<font size="4">Qua dòng thời gian của Thánh Truyền Công giáo, các tín hữu
tôn sùng một Đức Mẹ Maria dưới nhiều tước hiệu khác nhau. Các tước hiệu này
liên quan đến các sự kiện nơi Mẹ hiện ra, nổi bật nhất là Đức Mẹ Fatima, Đức
Mẹ Lộ Đức với sức thu hút các tầng lớp khác nhau bằng các sứ điệp, phép lạ
và hoàn cảnh hiện ra khác nhau. Tại mỗi quốc gia trên thế giới đều có đền
thánh dâng kính Mẹ. Riêng tại Việt Nam có đền thánh Đức Mẹ La Vang, đã được
Hội đồng Giám mục Việt Nam chọn làm Trung Tâm Thánh Mẫu Toàn Quốc năm 1961.</font></span></p>

<font size="4">Nhân dịp Đại hội Hành hương Tam Niên lần thứ 28 tại Đền Thánh
Toàn quốc dâng kính Đức Mẹ, bổn mạng của người Công giáo Việt Nam. Đức Thánh
Cha<i> </i>Bênêđitô XVI đã viết</font><i><font size="4">: “...Nơi Đền Thánh
La Vang, Cha khuyến khích mọi công dân Công giáo Việt Nam hãy chiêm ngắm Mẹ
Maria, là Người Tôi Tớ Khiêm Hạ đã để cho Chúa Thánh Thần hướng dẫn, tác
động sâu xa trong lòng Mẹ; Thánh Thần là nguồn mạch đức tin, đức cậy và đức
mến. Mẹ đã ban cho anh chị em tại đây, nơi La Vang này, sứ điệp: “Các con
hãy trông cậy, hãy vui lòng chịu khốn khó và đau thương, Mẹ đã nhậm lời các
con kêu xin”. Mẹ là Đấng an ủi và nâng đỡ dân tộc anh chị em trong cơn thử

<font size="4"> 1. Sự kiện La Vang</font></span></i></b></p>

<font size="4">Dưới triều đại vua Cảnh Thịnh (lên ngôi năm 1792), với chiếu
chỉ cấm đạo ngày 17 tháng 8 năm 1798, một số các tín hữu ở gần đồi Dinh Cát
(nay là thị xã Quảng Trị) phải tìm nơi trốn ẩn. Họ đã đến lánh nạn tại núi
rừng La Vang. Nơi rừng thiêng nước độc, hoàn cảnh ngặt nghèo, thiếu ăn, bệnh
tật, sợ hãi quan quân, sợ thú dữ. Các tín hữu chỉ biết một lòng tin cậy phó
thác vào Chúa và Đức Mẹ. Họ thường tụ tập nhau dưới gốc cây đa cổ thụ, cùng
nhau cầu nguyện, an ủi và giúp đỡ nhau.</font></span></p>

<font size="4">Một hôm đang khi cùng nhau lần hạt kính Đức Mẹ, bỗng họ nhìn
thấy một người nữ xinh đẹp, mặt áo choàng rộng, tay bồng Chúa Hài Đồng, có
hai thiên thần cầm đèn chầu hai bên. Họ nhận ra ngay Đức Trinh Nữ Maria. Mẹ
tỏ vẻ nhân từ, âu yếm, và an ủi giáo dân vui lòng chịu khó. Mẹ dạy hái lá
chung quanh đó, đem nấu nước uống, sẽ lành các chứng bệnh. Mẹ lại ban lời
hứa: “</font><i><font size="4">Mẹ đã nhận lời các con kêu xin. Từ nay về
sau, hễ ai chạy đến cầu khẩn Mẹ tại chốn này, Mẹ sẽ nhận lời ban ơn theo ý
nguyện”.</font></i></span></p>

<font size="4">Sự kiện xảy ra trên thảm cỏ gần gốc cây đa cổ thụ nơi giáo
dân đang cầu nguyện. Sau đó, Mẹ còn hiện ra nhiều lần như vậy để nâng đỡ và
an ủi con cái Mẹ trong cơn hoạn nạn.</font></span></p>

qua các thế hệ được loan truyền khắp nơi. Và nhiều người chân thành tin
tưởng, đến cầu khấn Mẹ đều được ơn theo ý nguyện.</font></span></p>

<font size="4">Khi hiện ra tại La Vang, Mẹ Maria đã gửi cho con dân đất Việt
một sứ điệp yêu thương, tin tưởng và hy vọng:</font></span></p>

Nhân đức tự nhiên như lòng bác ái vị tha, lòng chân thành giúp đỡ, tính hiếu
hoà dễ mến, sự chịu đựng hy sinh... Các nhân đức siêu nhiên Mẹ đã xác tín
như niềm tin son sắt, tình mến trọn vẹn, và sự cậy trông phó thác tuyệt đối
nơi Thiên Chúa toàn năng. Noi gương Mẹ chúng ta sống đời nhân đức, các nhân
đức tự nhiên và siêu nhiên.</font></span></p>

đỡ tha nhân, noi gương Mẹ, chúng ta hãy giúp đỡ yêu thương đùm bọc lẫn nhau,
cần có thời gian dành cho nhau. Cảm thông, chia sẻ những khó khăn vui buồn</font></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; letter-spacing: -.2pt"><font size="4">
trong cuộc sống. Đó là phương thế hữu hiệu để tránh khỏi các rạn nứt và bất

trường đáp lại. Chúng ta học nơi Mẹ bài học xin vâng trong mọi hoàn cảnh của
