thế quả không dễ đối với bản tính hư hèn chuộng cái
"danh", cái "lợi", cái tăm tiếng, cái sĩ diện hảo của "nòi con cháu A-dong".
Miệng thế gian đã chẳng nói rằng : "Ninh thọ tử bất ninh thọ nhục" (thà chết
chẳng thà chịu nhục). Hay "Một miếng giữa làng bằng một sàng xó bếp".</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt">

Như thế, khi chúng ta bị xúc phạm, bị lăng nhục, bị xem thường,
bị kết án, bị phán đoán, đánh giá sai...hãy nhớ ngay đến "Đức Ki-tô đã trút
bỏ vinh quang...".</span></p>

2/. Đức Ki-tô khiêm hạ khi "mặc thân nô lệ, nên giống phàm nhân".</span></p>

Trút bỏ, hạ cố, xoá mình để dấn thân vào một "sự hiện hữu mới",
một môi trường mới, một vị trí mới nhỏ nhất, thấp nhất. Noi gương Đức Ki-tô
khiêm hạ đó là biết từng ngày dấn thân đón nhận cái phận hèn, cái tăm tối,
cái bị lãng quên, cái không ai chuộng. Đây lại cũng là một điều khó. Vì
thường tình, ai mà không thích chọn cho mình một chỗ tốt, một địa vị khá,
một môi trường làm việc, sinh sống đàng hoàng, một công việc có giá trị, một
sự công nhận về giá trị bản thân. Chọn lựa Đức Kitô khiêm hạ là bình thản
theo Ngài trong tự do và yêu thương, trong vui tươi và hạnh phúc trên mọi
nẽo đường của hy sinh, tăm tối, thấp hèn, nhỏ bé.</span></p>

II. Đức Ki-tô khiêm hạ trong cung cách ứng xử với tha nhân.</span></p>

* Chấp nhận làm "một người phục vụ": </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt">
<span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif">
"Bởi lẽ giữa người ngồi ăn với kẻ phục vụ, ai lớn hơn ai ? Hẳn là người ngồi
ăn chứ ? Thế mà, Thầy đây, Thầy sống giữa anh em như một người phục vụ" (Lc
22, 27; Ga 13, 1-15).</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt">
<span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif">
* Không phân biệt đối xử : Người thu thuế, gái điếm, kẻ phung
cùi, biệt phái, đàn bà, con nít...tất cả đều có thể đối diện, gặp gỡ, rờ
đụng, ăn uống với Chúa Ki-tô.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt">
<span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif">
* Quan tâm đặc biệt những người nghèo : Cái tính "cách mạng và
triệt để" của nhân cách và sứ điệp của Đức Ki-tô phải chăng đó là sự quan
tâm đặc biệt đối với những người nghèo (về cả hai phương diện : thể xác cũng
như tinh thần), những người bị loại trừ, những kẻ thấp cổ bé miệng, những
người bị ruồng bỏ, kết án.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt">
<span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif">
Sống sự khiêm hạ của Đức Ki-tô trong cách ứng xử với tha nhân đó
chính là biết mở lòng đón nhận mọi người, không trừ ai, không định kiến lựa
chọn, nhưng tìm thấy mọi người trong trái tim yêu thương và lòng kính trọng;
đó chính là biết quan tâm đặc biệt đến những phần tử nhỏ bé, ít ỏi, bị thiệt
thòi, bịnh hoạn, ít học, không có những đặc diểm (nhan sắc, trí khôn, gia
cảnh...) đang hiện diện trong cộng đoàn và chung quanh ta; đó cũng chính là
sẵn sàng cúi xuống để phục vụ, sẵn sàng đảm nhận mọi công tác, nhiệm vụ thấp
hèn, tăm tối. </span></p>

III. Đức Ki-tô khiêm hạ trong cuộc khổ nạn.</span></p>

Cuộc khổ nạn của Đức Ki-tô phải chăng là "điểm đến" cuối cùng
của sự tự hạ, của cuộc hạ cố :" Người lại còn hạ mình, vâng lời cho đến nổi
bằng lòng chịu chết, chết trên cây thập tự". (Pl 2, 8). Chiêm ngưỡng cuộc
khổ nạn, nhìn lên Thập giá của đức Ki-tô chúng ta dễ nhận ra bao nhiêu bài
học của sự tự khiêm tự hạ. Sống sự khiêm hạ của Đức Ki-tô trong mầu nhiệm
nầy đó chính là mỗi ngày can đảm đón nhận mọi chén đắng của khổ đau trong
tâm hồn và thể xác, những tủi cực của bịnh hoạn tật nguyền riêng ta hay của
mọi người chung quanh, những hiểu lầm, bị kết án bất công, những giới hạn
trong khả năng, những thua thiệt trong quyền lợi, cả những tính hư tật xấu
của mình hay của những người khác. Chúng ta làm sao biến câu tâm nguyện
:"Đối tượng duy nhất của lòng trí chúng con là Thập giá Chúa Giê-su" thành
hiện thực trong cuộc sống, chứ đừng giữ lại như một câu "bùa chú" sáo rỗng.</span></p>

Kết : Ngày hôm nay, sự tự hạ của Đức Ki-tô vẫn còn đang tiếp diễn mỗi ngày
qua "Thân Thể mầu nhiệm của Ngài" là Hôị Thánh, qua "Nhiệm tích Thánh Thể",
qua những người nghèo khắp nơi trên thế giới. Đặc biệt, nhờ sự tự hạ trong
bí tích Thánh Thể của Đức Ki-tô mà chúng ta nhận được lương thực trường
sinh; nhờ sự xoá mình kỳ diệu nầy, Đức Ki-tô đã trở nên "tấm bánh được bẻ
ra" để nhân loại được trao phần sự sống vĩnh cửu. Chỉ khi nào chúng ta cảm
nhận sâu xa cái bé bỏng, giới hạn, tầm thường của</span></p>
