Bấy giờ ông Mô-sê đang chăn chiên cho bố vợ là Gít-rô, tư tế Ma-đi-an. Ông
dẫn đoàn chiên qua bên kia sa mạc, đến núi của Thiên Chúa, là núi Khô-rếp.
Thiên Chúa gọi ông :"Mô-sê ! Mô-sê !" Ông thưa :"Dạ tôi đây!" Người phán
:"Chớ lại gần ! Cởi dép ở chân ra, vì nơi ngươi đang đứng là đất thánh". (Xh
3, 1.4-5). </span></p>

Người Mê-hi-cô thích đội chiếc mũ rộng vành. Làm gì, đi đâu cũng đội
mũ. Người ta kể rằng, có một Vị Tử Đạo Mê-hi-cô khi đến pháp trường cũng
được đội mũ. Tuy nhiên, trước khi đao phủ chém đầu Ngài, Ngài đã nói với đao
phủ rằng :"Xin cất mũ dùm tôi để tôi chào Chúa".</span></p>

Vâng, đến trước mặt Chúa, đến gặp gỡ Chúa lẽ nào chúng ta "cả gan"
để mũ trên đầu, "để dép trong chân" (Xh 3, 5). Nói cách khác, nếu tĩnh tâm
đó là một cuộc gặp gỡ Chúa Ki-tô thì chúng ta phải có một "tư cách chĩnh
tề", một thái độ "sắp sẳn" nghiêm túc, một chuẩn bị đàng hoàng. Sau đây là
vài đề nghị giúp chuẩn bị những điều cần thiết để đi vào gặp gỡ Chúa Ki-tô,
đi vào cuộc tỉnh tâm. </span></p>

1/. Một không gian nội tâm thích hợp : </span></p>

Kinh Thánh đã cho ta thấy rằng : những cuộc gặp gỡ quan trọng
giữa Thiên Chúa và những nhân vật đặc biệt được chọn đã xảy ra trong một
không gian tỉnh mạc, hoang vắng : sa mạc, núi cao...</span></p>

v Mô-sê vào sâu trong sa mạc Ma-đi-an và gặp Chúa trên núi Khô-rếp (Xh

v Ê-li-a đi bộ 40 ngày đêm lên núi Khô-rếp và trong tiếng gió nhẹ hiu
hiu đã gặp gỡ Chúa. (1 V 19, 4-14).</span></p>

v Đức Ki-tô vào trong hoang mạc 40 đêm ngày (Mc 1, 12), Ngài lên núi cầu
nguyện (Mt 14, 23), Ngài cầu nguyện trên núi Ô-liu (Lc 22, 39-46); và Ngài
dạy rằng:</span></p>

- "Chính anh em hãy lánh riêng ra đến một nơi thanh vắng mà nghỉ ngơi đôi
chút" (Mc 6, 31).</span></p>

Qua những chỉ dẫn trên, chúng ta có thể nói được rằng : núi cao,
hoang mạc, nơi thanh vẵng, phòng kín...vừa là một "không gian tỉnh tâm theo
đúng nghĩa đen", nhưng cũng vừa là hình ảnh, là biểu tượng về một "không
gian nội tâm" thích hợp và cần thiết để gặp gỡ Thiên Chúa, gặp gỡ Chúa
Ki-tô. Trong khoảng "không gian tinh thần" nầy, mọi ưu tư phiền muộn, mọi lo
toan vướng mắc, mọi níu kéo hẹn hò, mọi dự tính sắp đặt trần tục...cần phải
bị đẫy lùi, phải được xếp lại.</span></p>

Thế giơi hôm nay, trên nhiều phương diện, tiến bộ vượt bực. Một thế
giới mạnh mẽ sinh động, luôn ồn ào náo nhiệt như một cái chợ đông vui. Tuy
nhiên, theo phân tích của nhiều nhà xã hội học, tu đức học, thế giơi nầy
cũng rất bịnh hoạn, yếu kém. Lý do : thiếu những không gian nội tâm, thiếu
những con người nội tâm, thiếu những cộng đoàn nội tâm. Đứng trước cái thế
giới "bịnh hoạn", "thiếu nội tâm" đó, con người đang có nguy cơ rơi vào một
cơn khủng hoảng mới : các giáo phái...</span></p>

Là những người chọn sống đời thánh hiến, có lẽ điều quang trọng hàng
đầu đó chính là không ngừng thiết lập cho mình một khoảng không gian nội tâm
thường trực. Đặc biệt, trong cuộc tỉnh tâm nầy, chúng ta phải "lên cao",
phải "đi xa"; chúng ta phải thoát khỏi "đồng bằng cuộc sống" với trăm mối lo
toan, bận bịu, với trăm chiều lo ra chia trí, với bao phân tán vụn vặt cùng
với những nhọc nhằn vất vả mang dấu vết của trần tục, của đam mê... Chúng ta
hãy xin Chúa Thánh Thần biến "căn phòng tâm hồn" ta thành "núi cao trong
sáng", thành "sa mạc thanh vắng"...để ở đó chúng ta đón gặp Đức Ki-tô. Vâng,
để có được một "không gian nội tâm", để có thể tiến vào "sa mạc tâm hồn"
chúng ta cậy nhờ sức Chúa. Điều quan trọng là chúng ta sẵn sàng để Chúa "dụ
dỗ", để Chúa dẫn dắt như các sứ ngôn ngày xưa:</span></p>

"Lạy Đức Chúa, Ngài đã quyến rũ con, và con đã để cho Ngài quyến rũ" (Gr 20,
7).</span></p>

"Bởi thế, nầy Ta sẽ quyến rũ nó, đưa nó vào sa mạc, để cùng nó thổ lộ tâm
tình" (Hs 3, 16). </span></p>

2/. Một thái độ cầu nguyện sống động, cụ thể : </span></p>

- Tỉnh thức như Sa-mu-el (1 Sm 3, 10).</span></p>

- Trân trọng như Mô-sê : Cởi dép, che mặt (Xh3, 5-6).</span></p>

- Nhanh nhạy, lịch sự như Phê-rô : Khoác áo vào, nhảy ngay xuống biển, bơi
vào bờ (Ga 21, 7).</span></p>

- Tin yêu, tôn thờ như người mù từ lúc mới sinh : Khi nghe Chúa bảo :"Chính
là người đang nói với anh". Anh nói :'Thưa Ngài, tôi tin". Rồi anh sấp mình
thờ lạy Người. (Ga 9,37).</span></p>

- Khiêm hạ, đơn thành như người đàn bà bị bệnh băng huyết, khi biết không
thể che dấu việc chạm đến gấu áo Chúa, đã đến phủ phục trước mặt Ngài. (Lc
8,47).</span></p>

Chúng ta cũng đừng quên một hình ảnh đẹp : Cô Maria ở Be-ta-ni-a
ngoan ngoản, yên lặng ngồi lắng nghe Lời Chúa.(Lc 10, 38-39). Trong khi đó,
nếu ai trong chúng ta có dịp chứng kiến những cử hành "lễ Phật" của tín đồ
Phật giáo, hoặc nghi thức cúng kính ông bà của của những người theo Khổng
giáo hay "người lương" nói chung, chúng ta sẽ gặp thấy một thái độ thành
kính sâu xa, một tâm tình tín ngưởng nồng nàn, chân thực. Điều đó phải chăng
là một mẫu gương, một nhắc nhở cần thiết để chúng ta xem lại, điều chỉnh lại
cung cách của chúng ta khi đến với Chúa Ki-tô, khi đối diện với Ngài, gặp gỡ
Ngài. Ước gì mỗi một giờ cầu nguyện hay cử hành phụng vụ trong cuộc tỉnh tâm
nầy phải là một cuộc gặp gỡ sinh động, trân trọng dành cho Chúa Ki-tô. Hành
trang cần thiết nhất để đem vào cuộc tỉnh tâm phải chăng là một thái độ cầu
nguyện sinh động, cụ thể. Ước mong sao mỗi giờ cầu nguyện trong cuộc tỉnh
tâm nầy là một cử hành tôn thờ, yêu mến, tin tưởng dành cho "Đấng Tình Quân"
là Đức Ki-tô, như tâm tình của Thánh Nữ Tê-rê-xa thành A-vil-la:</span></p>

3/. Một trái tim dũng cảm để chiến đấu.</span></p>

Trước hết, chúng ta hãy nhớ rằng : những lần cầu nguyện đặc biệt
nhất, quan trọng nhất của Chúa Giê-su cũng là những cuộc chiến đấu cam go
nhất của Ngài trước những cám dỗ của ma quỉ, của sự dữ :</span></p>

- Đức Ki-tô đã chiến đấu và chiến thắng ba cơn cám dỗ trong hoang
mạc, khi Ngài "tỉnh tâm" 40 đêm ngày để chuẩn bị cho cuộc đời công khai loan
tin mừng Nước Chúa. (Mt 4, 1-11).</span></p>

Chính vì thế, xin đừng có ai nghĩ rằng : bước vào cuộc tỉnh tâm đó là tức
khắc tìm được một "vườn thượng uyển" đầy những "êm ái nội tâm", những hoa
thơm, mật ngọt của ân sủng, những tiếng nói dịu dàng của Thánh Linh...Chúng
ta có quyền hy vọng, trông cậy Chúa ban cho chúng ta những điều đó. Tuy
nhiên, điều quan trọng chúng ta cần ý thức và chuẩn bị đó là : cuộc đọ sức
cam go với những cơn cám dỗ :</span></p>

Để chiến đấu và chiến thắng trong "cuộc chiến nội tâm" nầy, chúng ta cần một
trái tim tự do, dũng cảm, một ý chí mạnh mẽ kiên trì! đừng quên trang bị cho
mình thứ "vũ khí của Đa-vít" :"Ta đến với ngươi nhân danh Gia-vê" (1 Sm 17,
45). Đó chính là lòng khiêm hạ, tin tưởng phó thác. Nhất là phải luôn luôn
dùng chính vũ khí của Đức Ki-tô :</span></p>

- Lời Chúa "Người ta sống không chỉ nhờ cơm bánh, nhưng còn nhờ mọi lời
miệng Thiên Chúa phán ra" (Mt 4, 1-14).</span></p>

Tuy vậy xin đừng làm theo ý con, mà xin theo ý Cha" (Lc 22, 42).</span></p>

Như vậy, chúng ta hãy cùng nhau cố gắng biến cuộc tỉnh tâm nầy thành một
cuộc "hội ngộ" với Chúa Ki-tô đầy sinh động, vui tươi, nhưng luôn mang "dáng
đứng" tôn thờ, phụng vụ, trong một không gian yên ắng, thanh bình, đầy ẵp
tin yêu phó thác.</span></p>
