Khả năng truyền sinh trong hôn nhân là tặng ân vô giá Chúa ban
cho con người. Sinh sản là một trong hai mục đích chính yếu của
hôn nhân. Một con trẻ không phải là một sản phẩm từ bên ngoài,
nhưng được phát sinh từ trọng tâm của sự trao tặng hỗ tương
giữa vợ chồng. Họ phải nhìn nhận việc truyền sinh là một sứ mệnh
cộng tác với Đấng Tạo Hóa để sinh sản và giáo dục những con
người. Họ phải thực thi sứ mệnh này trong tinh thần trách nhiệm
Kitô giáo. Vì tinh thần trách nhiệm nên có trường hợp cũng phải
“<u><i>kế họach hóa”</i></u> gia đình, điều chỉnh số con cái hay
khỏang cách hợp lý giữa các con được sinh ra. Nhưng họ phải sử
dụng những <u>phương pháp phù hợp với các tiêu chuẩn luân lý
khách quan.</u> Việc đặt vòng xoắn tránh thai là một phương
pháp ngừa thai “nhân tạo” <u>không </u>phù hợp với tiêu chuẩn
luân lý, nói cách khác, là một việc <u>có tội, một hành vi xấu
dữ nội tại </u>(intrinsically evil) (<i>xem GLCG 2370)</i>.</font></td>
