Giáo Hội chỉ dạy chúng ta chạy đến với Đức Mẹ, Thánh Cả Giuse và các
Thánh nam nữ khác để xin các ngài cầu thay nguyện giúp cho chúng ta
trước Tòa Chúa mà thôi, vì chỉ có một mình Chúa là Nguồn ban phát mọi ơn
lành cho chúng ta cách nhưng không (gratuitous). Bởi thế, khi ta có bất
cứ nhu cầu nào cần đến ơn phù trợ của Chúa, thì ta phải lấy lòng trông
cậy mà chạy đến với Chúa và nhờ Đức Mẹ, Thánh Cả Giuse và các Thánh nam
nữ khác nguyện giúp cầu bầu thay (intercede) cho chúng ta bên Tòa Chúa.
Đức Mẹ và các Thánh không ban ơn mà chỉ cầu xin đắc lực cho chúng ta mà

Bằng chứng Kinh Thánh cho biết xưa kia Chúa Giêsu và Mẹ Maria đến dự
tiệc cưới tại thành Cana, Đức Mẹ là người đầu tiên biết gia chủ hết rượu
giữa bữa tiệc. Mẹ đã lên tiếng xin Chúa cứu nguy cho họ. Trước hết Chúa
đã từ chối vì "<strong style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">giờ
của con chưa đến</strong>" (Ga 2:4). Nhưng vì lời cầu xin của Mẹ
mà Chúa Giêsu vẫn làm phép lạ đầu tiên biến nước lã thành rượu ngon, cứu
vãn danh dự cho gia đình chú rể. Sự kiện này cho thấy lời cầu bầu của
Đức Mẹ công hiệu thế nào.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">

Ngoài Mẹ ra, Thánh Cả Giuse cũng rất cao trọng vì vai trò và địa vị của
ngài trong việc cùng với Mẹ Maria cộng tác với Chúa Giêsu để cứu chuộc
nhân loại. Vì thế lời cầu bầu của Ngài cho chúng ta trước Toà Chúa chắc
chắn rất hữu hiệu.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">

toàn là việc bất kính đối với Thánh Cả vì không có một chút căn bản giáo
lý, tín lý nào cho phép làm việc này. Đây hoàn toàn là việc mê tín dị
đoan, xúc phạm đến Thánh Cả Giuse không thể chấp nhận được đối với niềm
tin Kitô giáo. Vậy những ai mê lầm đã tin và thực hành việc sai trái này
phải chấm dứt ngay sự bất kính đối với Thánh Cả Giuse.<br style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px">

Cũng cần nói thêm ở đây là người Công giáo, chúng ta cũng không được
phép trưng tượng ông Thần tài, ông công, ông táo trong các cơ sở buôn
bán, thương mại, dịch vụ ăn uống của mình vì trưng như thế là vô tình
đặt niềm tin vào một quyền lực khác ngoài Thiên Chúa, và như vậy trái
với giới răn thứ nhất dạy phải thờ lạy một mình Thiên Chúa mà thôi.</font></span></p>
