Nhưng sau Cфng Đồng trкn, ngаy 15 thбng 8 năm 1972, Đức Thбnh Cha Phaolф VI
đг ban Tфng Thư bải bỏ việc cắt tуc (tonsure) vа cбc chức thбnh nhỏ trкn
đвy. Riкng hai chức đọc sбch vа giъp lễ được biến đổi thаnh tбc vụ
(ministerium=ministиre=ministry) vа cу thể được trao cho cả tнn hữu giбo dвn
(lay Christians) để phụ giъp trong phụng vụ thбnh. Ở cбc Đại chủng viện, thм
tбc vụ đọc sбch được trao cho chủng sinh vаo cuối năm thần học thứ nhất, vа
tбc vụ giъp lễ vаo cuối năm thần 2.Cбc đại chủng sinh buộc phải nhận hai
tбc vụ nаy trước khi được thỉnh nguyện xin chịu chức Phу tế vа Linh mục. Vм
khфng cтn lа chức thбnh (holy order) nữa nкn cбc chủng sinh nhận lгnh cбc
tбc vụ nаy khфng buộc phải cam kết giữ luật độc thвn, vа vвng phục như cбc

trong toаn Giбo Hội Sбch Nghi Thức mới qua Tфng Thư ngаy 15 thбng 8 năm

trong Giбo Hội Latinh cả. Nếu cу thм đвy chỉ lа hмnh thức “phăng” (
fantaisie) của ai mа thфi. Cбi sai lầm lớn của người “phăng” nаy lа ở chỗ đг
lẫn lộn chức thбnh (ordo) với tбc vụ (ministerium) hay khфng hiểu rх cự khбc
biệt giữa hai định chế nаy. Cбc giбo phбi Tin lаnh khфng nhмn nhận bн tнch
truyền chức thбnh vм họ khфng tin cу bн tнch nаy do chнnh Chъa Giкsu đг
thiết lập trong Bữa Tiệc Ly cuối cщng khi Người truyền cho cбc mфn đệ “ anh

lаm sứ vụ rao giảng (preaching ministry) mа thфi.Như thế khi nуi “trao tбc
vụ phу tế vа linh mục, người ta đг vф tмnh coi việc truyền chức thбnh trong
Giбo Hội Cфng giбo tương tự như việc trao tбc vụ rao giảng của anh em tin
lаnh.Chức thбnh đтi hỏi giбo lэ để hiểu rх э nghĩa vа mục đнch (x.SGLGHCG số
1554- 1569, ) cũng như phải cу nghi thức riкng biệt để trao ban, chứ
khфng đơn giản như bất cứ nghi lễ thфng thường nаo kể cả nghi thức trao tбc
vụ đọc sбch vа giъp lễ . Đаnh rằng tất cả mọi cфng việc phục vụ của phу tế,
linh mục hay giбm mục đều lа những tбc vụ được nhận lгnh để thi hаnh nhвn
danh Chъa Kitф lа Đầu (in persona Capitis). Nhưng muốn thi hаnh hаnh tбc vụ
phу tế ( diaconal ministries) thм phải cу chức thбnh cấp phу tế. Muốn thi
hаnh cбc tбc vụ linh mục (priestly ministries) thм phải cу chức thбnh cấp
linh mục vа phải được giбm mục trao cho năng quyền (Faculty) để rao giảng vа
cử hаnh cбc bн tнch tức lа thi hаnh cбc tбc vụ linh mục của mмnh cбch hợp
phбp trong Giбo Hội. Như vậy, khфng phải cứ cу chức phу tế hay linh mục thм
tự động được lаm cбc tбc vụ của mмnh.Ngược lại, nếu khфng được Giбm mục ủy
nhiệm (delegated) hay bị rъt năng quyền (suspention of faculties) thм khфng
phу tế hay linh mục nаo được phйp thi hаnh bất cứ tбc vụ nаo mặc dщ cу chức
Phу tế hay Linh mục.</p>

của thừa tбc viкn (ministers) trong Giбo Hội nhвn danh Chъa Kitф (in persona
Christi). Chức thбnh lа вn sủng hay khả năng thiкng liкng đтi hỏi để thi
hаnh những tбc vụ đу. Như vậy khфng thể lẫn lộn hay đồng hoб э nghĩa của
chức thбnh vа tбc vụ.Nуi khбc đi, khфng cу Nghi thức nаo gọi lа nghi thức
trao tбc vụ Phу tế hay Linh mục trong Giбo Hội Cфng Giбo cả. Chỉ cу nghi
thức trao tбc vụ đọc sбch thбnh vа giъp lễ mа thфi. Cбc chức phу tế, Linh
mục vа Giбm mục phải được trao trong nghi thức riкng cử hаnh trong thбnh lễ
gọi lа Lễ Truyền Chức Thбnh mа giбo luật cũng như Nghi Thức phụng vụ của
Giбo Hội đг qui định rх.. Nуi sai về cбc nghi thức nаy lа tự э “phăng ra”
nghi thức riкng của mмnh, khфng phщ hợp với qui định chung của Giбo Hội.</p>
