một thị kiến rằng: "Con đừng sợ, cứ giảng dạy, chứ đừng làm thinh; vì Ta ở
cùng con, và không ai tra tay làm hại con, vì trong thành này, Ta có một dân
đông đảo". Phaolô ở lại đó một năm sáu tháng mà giảng dạy lời Chúa cho họ.</font></p>

<font face="Arial" size="3">(Đến) thời Galliô làm tổng trấn xứ Akaia, người Do-thái đồng lòng nổi lên
chống Phaolô và điệu ngài đến toà án mà thưa rằng: "Người này xui dân tôn
thờ Thiên Chúa trái luật". Phaolô toan mở miệng, thì Galliô nói với người
Do-thái rằng: "Hỡi người Do-thái, nếu quả thật là điều chi tội ác, ta sẽ có
lý mà nghe các ngươi; nhược bằng chỉ là những tranh luận về đạo lý, danh từ
và lề luật, thì các ngươi hãy liệu lấy; ta không muốn xử các việc ấy". Rồi
ông đuổi họ ra khỏi toà án. Mọi người liền bắt Sosthênê, trưởng hội đường,
và đánh đập ông ta trước toà án, thế mà Galliô cũng chẳng lưu tâm gì đến.
Còn Phaolô thì lưu lại đó nhiều ngày, rồi từ giã anh em, xuống tàu đi Syria
(với Priscilla và Aquila); tại Cenchri, ngài cạo trọc đầu, vì ngài đã khấn
như thế. Đó là lời Chúa.</font></p>

<strong>Suy niệm:</strong> Có một thời những đứa trẻ tinh nghịch thích bày
ra trò chơi quái ác là ném vỏ chuối ra lối đi khiến người qua đường đạp
phải, trượt té để rồi vui cười với nhau. Trong thời đại “a-còng” ngày nay
nhiều người thích vào mạng xã hội, tung xì-căng-đan của người khác lên
“phây” để mọi người xúm vào “ném đá”… cho vui! Cái vui theo kiểu thế gian là
vui trên đau khổ của người khác, cái vui thác loạn với những “cuộc say đầy
tháng, trận cười thâu đêm”…<br>
Chúa Giê-su mời gọi các môn đệ học cách <strong><em>vui niềm vui của Chúa</em></strong>.
Đó là dám chấp nhận <em>“khóc lóc than van” </em>trong khi thế gian vui
mừng. Nhưng Ngài cam đoan với họ rằng <em>“nỗi buồn của anh em sẽ trở thành
niềm vui.”</em></font></p>

<strong>Mời Bạn:</strong> Niềm vui của Chúa là vui vì thánh ý Chúa Cha được
thể hiện (Lc 10,21); vui vì người tội lỗi ăn năn hối cải (Lc 15,9); vui vì
người con cái Chúa <em>“đã chết mà nay lại sống, đã mất mà nay lại tìm
thấy” </em>(Lc 15,32). Để có được niềm vui ấy, Chúa đã sẵn sàng hy sinh
chính thân mình, chấp nhận gánh lấy đau khổ để đền bù tội lỗi. Nếu bạn muốn
được vui niềm vui của Chúa, bạn cũng hãy sẵn sàng cùng Chúa vác thập giá
mình để đền bù thay cho tha nhân.</font></p>

<strong><u>Suy niệm</u>:</strong> Hy vọng là động lực của cuộc sống, nói
cách khác, người đánh mất niềm hy vọng thì dù đang sống cũng như đã chết
rồi. Quả vậy, làm việc gì, ai cũng mong đợi thành công, nhắm tới một kết quả
tốt đẹp: người nông dân chờ mùa bội thu, kẻ buôn bán chờ lợi tức, mẹ cha
mong con cái nên người và thành đạt… Đạt được điều mình hy vọng là đem lại
niềm vui. Niềm hy vọng trong đời sống thiêng liêng không chỉ là điều mình
mong ước sẽ đến trong tương lai, mà là điều chắc chắn sẽ xảy đến vì Chúa đã
hứa như vậy. Chính niềm hy vọng này giúp những người tin Chúa có đủ can đảm
và sức mạnh để lướt thắng mọi thử thách để đạt được hạnh phúc vĩnh hằng.
Niềm hy vọng của tín hữu không ở đâu khác, mà là chính Thiên Chúa. Thiên
Chúa là Niềm Hy Vọng của các môn đệ, là động lực, là chỗ dựa vững chắc nhất
và là niềm vui của người Ki-tô hữu. Niềm vui này không ai lấy mất được một
khi người tín hữu đặt trọn niềm cậy trông vào Chúa. Đối với Ki-tô hữu, sống
niềm hy vọng ấy là sống nhân đức Cậy.</font></p>
