hoàng vì lâm nguy, nên tìm nương tựa nơi Chúa. Bà nài xin
Chúa là Thiên Chúa Israel rằng: "Lạy Chúa con, chỉ mình Chúa
là Vua chúng con, xin cứu giúp con đang sống cô độc, ngoài
Chúa không có ai khác giúp đỡ con. Con đang lâm cơn nguy
biến. Lạy Chúa, con nghe cha con nói rằng Chúa ưu đãi Israel

lặp lại hiệu quả của lời cầu nguyện, Chúa Giê-su bảo đảm
việc nhận được ơn Chúa ban không còn là chuyện tương lai, mà
là điều hiện thực; vì hễ ai cầu xin thì chắc chắn Thiên Chúa
sẽ ban cho những điều tốt lành. Thiên Chúa thực hiện lời
Ngài hứa ngay khi chúng ta cầu xin Ngài. Không phải đợi
chúng ta nhắc Thiên Chúa mới nhớ đến lòng trung tín của
Ngài, bởi Ngài luôn luôn là Đấng trung tín; nhưng mỗi khi
chúng ta cầu xin và tin tưởng Thiên Chúa thực hiện điều Ngài
hứa, là chúng ta nhớ đến lòng yêu thương của Thiên Chúa dành
cho chúng ta, lòng yêu thương khiến Ngài sẵn sàng ban cho
chúng ta những điều thiện hảo, nhờ đó, chúng ta ngày càng
tin tưởng vào Lời Chúa hơn.</font></p>

<font face="Arial"><strong>Suy niệm:</strong> Chúng ta bị
ảnh hưởng bởi cơ chế <em>xin-cho</em> ngoài xã hội, nên
trong lãnh vực tôn giáo, nhiều lúc đâm ra nghi ngờ: Xin gì?
Điều này có đáng xin không? Xin với ai? Liệu có được không?
Chúa Giêsu dạy ta khác: “<em>Cứ xin, cứ tìm, cứ gõ,</em>” và
kết quả là: “<em>sẽ được, sẽ thấy, sẽ được mở cho</em>”; bởi
vì Đấng mà ta khấn xin là <strong>Chúa</strong>, hơn thế
nữa, là <strong>Cha</strong> ta. Chúa nói với ta cầu nguyện
không phải với quan hệ <em>trên-dưới, có quyền-không có
quyền</em>, <em>cho-không cho..., </em>mà là trong quan hệ
thân thiết <em>cha-con.</em> Ngài chỉ mong chúng ta cầu
nguyện với cả tấm lòng, với trọn niềm tín thác.</font></p>

<font face="Arial"><strong>Suy niệm:</strong> Có nhiều người
vẫn bức xúc tại sao có nhiều điều tôi xin mãi mà không được?
Phải chăng Chúa Giêsu cho tôi ăn bánh vẽ khi Ngài nói <em>“Cứ
xin thì sẽ được”</em>? Thật ra, Chúa đâu có nói cứ xin gì là
được nấy. Câu nói của Chúa ngay sau đó đã nêu rõ ý Ngài muốn
nói: Hãy kiên trì trong lời cầu xin, phần Thiên Chúa, Ngài
sẽ ban cho ta điều thực sự là tốt đẹp nhất cho chúng ta. Và
điều tốt đẹp nhất Ngài ban cho chúng ta chính là Thánh Thần,
nguồn mạch mọi ơn lành (x. Lc 11,13).</font></p>

kinh nghiệm nhân loại chúng ta cũng thấy lắm khi những điều
mình muốn lại không phải là điều tốt nhất, nhất là tốt theo
thánh ý Chúa. Ăn thật nhiều chưa chắc đã là tốt vì có khi
lại gây ra những chứng bệnh khác như béo phì, dư mỡ, dư
đạm…. Chúng ta xin được sống lâu, được lắm tiền nhiều của,
nhưng chưa hẳn điều đó là tốt nhất cho hạnh phúc đời đời của
chúng ta. Bởi đó, chúng ta cứ xin nhưng thay vì xin như ý
mình, chúng ta hãy xin như ý Chúa muốn và Ngài sẽ ban cho
chúng ta điều tốt nhất.</font></p>
