số 30 bắt nguồn từ truyền thống Cựu Ước than khуc người chết trong 30 ngаy.
Sau khi dвng 30 thбnh lễ, người thвn của vị tu sĩ mơ thấy фng hiện về, bбo
tin đг được giải thoбt. Họ vui mừng đến bбo tin cho Đức giбo hoаng nhưng
ngаi đг biết trước họ.Tin nаy được loan ra bкn ngoаi rất nhanh vа hмnh thаnh

với Đức Kitф… Những người chết trong вn sủng vа tмnh thвn nghĩa của Thiкn
Chъa, nhưng chưa được thanh luyện hoаn toаn, thм tuy họ chắc chắn sẽ được
cứu độ muфn đời, họ cтn phải chịu thanh luyện sau khi chết, để đạt tới sự
thбnh thiện cần thiết hầu tiến vаo hưởng niềm vui thiкn đаng” (GLHTCG, số

Dщ đг được sống muфn đời với Đức Kitф hoặc cтn đang trong thời gian thanh

được tội cho cбc con фng, tại sao bạn lại hồ nghi lа liệu những lễ tế chъng
ta dвng lкn để cầu nguyện cho người quб cố cу đem đến cho họ một an ủi nаo
khфng?... Chъng ta đừng ngần ngại giъp đỡ những người đг qua đời vа dвng lời
