Người Công giáo chỉ có thể lấy người ngoài Công giáo với phép
chuẩn (nếu người ngoài Công giáo đó chưa rửa tội) hay với phép
(nếu người ấy là người đã chịu phép rửa thành sự) của Toà Giám
Mục với điều kiện là: </span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-top: 6px; margin-bottom: 0">
<font face="Times New Roman"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt">1.
Bên công giáo phải tuyên bố sẵn sàng xa tránh mọi nguy cơ làm
tổn thất Ðức Tin, và hứa thành thật sẽ làm hết mọi sự có thể để
con cái được rửa tội và giáo dục trong Giáo Hội công giáo.</span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; margin-top: 6px; margin-bottom: 0">
<font face="Times New Roman"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt">2.
Vào lúc thuận lợi, phải cho bên kia biết những lời hứa mà người
công giáo phải giữ, để chính họ được thực sự ý thức về lời hứa
và bổn phận của bên công giáo (xem GL điều 1125).</span></font></p>
