tội ác loài người lan tràn trên mặt đất, mọi tư tưởng trong
lòng đều luôn luôn hướng về đàng xấu, nên Chúa lấy làm tiếc
vì đã tạo dựng loài người trên mặt đất, Người đau lòng mà
nói: "Ta sẽ huỷ diệt khỏi mặt đất loài người mà Ta đã dựng
nên, từ loài người đến loài vật, từ rắn rết đến chim trời,

<strong><u>Suy niệm</u>:</strong> “Thù trong” thường đáng sợ
hơn “giặc ngoài”. Nói vậy, không có nghĩa “giặc ngoài” không
đáng lo. Chúa Giê-su không chỉ kêu gọi gìn giữ tâm hồn ngay
chính, Ngài còn nhắc nhở các môn đệ phải coi chừng cả những
ảnh hưởng xấu của nhóm Pha-ri-sêu và Hê-rô-đê, ấy là sự xơ
cứng lương tâm. Sau khi chứng kiến phép lạ Chúa chữa người
bại tay, nhóm Pha-ri-sêu không tin quyền năng của Ngài thì
chớ, lại còn tìm cách giết Ngài (Mc 3,5). Còn Hê-rô-đê và
thuộc hạ của ông, sau khi nghe biết những phép lạ Chúa
Giê-su làm, đã không tin nhận Ngài, và cho rằng Ngài là
Gioan Tẩy Giả sống lại (Mc 6,16). Sự xơ cứng lương tâm đưa
con người đến chỗ “dị ứng” với điều tốt, và thản nhiên với
điều xấu, và tệ hơn nữa, tìm cách hủy diệt sự thật, công
bằng và tình thương. Thánh giáo hoàng Gio-an Phao-lô II gọi
đó là “nền văn minh sự chết.” Loại men “sự chết” này đang
lăm le làm dậy lên một thế giới của “sự chết” trong thời đại
hôm nay.</p>
