<font face="Arial"><strong><u>Suy niệm</u>:</strong> Cha
Anthony de Mello giảng về việc cầu nguyện, ngài nói cầu
nguyện chính là “đốt lửa”, theo nghĩa là “yêu thương”; không
có “lửa” thì không có cầu nguyện gì cả, dù người ta có cả
núi lời hay ý đẹp. Còn thánh Têrêsa Avila, được tôn vinh là
bậc thầy cầu nguyện, xác nhận rằng cầu nguyện là sống tình
bạn với Chúa, rằng cầu nguyện hệ tại ở tâm tình chứ không ở
các ý tưởng.<br>
Quả thật, những cách diễn đạt trên chung qui là vọng lại
nghệ thuật cầu nguyện của chính vị “vạn thế sư biểu” là Chúa
Giê-su: <em>“Khi cầu nguyện, anh em đừng lải nhải như dân
ngoại; họ nghĩ rằng cứ nói nhiều là được nhận lời…”</em> Chúa
chủ trương ‘quí hồ tinh bất quí hồ đa’! Và tất cả tâm tình
tinh túy để cầu nguyện được kết đọng trong Kinh Lạy Cha do
chính Chúa dạy.</font></p>

vẫn thường cầu nguyện. Thế nhưng cầu nguyện dễ hay khó? Cầu
nguyện có phải chỉ là đọc hết kinh này đến kinh kia? Có chắc
chúng ta luôn cầu nguyện với ‘phẩm chất hảo hạng’? Khi dạy
cầu nguyện, Chúa Giê-su đã dạy kinh Lạy Cha. Kinh Lạy Cha
chỉ có một, nhưng chất lượng của lời kinh đó trên môi miệng
ta thì ‘thượng vàng hạ cám’. Nhiều khi đúng là ta chỉ “lải
nhải”, phải không? Bạn hãy thử, có thể ngay lúc này, lắng
hồn xuống và cầu nguyện bằng Kinh Lạy Cha với tất cả tâm
tình. Một kinh nghiệm thú vị đó.</font></p>

dịp lễ hội, nhất là dịp Tết Nguyên đán người ta tuôn đến các
đền chùa, hết chùa Hương lại đền Trần, đền bà chúa Kho…,
chen lấn nhau khấn vái trong cảnh khói hương nghi ngút, cố
nhét cho được tiền vào tay các tượng… và bao cảnh nhếch nhác
khác mà báo chí năm nào cũng tường thuật. Chúa Giêsu dạy cầu
nguyện nhưng đừng cầu nguyện như thế. Người Kitô hữu tin vào
một Thiên Chúa duy nhất, nên không phải chạy ngược xuôi đến
với thần này hay thần khác. Tin tưởng và khẩn cầu chỉ một
mình Thiên Chúa là nét độc đáo trong lối cầu nguyện Chúa
Kitô dạy, vì chỉ một mình Thiên Chúa là nguồn mạch mọi ơn
lành có thể đáp lại lời khẩn nguyện của chúng ta mà thôi.

<font face="Arial"><strong>Suy niệm:</strong> Cầu nguyện là
hơi thở, là lẽ sống của người môn đệ Chúa. Thế nhưng, phải
sau một thời gian dài đi theo Chúa, các môn đệ mới được Ngài
dạy cho biết cách cầu nguyện. Phải chăng là hơi muộn? Song
Ngài làm thế là để các môn đệ không theo lối cầu nguyện rập
khuôn, hình thức sáo rỗng, <em>lải nhải nhiều lời, </em>mà
trái lại Ngài muốn họ ở lại với Ngài, sống với Ngài, để họ
cảm nghiệm được mối tương quan thân tình giữa Ngài với Chúa
Cha, hiểu được lương thực của Thầy là làm theo ý Cha và sứ
mạng của Thầy là làm vinh danh Cha. Bởi thế, Chúa Giê-su nói
thật rõ ràng: cầu nguyện là như Ngài thưa chuyện cùng Cha,
là làm cho danh Cha được vinh hiển, là tôn vinh Cha, là vui
lòng trở nên dụng cụ hữu hiệu trong bàn tay quan phòng của
Ngài.<br>

thời gian đặc biệt nhắc các tín hữu nhớ cầu nguyện phải đi
đôi với việc ăn chay và bố thí, để sống thật đậm đà lòng
khao khát được yêu mến Chúa, nỗi thao thức ước mong Chúa
được tôn vinh. Bạn đã đi vào tâm tình ấy chưa? Như thế, bạn
đâu cần phải xin Chúa có của ăn của để, vì Chúa là <em>Đấng
thấu suốt những gì kín ẩn,</em> Ngài biết rõ bạn cần gì
trước khi bạn cầu xin. Vậy bạn hãy cầu nguyện đi, như Chúa
Ki-tô đã dạy chúng ta.<br>
