một người hay cả hai người là tín hữu Công giáo thì phép cưới
phải theo đúng thủ tục của Giáo Luật mới thành sự. Bình thường
phải được cử hành trong nhà thờ với sự chứng kiến của linh mục,
phó tế có năng quyền chứng hôn, và trước mặt hai nhân chứng. Còn
các phép cưới dân sự chỉ có hiệu lực dân sự, Giáo Hội không coi
đó là phép hôn phối thành sự. Do đó, không hay chưa được phép ăn
ở với nhau như vợ chồng cho tới khi có phép đạo tử tế.</span></font></td>
