<span style="font-size: 12.0pt">Chúng tôi xin được nhắc lại
những qui định của Giáo Hội về vấn đề ân xá trong Giáo Luật:
</span></font></p>
<p style="margin-top:3.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:3.0pt;margin-left:
0in;text-indent:10.0pt"><font face="Times New Roman"><b>“</b><i>Ðiều 992: Ân xá
là sự tháo giải trước mặt Chúa các hình phạt thế tạm vì các tội
lỗi đã được xóa bỏ. Người tín hữu dọn mình xứng đáng và thi hành
ít nhiều điều kiện đã chỉ định thì được hưởng ơn tha thứ ấy nhờ
sự trung gian của Giáo Hội. Với tư cách thừa tác viên ơn cứu
chuộc, Giáo Hội dùng quyền phân phát và áp dụng kho tàng đền tạ
của Chúa Kitô và các Thánh.</i></font></p>
<p style="margin-top:3.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:3.0pt;margin-left:
0in;text-indent:10.0pt"><font face="Times New Roman"><i>Ðiều 993: Ân xá là toàn
phần hay từng phần, tùy theo sự giải thoát hình phạt thế tạm vì
tội lỗi là hoàn toàn hay chỉ một phần.</i></font></p>
<p style="margin-top:3.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:3.0pt;margin-left:
0in;text-indent:10.0pt"><font face="Times New Roman"><i>Ðiều 994: Mọi tín hữu
đều có thể hưởng ân xá toàn phần hay từng phần, hoặc cho chính
mình hoặc để chuyển cầu cho những người đã qua đời</i>.”</font></p>
<p style="margin-top:3.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:3.0pt;margin-left:
0in;text-indent:10.0pt"><font face="Times New Roman">Như vậy, chúng ta nên hiểu,
ân xá chỉ là việc tha hình phạt tạm <i>(đối ngược với hình phạt
vĩnh viễn phải chịu trong hỏa ngục)</i> chứ không phải là việc
tha tội. Và chỉ có hai loại ân xá: Phần xá <i>(tha môt phần)</i>,
và Toàn xá hay Đại xá <i>(tha toàn bộ hình phạt tạm)</i>. Toàn
xá hay Đại xá cũng giống nhau không có gì khác biệt.</font></td>
