Bước sang năm mới 2023, mỗi người chúng ta thêm một tuổi mới. Theo gương
Chúa Giêsu, chúng ta càng thêm tuổi càng cần thêm khôn ngoan, ân sủng trước
mặt Thiên Chúa và người ta (x. Lc 2:52); chúng ta cần thêm nhân đức và cố
gắng sống thánh thiện hơn. Nên thánh là trở nên giống Chúa Giêsu Bé Thơ với
một</span><span lang="NL" style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 110%">
</span>
<span lang="NL" style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 110%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif">
tâm hồn mới, ngôn ngữ mới, hành động mới, một đời sống đạo mới hơn, đó là “<b><i><span style="color:#002060">Người
ta cứ dấu này mà nhận biết các con là môn đệ Thầy là các con thương yêu nhau</span></i></b>”
(Ga 13,35). Không có tình yêu thương nhau, con người sẽ chết trong tội lỗi.
Đời sống đạo của chúng ta không chỉ giới hạn trong nhà thờ, khi tham dự
thánh lễ và đọc kinh cầu nguyện; nhưng còn phải tỏa lan, làm cho người ta
nhận biết tin yêu Chúa, qua việc thực thi bác ái của mỗi người. </span></p>

Chỉ vì chúng ta muốn làm con yêu dấu của Mẹ, muốn nên giống Chúa Giêsu hơn,
nên chúng ta đã tận hiến cuộc đời cho Mẹ, để có thể yêu và hiểu Mẹ nhiều hơn
nữa, chúng ta cần phải học hỏi nơi Mẹ. Chính vì thế trong định hướng năm
2023 này chúng ta cùng nhau tìm hiểu thêm nữa về Mẹ yêu dấu, dựa trên tác
phẩm bất hủ về Mẹ Maria của ĐHY E. Neubert, “<b><span style="color:#002060">Đức
Maria Trong Tín Lý</span></b>”. Thật không gì chắc chắn hơn là tìm hiểu về
Đức Maria dưới ánh sáng đức tin, nhất là các tín điều về các đặc ân cao
trọng của Mẹ Maria.</span></p>

1. Đức Maria Là Mẹ Thiên Chúa</span></b></p>

Chắc chắn rằng không ai trong chúng ta mà chưa thuộc, hoặc chưa đọc kinh
Kính Mừng; phần cuối kinh có câu: Thánh Maria Đức Mẹ Chúa Trời cầu cho chúng
con là kẻ có tội. Khi chúng ta đọc Thánh Maria Đức Mẹ Chúa Trời, tức là
chúng ta tung hô Đức Maria là Mẹ Thiên Chúa. Đó là một đặc ân của Đức Mẹ,
cũng là một tín điều quan trọng mà Công đồng chung Êphêsô năm 431 đã tuyên
bố, buộc hết mọi tín hữu phải tin.</span></p>

Thiên Chúa, xét theo bản tính Thiên Chúa, thì Ngài tự hữu, nghĩa là tự mình
mà có, và có từ thuở đời đời. Không một thụ tạo nào sinh ra Ngài cả; mà trái
lại, chính Thiên Chúa đã tạo dựng nên vũ trụ vạn vật từ hư vô, nghĩa là từ
cái không mà có. Nhưng khi Thiên Chúa muốn cứu chuộc nhân loại, thì Ngài đã
chọn một giải pháp hy hữu là cho Ngôi Hai xuống thế mặc xác làm người trong
cung lòng một trinh nữ. Ngôi Hai đã nhận Trinh Nữ đó làm mẹ. Đó là Trinh Nữ
Maria. </span></p>

Như thế đã rõ, Ngôi Hai Thiên Chúa có hai bản tính: bản tính Thiên Chúa và
bản tính nhân loại, nhưng chỉ có một ngôi vị. Đức Trinh Nữ Maria không sinh
ra bản tính Thiên Chúa, mà chỉ sinh ra thân xác nhân loại của Chúa Kitô. Mà
Đức Giêsu Kitô, đích thực là Thiên Chúa, cho nên Đức Maria cũng là Mẹ Thiên
Chúa.</span></p>

2. Điều Người Ta Hiểu Sai Về Chức Mẹ Thiên Chúa</span></b></p>

Tước hiệu Mẹ Thiên Chúa không có nghĩa là Đức Maria là Mẹ của Thần Tính, hay
là một vị nữ thần theo kiểu các nữ thần trong truyện thần thoại. Người Công
Giáo không bao giờ hiểu như thế, mặc dầu Nestôriô vào thế kỷ V, cũng như
những người Tin lành và Duy lý vẫn trách chúng ta hiểu như thế. Chúng ta xác
nhận rằng Đức Maria là Mẹ Thiên Chúa, chứ không phải Mẹ của Thần tính, Mẹ
của một ngôi vị mà ngôi vị ấy là Thiên Chúa, chứ không phải mẹ của ngôi vị
ấy trong tư cách là Thiên Chúa.</span></p>

đắn rằng: Thiên Chúa đã giảng dạy cho dân chúng, Thiên Chúa đã chịu đau khổ,
Thiên Chúa đã chịu chết, thì người ta cũng có thể nói rằng: Thiên Chúa đã
được sinh ra, và <b><span style="color:#002060">người đàn bà nào sinh ra đứa
trẻ, thì là mẹ nó, Thiên Chúa được sinh ra bởi Đức Maria, cho nên: Đức Maria
Là Mẹ Thiên Chúa</span></b></i>”.</span></p>

4. Giáo Huấn Giáo Hội Về Mẹ Thiên Chúa </span></b></p>

Giáo lý Hội thánh Công giáo tóm tắt như sau: “<i>Đức Maria thực sự là ‘Mẹ
Thiên Chúa’ vì là Mẹ của Con Thiên Chúa làm người, người Con hằng hữu ấy
cũng chính là Thiên Chúa”. Tước hiệu “Mẹ Thiên Chúa” chỉ ra chân lý cao cả
của mầu nhiệm Nhập thể, Chúa Giêsu Kitô là Thiên Chúa thật và là người
thật.” </i>(GLHTCG số 509).</span></p>

Thánh Ephrem xứ Syria (+373), trong Thánh ca Nhập thể đầy thi vị của ngài,
đã sáng tác như sau: <i>Nơi cung lòng Đức Maria, một Trẻ thơ đã nên hình nên
dạng, Đấng tự thuở đời đời vẫn đồng hàng với Chúa Cha... Dù vẹn tuyền đức
khiết trinh, vị Nữ trinh đã nên Thân mẫu; Dù vẫn mãi là đấng trinh nguyên
ngài đã cưu mang một Hài nhi trong cung lòng; Vị nữ tỳ, công trình Đấng
Thượng trí đã trở nên Mẹ Thiên Chúa</i>.</span></p>
