nhi trong dạ mẹ là những con người do đó trong trường hợp
xẩy thai hay nguy tử cũng cần phải rửa tội cho các thai nhi,
hoặc tuyệt đối khi biết chắc còn sống, hoặc rửa tội hồ nghi
khi không chắc thai nhi còn sống. Cách thức rửa tội nếu khi
thai đã ra ngoài mà còn trong bọc thì dúng cả bọc vào trong
nước ấm và xé bọc để nước có thể chạm tới thai nhi và đồng
thời đọc công thức rửa tội theo thường lệ. Nếu hồ nghi thì
đọc: “nếu con còn sống, ta rửa con nhân Danh Cha và Con và
Thánh Thần.”</span></font></li>

<span style="font-size: 12.0pt">Việc rửa tội thiêng liêng đó
là thực hành đạo đức và trông cậy phó thác cho lòng thương
xót của Thiên Chúa. Việc này không thay thế việc rửa tội bề
ngoài một cách pháp lý.</span></font></li>
