Đêm Giáng sinh năm nay đã diễn ra trong bầu khí hòa bình tại Dải Gaza. Hàng nghìn người đã đổ về Bethlehem tại Bờ Tây, trong đó có nhiều người Palestine. </p><p class="MsoNormal" align="justify">Nhiều kênh truyền hình quốc tế đã phát hình Đức Thánh Cha Benedictô XVI thắp ngọn nến sáng hòa bình trên bệ cửa Tòa Thánh Vatican. Trong Thông điệp Lễ Giáng Sinh 2007 “Urbi et Orbi” theo truyền thống, Ngài đã không che giấu sự lo ngại của Tòa Thánh về vấn đề Bảo vệ môi sinh, và còn lên tiếng phê phán thói ích kỷ của con người ngày nay <i>(Mời xem thêm Thông điệp này)</i>.</p><p class="MsoNormal" align="justify">Tại Kashmir - Ấn Độ, hàng trăm tín đồ Hồi giáo đã hòa vào giữa đám đông tín hữu Thiên Chúa giáo để mừng Lễ Giáng Sinh. Họ đã cùng nhau cầu nguyện cho hòa bình giữa nơi đã chịu cảnh bạo lực tang tóc suốt 19 năm qua...</p><p class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><span class="dropcap">Còn </span><span class="contents">Cộng Hòa Hồi Giáo Iran, qua </span><span class="dropcap">T</span><span class="contents">hông tấn xã nhà nước IRNA, đã đưa ra lời Chúc mừng tất cả các Kitô hữu một Mùa Giáng Sinh an bình và một Năm Mới Hạnh Phúc.Trước thềm ngày lễ Giáng Sinh đầy hy vọng của Chúa Giêsu Kitô, khi mọi tín hữu Hồi Giáo và Kitô Giáo trao đổi những lời chúc tốt lành nhất cho nhau hướng về Năm Mới, IRNA cũng cầu chúc hòa bình và thịnh vượng cho cộng đồng quốc tế trong Năm Mới 2008, không có xung đột, nghèo đói, đau khổ, và những tranh cãi...</span> <span class="contents">Hy vọng cộng đồng quốc tế có thể cùng sống chung hòa bình, nhờ tinh thần nhân ái chứa đựng trong giáo huấn của Chúa Giêsu Kitô và của các tiên tri thánh thiện khác.</span></p></td>
