Chị Mai Lê thân mến, cám ơn chị đã nêu lên thắc mắc của chị cũng
như của nhiều bạn bè khác về vấn đề ngừa thai. Theo Giáo Lý Công
Giáo, “<i>sự tiết dục từng thời kỳ, những phương pháp điều hòa
sinh sản dựa trên sự tự chế, hoặc dựa vào những thời gian không
thể thụ thai, được coi là phù hợp với những tiêu chuẩn khách
quan của luân lý. Các phương pháp này tôn trọng thân thể của hai
vợ chồng, khuyến khích sự âu yếm nhau và giúp cho việc giáo dục
một sự tự do đích thực. Trái lại, phải coi là xấu tự bản chất nó
‘bất cứ hành động nào , hoặc trước, hoặc đang khi diễn ra hành
vi phu phụ, hoặc trong những phát triển tự nhiên của hành vi này
sau đó, nhằm làm cho không thể có sự sinh sản</i>’” (GLCG 2370).</span></p>

Do đó chỉ có phương pháp tránh thai tự nhiên mới hợp pháp.
Phương pháp này là phương pháp kiêng giao hợp trong thời kỳ thụ
tinh. Đây là phương pháp không cần dùng đến thuốc, hoá chất dụng
cụ gì cả. Phương pháp nầy cần quan sát cơ thể người nữ để có thể
biết thời kỳ có khả năng thụ tinh và không thụ tinh. Phương pháp
nầy đòi phải kiêng giao hợp trong thời kỳ có thể thụ tinh.

Tất cả các phương pháp tránh thai không tự nhiên đều phải kể là
bất hợp pháp.</span></p>

2/ <u>Phương pháp có thể diệt phôi thai</u></span></p>

Vòng tránh thai IUD làm thay đổi chất nước nhầy ở cổ tử cung
hay ngăn cản trứng thụ tinh không cấy vào màng nhầy được (diệt

Thuốc ngày hôm sau (Postinor) có thể ngăn cản thụ tinh những
