phong chức "Đức Ông"? Có phải làm "Linh Mục" rồi mới được phong
"Đức Ông" không? "Đức Ông" và "Đức Giám Mục" thì ai cao hơn? Con

“Đức Ông” là một tước hiệu trong Giáo Hội thường được ban tặng
do Đức Giáo Hoàng cho các giáo sĩ triều (không cho các cha Dòng)
để tuyên dương sự phục vụ Giáo Hội. Hiện nay, tước vị Đức Ông
gồm 3 cấp bậc khác nhau (Apostolic Protonotaries, Honorary
Prelates của ĐTC, Chaplains – Tuyên Úy – của ĐTC); trước thời
ĐTC Phaolô VI, tước Đức Ông có tới 14 cấp bậc khác nhau. Trong
một số nước Âu Châu người ta gọi Monsignor (Đức Ông) các Đức
Giám Mục. Xét riêng các vị có công gì đó được Đức Thánh Cha ban
cho tước hiệu danh dự này là những vị giáo sĩ (thường là linh
mục). Đây chỉ là một tước vị danh dự chứ không phải là chức
thánh. Do đó không có vị trí nào trong phẩm trật chính thức của
Giáo Hội.</font></span></td>
