<font face="Arial">Khi ấy, sau khi nghe Chúa Giêsu giảng, có
nhiều người trong đám dân chúng nói rằng: "Ông này thật là
tiên tri". Kẻ khác nói: "Ông này thật là Đấng Kitô". Người
khác nữa lại nói: "Đấng Kitô xuất thân từ Galilêa sao? Nào
Kinh Thánh chẳng nói: Đấng Kitô xuất thân bởi dòng dõi
Đavit, và từ làng Bêlem, quê hương của Đavit?" Vì thế, dân
chúng bất đồng ý kiến với nhau về Người. Trong số đó, có một
ít kẻ định bắt Người, nhưng không ai dám ra tay bắt Người.
Vậy khi những người thừa hành đến với thượng tế và biệt
phái, các ông này hỏi họ rằng: "Tại sao các ngươi không điệu
nó tới?" Các người thừa hành thưa rằng: "Chẳng hề có ai nói
như người ấy". Các người biệt phái trả lời rằng: "Chớ thì
các ngươi cũng bị mê hoặc rồi sao? Trong các vị thủ lãnh và
các người biệt phái, có ai tin nó đâu? Chỉ có lũ khốn nạn đó
nó không biết gì lề luật". Nicôđêmô là người đã tới gặp Chúa
Giêsu ban đêm, cũng là người trong nhóm họ, nói với họ rằng:
"Chớ thì luật của chúng ta có lên án cho ai mà không nghe
họ, hoặc không biết rõ họ làm gì không?" Nhưng họ trả lời
rằng: "Hay ông cũng là người Galilêa? Hãy đọc kỹ Kinh Thánh,
ông sẽ thấy rằng không có tiên tri nào phát xuất từ
Galilêa". Sau đó ai về nhà nấy. Đó là lời Chúa.</font></p>

<strong>PHÂN ĐỊNH VÀ LÀM CHỨNG</strong><br>
<strong><em>“Vậy, vì Người mà dân chúng đâm ra chia rẽ. ” </em></strong>(Ga
7,43)<br>
<strong><u>Suy niệm</u>:</strong> Đúng như lời Chúa Giê-su
nói, Ngài đến <em>“không phải để đem bình an,” </em>mà là <em>“gươm
giáo và chia rẽ” </em>(x. Mt 10,34; Lc 12,51). Quả vậy, khi
bình luận về Đức Giê-su trong những lúc “trà dư tửu hậu,
người ta có đủ mọi thứ ý kiến trái chiều: có kẻ coi Ngài như
một vị tiên tri, hoặc hơn thế, là Đấng Ki-tô; kẻ khác lại
hoài nghi vì xuất thân dân dã của Ngài. Thế nhưng họ lại im
lặng vì sợ hãi trước quyền thế của <em>“các thượng tế và
người Pha-ri-sêu,”</em> “cả vú lấp miệng em”, thẳng tay “trù
dập” bất cứ ai dám lên tiếng bênh vực Đức Giê-su. Đi ngược
với số đông đó, các vệ binh dù bị mạt sát là <em>“bọn dân
đen, quân bị nguyền rủa, đui mù về Lề Luật, bị mê hoặc” </em>họ
vẫn dám làm chứng cho sự thật mà họ nhận được từ Chúa
Giê-su. Cũng thế, ông Ni-cô-đê-mô, một người thông luật,
trưng dẫn Lề Luật để biện hộ cho Đức Giê-su dù phải hứng
chịu những lời mỉa mai của những người đồng sự: <em>“Hãy về
nghiên cứu Thánh Kinh.”</em> Không chỉ nói, ông còn xuất đầu
lộ diện là môn đệ Chúa Ki-tô trong cuộc khổ nạn và mai táng
của Ngài.<br>
<strong><u>Mời Bạn</u>:</strong> Bạn có sẵn sàng nói về Đức
Ki-tô, và nhất là làm chứng rằng Ngài thật là Đấng Cứu Thế,
cho dù vì thế bạn chịu thiệt thòi, bị chế giễu, bị “trù dập”
không? Đức Giê-su có bao giờ là đề tài cho chúng ta thảo
luận để sống giống như Người chưa?<br>
<strong><u>Sống Lời Chúa</u>:</strong> Nghiền ngẫm và suy
niệm Lời Chúa hằng ngày để sẵn sàng làm chứng cho Ngài trong
cuộc sống.<br>
<strong><u>Cầu nguyện</u>:</strong><em>Lạy Chúa, giữa muôn
vàn biến cố xảy đến trong ngày, xin cho con cặp mắt đức tin
tinh tường để phân định và nhận ra sự hiện diện của Chúa và
sẵn sàng làm chứng cho Ngài.</em></font></p>
