trời đất, thì chưa có bụi cây nào mọc ngoài đồng, không có một cây rau cỏ
nào nẩy mầm ngoài đồng ruộng, vì Chúa là Thiên Chúa chưa cho mưa rơi xuống
đất, và chưa có người để trồng trọt, nhưng lúc đó mạch nước từ đất vọt lên,
tưới khắp mặt đất. Vậy Thiên Chúa lấy bùn đất nắn thành con người, thổi sinh

về phía đông và đặt vào đó con người mà Ngài đã dựng nên. Thiên Chúa cho từ
đất mọc lên mọi thứ cây trông đẹp, ăn ngon, với cây sự sống ở giữa vườn, và

nhưng chớ ăn trái cây biết lành dữ, vì ngày nào ngươi ăn nó, ngươi sẽ phải

các môn đệ hỏi Người về ý nghĩa dụ ngôn ấy. Người liền bảo các ông: "Các con

tất cả những gì từ bên ngoài vào trong con người không thể làm cho người ta

người, trộm cắp, tham lam, độc ác, xảo trá, lăng loàn, ganh tị, vu khống,

<strong><u>Suy niệm</u>:</strong> Chiến tranh, khủng bố, giết người, cướp
của, ly dị, phá thai,… không phải là chuyện “bên lề” hay bên ngoài đối với
con người, nhưng chúng là hậu quả của lòng ham muốn của cải, quyền lực và
nhục dục từ trong con người. Lòng độc dữ của con người là nguyên nhân phát
sinh mọi thứ tội ác và nỗi khổ của con người. Nói cách khác, thay vì làm
khởi sắc linh hồn là hình ảnh của Thiên Chúa, con người bóp méo bôi nhọ hình
ảnh cao quý đó bằng các ý hướng xấu xa bên trong mình. Thiên Chúa là Đấng
thấu suốt bên trong, Đấng thích tâm hồn đơn thành hơn của lễ, Ngài đòi buộc
mọi người nhìn tận sâu thẳm tâm hồn để nhận diện chính mình để Ngài biến đổi
con người chúng ta từ bên trong. Ngài thay đổi cuộc đời của Phê-rô bằng cái
nhìn thấu suốt, khiến Phê-rô hối hận và trở lại với Chúa; làm biến đổi
Gia-kêu tận bên trong khiến Gia-kêu dám từ bỏ cuộc sống tội lỗi để trở nên
người lành thánh. Nếu mọi điều xấu xa xuất phát từ lòng người, thì con người
cũng cần được Thiên Chúa biến đổi từ bên trong.</p>
