bánh và hai con cá". Người ra lệnh cho họ bảo mọi người ngồi xuống làm thành
từng nhóm trên cỏ xanh. Họ ngồi xuống từng nhóm, chỗ một trăm, chỗ năm mươi.
Người cầm năm cái bánh và hai con cá, ngước mắt lên trời mà chúc tụng, rồi
bẻ bánh ra và trao cho các môn đệ, để họ phân phát cho người ta; còn hai con
cá, Người cũng chia cho mọi người. Và tất cả đều ăn no. Mụn bánh và cá còn
dư lại, người ta lượm được mười hai thúng đầy. Mà số người ăn là năm ngàn

<strong>Suy niệm:</strong> Dù Thầy đã ra lệnh: <em>“Anh em hãy cho họ ăn</em>,”
các môn đệ vẫn cảm thấy lực bất tòng tâm, nên tìm cách thoái thác với những
lý do thật chính đáng: dân chúng quá đông (hơn năm ngàn người đàn ông), rồi <em>“trời
tối rồi; nơi đây vắng vẻ; hãy để họ vô các làng mạc xung quanh” </em>(c.
35); hay <em>“phải mua đến hai trăm quan tiền bánh ...”</em> Cũng vây, đứng
trước khó khăn, chúng ta hay có những suy nghĩ theo kiểu “bó tay”: <em>con
đâu đủ sức; con quá khó khăn; còn phải kiếm cơm...</em> mà quên rằng Chúa
chỉ cần chúng ta dâng cho Ngài <em>hạt cải, hạt muối, nắm men, năm cái bánh,
hai con cá... </em>chừng ấy cũng đã đủ để Chúa nuôi sống con người, đủ để
giúp ta vượt qua mọi nghịch cảnh của cuộc đời.</p>

<strong>Mời Bạn:</strong> Chúng ta thường hay đòi hỏi điều kiện <em>“ắt có
và đủ”</em> như thời giờ, khả năng, kinh tế... rồi mới dấn thân hoạt động
tông đồ. Mời bạn và tôi hãy thay đổi lối suy nghĩ: tránh tất cả các ý nghĩ
tiêu cực cản trở lời mời gọi dấn thân, nhưng hãy đặt vấn đề cách tích cực:
“Với những khả năng hiện có, tôi có thể làm gì cụ thể để góp phần xây dựng

<strong><u>Suy niệm</u>:</strong> Giải pháp của các tông đồ để dân ra về tự
lo ăn uống xem ra hợp lý, nhưng Chúa Giêsu đề ra cho các tông đồ một giải
pháp có trách nhiệm hơn: <em>“Chính anh em hãy cho họ ăn đi!”</em> Qua yêu
cầu này, Ngài muốn Giáo Hội của Ngài dám đảm nhận trách nhiệm của mình trước
khổ đau của con người thay vì viện lý do để thoái thác. Đáp lại lời mời gọi
này, qua các thời đại, biết bao nhiêu con cái của Giáo Hội, đã dấn thân đem
tình yêu của Chúa chia sẻ cho những người nghèo và đau khổ bằng nhiều hoạt
động và trong nhiều dòng tu hay tổ chức giáo dân khác nhau.</p>
