<strong>Suy niệm:</strong> Yêu Chúa hết lòng, hết linh hồn,
hết trí khôn, hết sức lực, nghĩa là yêu Chúa với tất cả con
người của mình, trong mọi thời gian của ngày sống, ở mọi nơi
mình đi qua, với mức độ cao nhất của mình. Chúng ta có giật
mình khi nghe Chúa nhắc lại điều răn trọng nhất này không?
Phải chăng ta chỉ dành cho Chúa một số thời gian hạn hẹp nào
đó: một giờ thánh lễ ngày Chúa nhật hay dịp lễ đặc biệt, một
vài việc đạo đức mỗi ngày? Ta cũng thường giới hạn tình yêu
dành cho Chúa ở một số nơi nào đó: nhà thờ, nơi làm công tác
tông đồ, nơi hội họp…<br>
Ngoài những khoảnh khắc và nơi chốn đó, ta quên Ngài, mà chỉ
sống theo thói đời, mà quên mất rằng tình yêu mến ấy phải là
sợi chỉ đỏ xuyên suốt toàn bộ cuộc sống ta, chi phối mọi suy
nghĩ, mơ ước, ứng xử, và cách làm việc của ta.</font></p>

<strong><em>“Điều răn đứng đầu là: Nghe đây, hỡi Ít-ra-en,
Đức Chúa, Thiên Chúa chúng ta, là Đức Chúa duy nhất. Ngươi
phải yêu mến Đức Chúa, Thiên Chúa của ngươi, hết lòng, hết
linh hồn, hết trí khôn và hết sức lực ngươi.”</em></strong>(Mc
12,30)<br>
<strong><u>Suy niệm</u>:</strong> Tình yêu không phải là của
cải vật chất để con người có thể cân, đo, đong, đếm được.
Không ai có thể nói với người mình yêu rằng anh (em) yêu em
(anh) như thế là đủ rồi! Khi nhận thấy người mình yêu là
đáng yêu thì người ta tìm mọi cách để yêu và yêu hết mức có
thể. Chúa là Đấng chân thiện mỹ, Đấng đáng yêu hơn bất cứ
thụ tạo nào. Do đó, tình yêu dành cho Chúa là tình yêu tuyệt
đối. Đức Giê-su đòi hỏi chúng ta: “<em>Ngươi phải yêu mến
Đức Chúa, Thiên Chúa của ngươi, hết lòng, hết linh hồn, hết
trí khôn và hết sức lực ngươi.” </em>Yêu Chúa tới mức “hết”
là yêu bằng tất cả con người của mình và không giới hạn, hay
nói như thánh Bê-na-đô: <em>“mức độ của tình yêu Thiên Chúa
là tình yêu không mức độ.”</em><br>
<strong><u>Mời Bạn</u>:</strong> Thiên Chúa đã yêu ta bởi
lòng thương xót của Người. Tình yêu của Chúa quá bao la hải
hà như nắng, như mưa. Con người nhận được tình yêu của Chúa
thì cần tỏ lòng biết ơn, bằng cách yêu lại Chúa. Nhưng trái
tim con người quá nhỏ bé, không thể yêu Chúa cho xứng. Để
chứng minh tình yêu của mình đối với Thiên Chúa, con người
chỉ còn cách yêu Ngài đến cùng.<br>
<strong><u>Sống Lời Chúa</u>:</strong> Tình yêu đáp đền tình
yêu. Nhớ tới tình yêu lớn lao Chúa dành cho mình, để đáp lại
bằng một tình yêu hết mức có thể.</font></p>
