<font face="Arial">Anh em thân mến, máu bò và dê đực không thể xoá được tội
lỗi. Vì thế, khi đến trong thế gian, Chúa Giêsu phán: "Chúa
đã không muốn hy tế và của lễ hiến dâng, nhưng đã tạo nên
cho con một thể xác. Chúa không nhận của lễ toàn thiêu và
của lễ đền tội. Nên con nói: Lạy Chúa, này con đến để thi
hành thánh ý Chúa, như đã nói về con ở đoạn đầu cuốn sách.
Sách ấy bắt đầu như thế này: Của lễ hy tế, của lễ hiến dâng,
của lễ toàn thiêu và của lễ đền tội, Chúa không muốn cũng
không nhận, mặc dầu được hiến dâng theo lề luật". Đoạn Người
nói tiếp: "Lạy Chúa, này con đến để thi hành thánh ý Chúa".
Như thế đã bãi bỏ điều trước để thiết lập điều sau, chính
bởi thánh ý đó mà chúng ta được thánh hoá nhờ việc hiến dâng
Mình Chúa Giêsu Kitô một lần là đủ. Đó là lời Chúa.</font></p>

<strong>Suy niệm:</strong> Sống một cuộc đời khiêm hạ, đơn
sơ và ý thức rõ thân phận nữ tỳ của mình, Đức Ma-ri-a không
bao giờ ước mong, cũng chẳng nghĩ mình sẽ được <em>“diễm
phúc hơn mọi người phụ nữ”</em> như thế. Do đó, khi nghe lời
sứ thần chào: “<em>Mừng vui lên, hỡi Đấng đầy ân sủng, Đức
Chúa ở cùng bà</em>”, Đức Ma-ri-a đã thật sự ngạc nhiên và
bối rối. Nhưng khi Mẹ nhận ra rằng tất cả <em>“những</em> <em>điều
cao cả” </em>ấylà hành động của <em>“lòng thương xót Chúa
dành cho những ai kính sợ Người”</em> thì sự bối rối ngạc
nhiên của Mẹ đã mau chóng chuyển thành lời cảm tạ ngợi
khen: <em>“Linh hồn tôi ngợi khen Đức Chúa… vì Thiên Chúa,
Đấng cứu độ tôi” </em>(x. Lc 1,46-55).<br>

Đức Ma-ri-a, cũng là lòng thương xót Chúa thực hiện cho dân
của Người. Như lời Đức Ma-ri-a hát: “<em>Vì Người nhớ lại

Áp-ra-ham, qua Đức Ma-ri-a, Chúa thực hiện lòng thương xót
bằng cách ban cho chúng ta Đấng Cứu Thế. Ngẫm nghĩ điều này
ắt hẳn chúng ta sẽ biết ngạc nhiên hơn về lòng thương xót
của Chúa đối với chúng ta.<br>
