thích, Phêrô và Gioan trở về cùng các anh em, và thuật lại
cho họ nghe tất cả những điều mà các thượng tế và kỳ lão đã
nói. Vừa nghe thuật lại, họ đồng thanh cất tiếng nguyện cùng
Thiên Chúa rằng: "Lạy Chúa, Chúa là Đấng tạo thành trời đất,
biển cả và mọi vật trong đó. Nhờ Thánh Thần, Chúa đã dùng
miệng tổ phụ chúng con là Đavít tôi tớ Chúa mà phán: 'Tại
sao chư dân chấn động, và các nước lại mưu đồ chuyện luống
công? Các vua thiên hạ đều nổi dậy, các thủ lãnh toa rập với
nhau chống lại Chúa và Đấng Kitô của Người'. Vì quả thật,
tại thành Giêrusalem này, Hêrôđê và Phongxiô Philatô đã liên
kết với các dân ngoại và dân Israel, mà chống lại tôi tớ
thánh của Chúa là Đức Giêsu, Đấng Chúa đã xức dầu, để thực
hiện những điều mà quyền năng và ý định Chúa đã dự liệu từ
trước. Và lạy Chúa, giờ đây, hãy xem họ đang đe doạ, và xin
ban cho các tôi tớ Chúa được đầy lòng tin tưởng rao giảng
lời Chúa, cùng xin Chúa giơ tay chữa lành các bệnh nhân, làm
những dấu lạ, và những việc phi thường nhân danh Thánh Tử

<font face="Arial">Khi ấy, trong nhóm biệt phái, có người
tên là Nicôđêmô, một đầu mục của người Do-thái. Ông đến thăm
Chúa Giêsu ban đêm và thưa rằng: "Lạy Thầy, chúng tôi nhận
biết Thầy là một vị tôn sư Thiên Chúa uỷ phái đến. Vì không
ai làm được những dấu lạ Thầy làm, nếu Thiên Chúa không ở
cùng người đó". Chúa Giêsu đáp: "Thật, Tôi bảo thật cho ông
biết, nếu không tái sinh bởi trời, thì chẳng ai được thấy
Nước Chúa". Nicôđêmô thưa Chúa rằng: "Một người đã già, làm
sao có thể tái sinh? Không lẽ người ấy lại vào lòng mẹ mà
sinh ra lần nữa sao?" Chúa Giêsu đáp: "Thật, Tôi bảo thật
cho ông biết, nếu không tái sinh bởi nước và Thánh Thần, thì
không ai được vào nước Thiên Chúa. Sự gì sinh bởi huyết
nhục, thì là huyết nhục; và sự gì sinh bởi Thần Linh, thì là
thần linh. Ông đừng ngạc nhiên vì nghe Tôi nói rằng: Các
ngươi phải tái sinh bởi trời. Gió muốn thổi đâu thì thổi,
ông nghe tiếng gió, nhưng chẳng biết gió từ đâu đến và đi
đâu: mọi kẻ sinh bởi Thần Linh cũng vậy". Đó là lời Chúa.</font></p>

<font face="Arial"><strong>Suy niệm:</strong> Đức Mẹ đang
làm gì khi sứ thần đến truyền tin? Các bộ phim về cuộc đời
Chúa Giê-su đều thuật lại sự kiện này nhưng các giải đáp đưa
ra thì không ai giống ai. Phim thì nói Mẹ đang cầu nguyện,
phim khác dàn dựng mẹ đang dệt vải hay đi múc nước. Có phim
lại mô tả thiên thần truyền tin cho Mẹ trong một đêm thanh
vắng. Nhưng dù đặt trong hoàn cảnh nào, tất cả các bộ phim
ấy đều đồng ý với thánh sử Lu-ca ở điểm này là Mẹ luôn sẵn
sàng thưa “Vâng”. Lời thưa vâng của Mẹ đã được bao hàm trong
thái độ cơ bản: <em>“tôi đây là nữ tỳ của Chúa.”</em> Nhờ
chọn lựa một vị trí như thế, Mẹ mới có thể luôn sẵn sàng đáp
lại: <em>“Xin cứ làm cho tôi như lời sứ thần nói.”</em> Dù
đang làm việc gì, Mẹ vẫn làm trong tư thế của người tôi
trung của Đấng Tối Cao. Và Mẹ vẫn trung thành đứng trong tư
thế này, cho đến tận dưới chân thập giá Chúa Ki-tô.<br>

trung của Chúa. Dù đang làm việc gì hay đang ở đâu, dù ở
trong chức vụ, bậc sống hay hoàn cảnh nào, bổn phận người
tôi trung vẫn là biết mau mắn nhận ra ý muốn của Chúa và
cũng biết mau mắn thi hành.<br>
