khoảng thế kỷ VII. Khoảng triều đại của Đức Giáo hoàng Innocent III
(qua đời năm 1216), chúng ta có bốn màu chủ đạo (đỏ, trắng, đen và
xanh lá cây) và ba màu phụ (màu vàng, hồng và tím). Nhưng một tiêu
chuẩn chung cho việc sử dụng các màu khác nhau chỉ được tìm thấy vào
