Chúng ta, những tín hữu, chỉ có thể tôn thờ một Con Người như
thế vì chúng ta là "tín hữu" tức là những người có đức tin.
Chúng ta không tôn thờ bất cứ người nào "chết trần trên thập
giá" mà chỉ tôn thờ một Đấng mà chúng ta biết Ngài là Ngôi Hai
Thiên Chúa đã nhập thể làm người và chết để cứu chúng ta. Chúng
ta tin Đấng ấy là Thiên Chúa toàn năng, Ngài đã bị giết chết vì
Ngài cho phép xẩy ra chứ không phải vì bất lực. Ngài chết và đã
phục sinh để mạc khải cho ta biết quyền năng thắng phục sự chết
của Ngài.</font></span></p>

Thánh Phaolô cũng đã từng nói với chúng ta: "Trong khi người
Do-thái đòi hỏi những điềm thiêng dấu lạ, còn người Hy-lạp tìm
kiếm lẽ khôn ngoan, thì chúng tôi lại rao giảng một Đấng Kitô bị
đóng đinh, điều mà người Do-thái cho là ô nhục không thể chấp
nhận, và dân ngoại cho là điên rồ. Nhưng đối với những ai được
Thiên Chúa kêu gọi, dù là Do-thái hay Hy-lạp, Đấng ấy chính là
Đức Kitô, sức mạnh và sự khôn ngoan của Thiên Chúa..." (I Cor
1:22-24). Chỉ với niềm tin chúng ta mới có thể tôn thờ một Đấng
như thế.</font></span></td>
