Chúng ta vừa mới nghe những bài đọc trong ngày Chúa Nhật thứ II mùa
Thường Niên. Những bài đọc này đều nói đến <strong style="outline: none; list-style-type: none; box-sizing: border-box; border: 0px none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px">ơn
gọi</strong>. Và khi nói đến ơn gọi, lập tức chúng ta liên tưởng đến ơn
gọi làm Linh Mục hay ơn gọi làm tu sĩ. Dĩ nhiên điều đó là đúng thôi.</p>

Đã có một lần, tôi đọc hạnh của thánh Augustinô, tôi nhớ lại lời của
thánh nhân nói với giáo dân của Ngài như thế này: “với anh chị em, tôi
là một Kitô hữu, và cho anh chị em, tôi là một Giám Mục”. Như thế có
nghĩa là thánh Augustinô muốn nói với chúng ta cái ơn gọi Kitô hữu là
một ơn gọi nền tảng trong mọi ơn gọi khác.</p>

Khi tôi còn trẻ, lúc còn cắp sách đến trường, người ta bảo rằng: muốn
nên thánh thì trước hết phải nên người. Muốn làm Kitô hữu thực sự, thì
trước hết phải là một con người cho nó ra người. Thế cho nên, tôi không
nói với anh chị em về ơn gọi đi tu làm Linh Mục hay là tu sĩ. Nhưng ở
đây, tối hôm nay, tôi muốn chia sẻ với anh chị em một vài suy nghĩ về ơn
gọi nền tảng liên quan đến tất cả chúng ta.</p>

Anh chị em cũng nhận thấy rằng người Kitô giáo của mình có một cái nhìn
rất độc đáo về cuộc sống con người. Kitô giáo không nhìn cuộc sống con
người như là một định mệnh hoặc như là một sự trùng hợp ngẫu nhiên nào
đó, mà nhìn cuộc sống làm người khởi đi từ một tiếng gọi. Hành trình làm
người của mỗi chúng ta trở thành một cuộc đối thoại giữa Đấng kêu gọi
mình, mà mình là người đáp trả tiếng gọi đó.</p>

Cái cuộc sống làm người của mình trở thành một tương quan mật thiết giữa
ta và Thiên Chúa, là Đấng mời gọi mình và ý thức rằng mình là người được
Ngài kêu gọi. Và tiếng gọi ấv, Thiên Chúa không chỉ gửi đến một lần mà
Ngài cứ liên tục thường xuyên gửi đến trong suốt cuộc hành trình làm
người của chúng ta, để giúp cho mình hoàn thành ơn gọi làm người và hoàn
thành ơn gọi làm Kitô hữu.</p>

-Tiếng gọi của Thiên Chúa hàm ẩn trong những trạng thái tâm lý của đời
sống, và Thiên Chúa gửi tiếng gọi đó đến với chúng ta bằng nhiều cách
khác nhau. Có người Chúa gọi cách âm thầm trong cung điện như Samuel.
Thinh lặng và thánh thiêng. Các môn đệ An-rê, Gio-an và Simon thì được
Chúa gọi ở ngoài đường chứ không phải trong nơi thanh vắng, giữa ban
ngày chứ không phải ban đêm, giữa nơi ồn ào chứ không phải nơi thinh
lặng.</p>

-Tiếng gọi của Thiên Chúa không phải chỉ trong nhà thờ mà ngay giữa lòng
cuộc sống xuyên qua với các biến cố của đời thường. Cái vấn đề là anh
chị em và tôi có nghe hay không. Nên tôi thấy các môn đệ Chúa Giêsu cung
cấp cho chúng ta một thái độ tuyệt vời nếu mà mình thực sự muốn hoàn
thành ơn gọi làm người và làm Kitô hữu, ta có thể tập trung vào 2 điểm
sau đây:</p>

– Tiếng gọi thì thầm: tiếng gọi đó diễn tả tiếng gọi của Thiên Chúa rất
là nhẹ nhàng. Mà vì quá nhẹ nhàng như vậy cho nên những lo âu, những bận
rộn của cuộc sống, sự ích kỷ, ghen tuông, thù hận…, mà chúng ta không
nghe được tiếng Chúa. Chính vì thế, chúng ta phải biết lắng nghe trong
thinh lặng. Hơn nữa, sự lắng nghe đó không những chỉ đơn giản lắng nghe
bằng đôi tai, mà phải lắng nghe bằng cả trái tim và bằng một ý chí lên
đường.</p>

– Thái độ lắng nghe bằng con tim và bằng ý chí. Các môn đệ của Chúa
Giêsu vào thời điểm đó đâu có phải là những người già cả giống như mình
nhìn ông thánh Phêrô đầu thì hói, coi già quá sức! Vào lúc đấy, các
ngài còn trẻ lắm. Những người trẻ như vậy mà đã sẵn sàng giả từ tất cả
mọi sự để đi theo Chúa Giêsu.</p>

– Chiên Vượt Qua: khi Thiên Chúa quyết định giải thoát dân Israel ra
khỏi Ai Cập, Ngài truyền cho mỗi gia đình trong dân Do thái phải sát tế
một con chiên đực. Con Chiên sát tế phải toàn ven, không quá một tuổi.
Hơn nữa phải lấy máu chiên bôi lên khung cửa những nhà có ăn thịt chiên.
Trong đêm ấy, Đức Chúa sẽ rảo khắp đất Ai Cập, sẽ sát hại các con đầu
lòng Ai Cập. Còn vết máu chiên được bôi lên khung cửa nhà của dân Do
thái, đó là dấu hiệu dân Chúa đang ở đó, Đức Chúa sẽ vượt qua và con cái
dân Do Thái sẽ không bị tiêu diệt (Xh 12,1-5). Như vậy nhờ máu chiên
trong tiệc vượt qua, dân Do Thái đã không bị tiệu diệt, nhưng nhờ đó mà
họ đã được giải thoát khỏi đất nô lệ Ai Cập, được trở nên dân tộc được
Chúa thánh hiến, được Chúa nhận làm dân sở hữu, được phụng thờ Thiên
