Thượng tế thánh thiện, vô tội, tinh tuyền, tách biệt khỏi kẻ tội lỗi và đã
được nâng cao trên các tầng trời. Người không cần phải như các tư tế hằng
ngày dâng của lễ, trước là đền tội lỗi mình, sau là đền tội lỗi dân chúng,
vì Người làm việc ấy chỉ có một lần khi hiến dâng chính Mình. Vì Lề luật thì
đặt những người yếu đuối làm tư tế, còn lời thề có sau Lề luật, thì đặt
Người Con hoàn hảo làm thượng tế đến muôn đời.</font></p>

<font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Điểm chính yếu về các điều đang đề
cập đến là: chúng ta có một Thượng tế như thế ngự bên hữu Đấng Tối Cao trên
trời, với tư cách là chủ tế trong đền thờ, và trong nhà tạm chân thật mà
Chúa - chứ không phải người phàm - đã dựng nên. Quả thật, mọi thượng tế được
đặt lên là để hiến dâng lễ vật và hy tế, vì thế, vị thượng tế này cần phải
có gì để hiến dâng. Vậy nếu Người còn ở trần gian, thì Người cũng không phải
là tư tế, vì đã có những người phụ trách hiến dâng của lễ theo lề luật. Việc
phượng tự mà họ làm chỉ là hình bóng những thực tại trên trời, như lời đã
phán cùng Môsê khi ông sắp dựng nhà tạm rằng: Chúa phán: "Ngươi hãy xem,
ngươi sẽ làm mọi sự theo mẫu Ta đã chỉ cho ngươi trên núi". Hiện giờ vị
Thượng tế của chúng ta đã lãnh một chức vụ cao trọng hơn, bởi vì Người là
Đấng trung gian của một giao ước tốt hơn, mà giao ước ấy được thiết lập trên
những lời hứa rất tốt lành. Đó là lời Chúa.</font></p>

<strong>Suy niệm:</strong> Nhiều danh thủ, siêu sao thế giới hết sức bất ngờ
vì độ “cuồng” mà người hâm mộ Việt Nam dành cho họ khi họ đến thăm đất nước
này. Từng đoàn người đông đảo chờ đợi tại sân bay tới tận nửa đêm để đón
thần tượng của mình; có người còn khóc ròng vì không thể xin được chữ ký của
họ. Đó chỉ là một số dấu chỉ nhẹ nhàng của hội chứng cuồng thần tượng mà nếu
không tỉnh táo, có thể dẫn đến những sai lệch về nhận thức và về chính bản
thân. Tin Mừng hôm nay thuật lại việc đám đông lũ lượt tìm đến Chúa Giê-su.
Ngài không cho họ chữ ký kỷ niệm; trái lại, Ngài chữa lành họ không chỉ tật
bệnh phần xác mà còn phục hồi cho họ điều cao quý nhất đó là phẩm giá của
người con cái Chúa.</p>

<strong>Mời Bạn:</strong> Theo Chúa mà chỉ để tìm kiếm những lợi lộc vật
chất sẽ dẫn đến những lệch lạc trong mối tương quan với Thiên Chúa, khiến
niềm tin đích thực bị xói mòn và biến thành một thứ thờ ngẫu tượng như ngày
xưa dân Ít-ra-en từ bỏ Thiên Chúa và đặt ra một thứ ngẫu tượng để thờ lạy.
Khi dạy chúng ta cầu nguyện, Chúa Giê-su cũng nói chúng ta cầu xin cho các
nhu cầu vật chất, nhưng trước tiên Chúa dạy chúng ta hãy xin cho “Nước Chúa
trị đến”, rồi những sự khác Chúa cũng sẽ ban cho.</p>
