<font face="Times New Roman">Thưa cha, con là giáo dân giáo xứ
Tâm Hoà, thuộc giáo phận Xuân Lộc (Đồng Nai) nhưng đang sống và
làm việc ở Sài Gòn. Năm nay con 23t (1989). Chúng con dự định
kết hôn vào cuối năm nay. Vợ con không theo đạo gì, nhưng cũng
không thể theo đạo con... Cả 2 gia đình đều đồng ý làm phép
chuẩn. Sau này chúng con định tổ chức hôn lễ. Vậy con xin hỏi
các ý sau: 1/ Có quy định độ tuổi của nam và nữ được làm phép
chuẩn (con nghe nói ở giáo họ thì không nhưng ở giáo xứ thì quy
định nam đủ 28 tuổi vậy có đúng không)? 2/ Mỗi giáo phận có quy
định khác nhau hay thống nhất trong cả nước về qui trình, thủ
tục để được ban phép chuẩn. Con cảm ơn và mong sớm nhận được
giải đáp của cha. </font></span></p>

Theo luật chung của Giáo Hội không ấn định cỡ tuổi bao nhiêu thì
được xin phép chuẩn. Tuy nhiên các Giáo Hội địa phương có thể có
những quy định riêng trong việc ban những phép chuẩn này. Việc
cho phép chuẩn chính là sự miễn chuẩn một ngăn trở hôn phối,
trong trường hợp thông thường, Tòa Giám Mục được phép miễn chuẩn
những trường hợp đã được luật của Giáo Hội quy định rõ. Vậy phải
liên lạc với văn phòng Giáo Phận để biết rõ những ấn định liên
quan đến việc này.</font></span></td>
