nào ghé qua cộng đoàn của
cha mà cha không ân cần tiếp
đón, mời dâng lễ, và rất
chân tình mời giảng. Ngài
thường nói:" Mình là quản
nhiệm, mình giảng cả đời ở
đây rồi. Anh em tới, phải
mời giảng để giáo dân được
nghe một bài giảng khác lạ.
Tâm lý giáo dân, dầu họ có
thích cha quản nhiệm của họ
mấy đi nữa, họ vẫn thích
nghe một Linh Mục khách
giảng hơn, cho dù có dở hơn
cha quản nhiệm của họ, vẫn
có cái gì mới mẻ, thich thú
hơn..."</span></div>

cứ một anh em Linh Mục, một
Sơ nào từ Viêt Nam qua, ngài
cũng giới thiệu với cộng
đoàn để xin giúp đỡ; ngay cả
khi Đức Giám Mục đã ngăn cấm
lạc quyên, thì ngài vẫn kín
đáo kêu gọi giáo dân giúp đỡ
khi ra khỏi nhà thờ. Thật là
một tấm lòng tha thiết với
Quê hương !! </span></div>

Nhân chuyến thăm bạn bè ở
San Diego ( người ta nói San
Diego không những là thành
phố nghỉ hè tốt nhất nước
Mỹ, mà còn là tốt nhất thế
giới nữa), tôi có dịp ghé
thăm ngài (cũng là lần cuối
cùng anh em gặp nhau trên
trần gian). Bấy giờ ngài đã
phát giác chứng bệnh ung thư
hiểm nghèo.<span id="m_-3631699826229879743yiv9122669288yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1493945029053_3586"> </span>Thân
hình gầy đét như con mắm. Ôm
hug ngài như ôm một cái xác
ve!</span></div>

dân trong khi Linh mục khách
dâng lễ. Lễ xong, ngài đứng
lại hỏi thăm mọi người, dù
trông ngài rất mệt vì chemo
nhiều lần. Ngài còn ra tận
đài Đức Mẹ chụp hình với
giáo dân, ân cần, cho đến
khi mọi người về hết.</span></div>
