Tháng 11 được Giáo Hội dành để cầu cho các linh hồn nơi luyện ngục
và dạy ta: hãy chịu khó làm việc đền tội và ra sức cứu giúp các linh hồn nơi
luyện ngục.</span></p>

margin-left:0cm;margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:justify">

Có luyện ngục! Đó là một tín điều phù hợp với đức công bằng và
lòng từ bi của Thiên Chúa.</span></p>

Kinh Thánh không dùng tiếng luyện ngục, nhưng cho ta thấy thực tại
của luyện ngục, như khi Chúa Giêsu dạy: có những tội được tha ở đời này, và
có những tội được tha ở đời sau (Mt 12,32). Và ta thấy rõ: không thể nào
được tha trong hỏa ngục, thì hẳn là được tha trong luyện ngục. Và như vậy là
có luyện ngục.</span></p>

margin-left:0cm;margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:justify">

Công Đồng Vatican II chia Dân Chúa làm ba thành phần: "Trong các
môn đệ Chúa Kitô, có những kẻ tiếp tục cuộc hành trình nơi trần thế; có
những kẻ đã hoàn tất cuộc sống này và đang được tinh luyện; và có những kẻ
được hiển vinh đang chiêm ngưỡng Thiên Chúa trong Ba Ngôi cực thánh. Cả ba
thành phần đều hiệp thông với nhau trong cùng một đức mến Chúa yêu người"
(LG 49).</span></p>

<span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:107%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">
Sách Bổn Công giáo số 123 có hỏi: "Những ai phải vào luyện ngục?"
thưa: "Những người chết khi có ơn nghĩa cùng Chúa, nhưng còn mắc tội nhẹ,
hay chưa đền hết hình phạt bởi tội, thì phải vào luyện ngục mà đền cho hết,
mới được lên thiên đàng".</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:0pt;margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:0cm;
margin-left:0cm;margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:justify">
<span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:107%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">
Thánh Phaolô cũng bảo: có kẻ được cứu rỗi, nhưng phải qua ngọn lửa
(1Cor 3,15), tức là lửa luyện ngục.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:0pt;margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:0cm;
margin-left:0cm;margin-bottom:12pt;text-align:justify">
<span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:107%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">
Ta cũng thấy Giáo Hội đã trù liệu các phương tiện cần thiết để
giúp những người lâm chung được thanh tẩy linh hồn hoàn toàn trong sạch,
trước khi từ giã đời này. Cho nên, thường các bệnh nhân nguy tử được chịu 3
bí tích một lúc: xưng tội, chịu phép xức dầu, chịu lễ như của ăn đàng; lại
được lãnh một ơn đại xá, để thanh toán tất cả các hình phạt bởi tội mà chưa
đền xong. Và như vậy, có chết là được lên thiên đàng ngay, khỏi phải qua
luyện ngục. Nhưng trong thực tế, vì lẽ này lẽ nọ, nhiều người lâm chung
không biết triệt để lợi dung các phương tiện thanh tẩy của Giáo Hội; nên khi
chết, còn phải vào luyện ngục, để đền cho xong.</span></p>

Đức Mẹ là Mẹ các linh hồn Luyện ngục, Mẹ hằng giúp đỡ, giảm bớt những hình
khổ cho các linh hồn. Điều này rất thích hợp, bởi Mẹ trần gian khi thấy con
mình rơi vào đống lửa sẽ cứu ra ngay lập tức, Đức Mẹ là Mẹ nhân từ cũng thế,
lẽ nào thấy con mình rơi vào lửa Luyện ngục cực khốn khổ, sao lại không cứu
giúp?.</span></p>

2/ Những Người Đang Sống:</span></b></p>

Chúa Giêsu phán: “không phải những kẻ thưa cùng Thầy: Lạy Chúa!
Lạy Chúa ! là được vào Nước Trời cả đâu! Nhưng chỉ những ai thi hành ý muốn
của Cha Thầy là Đấng ngự trên trời, mới được vào mà thôi”.(Mt.7,21)</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal; margin-left: 0cm; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 12.0pt; background: white">

Thánh Giacôbê tông đồ viết: “Cũng vậy, đức tin không có hành động
thì quả là đức tin chết. Đàng khác, có người sẽ bảo: “Bạn, bạn có đức tin;
còn tôi, tôi có hành động. Bạn thử cho tôi thấy thế nào là tin mà không hành
động, còn tôi, tôi sẽ hành động để cho bạn thấy thế nào là tin. Bạn tin rằng
chỉ có một Thiên Chúa duy nhất. Bạn làm phải. Cả ma quỷ cũng tin như thế, và
chúng run sợ.”(Gc.2,17-19)</span></p>

Như vậy, tin vào Chúa Giêsu không chỉ ngoài miệng là được sống đời
đời, nhưng còn là một đời sống hợp với những lời dạy của Ngài.</span></p>

Đức Mẹ là đấng đầy ơn phúc, luôn lắng nghe và vâng giữ lời Thiên
Chúa, nên Đức Mẹ luôn phù hộ mọi Kịtô hữu sống đức tin mỗi ngày, cách riêng
những Kitô hữu đã tận hiến cho Đức Mẹ.</span></p>

Giêsu tuyên bố trước khi về trời; “ai tin và chịu phép rửa, sẽ được cứu độ;
còn ai không tin, thì sẽ bị kết án”(Mc.16,16)</span></p>

Như thế, một Kitô hữu tích cực sống niềm tin, trong niềm tin, đó
họ hướng về những người đã khuất với những lời cầu xin tha thiết, những
việc lành cụ thể để nài xin lòng Chúa thương xót cho các linh hồn đã lìa
thế. Đồng thời cũng hướng về anh chị em chưa tin vào Đức Kitô, và bằng lửa
đức ái nhiệt thành, họ dùng chính đời sống thấm nhuần đức tin để giới thiệu
Chúa Giêsu cho anh chị em đồng loại. Và cùng với Đức Mẹ, họ luôn thao thức
và cầu xin cho nhiều người nhận biết và tin vào Danh Chúa, nhờ đó họ được
sống đời đời.</span></p>
