Tại đất nước Do Thái, chủ chiên và đàn chiên luôn gắn bó mật thiết với
nhau. Chủ chiên đi trước, đàn chiên theo sau. Đàn chiên bao giờ cũng
nghe theo tiếng của chủ chiên. Chủ chiên biết từng con chiên: Chiên nào
mạnh khoẻ, chiên nào đau yếu. Chiên càng đau yếu thì chủ chiên càng quan
tâm chăm sóc. Hình ảnh người mục tử bỏ chín mươi chín con khác để đi tìm
con chiên lạc nói lên điều đó (x. Lc 15, 4-7).</span></p>

Bài Tin mừng hôm nay, Chúa Giêsu tự nhận mình là chủ chiên. Ngài biết rõ
từng con chiên là mỗi người chúng ta<span CLASS="apple-converted-space"> </span><em><span STYLE="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif">“Ta
biết chúng và chúng theo ta”</span></em>. Cách biết của Ngài khác với
cách biết bình thường của con người. Cách biết của Ngài giống như Thánh
vịnh 139 diễn tả:<span CLASS="apple-converted-space"> </span><em><span STYLE="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif">“Lạy
Chúa, Ngài dò xét con và Ngài biết rõ, biết cả khi con đứng con ngồi.
Con nghĩ tưởng gì, Ngài thấu suốt từ xa, đi lại hay nghỉ ngơi, Chúa đều
xem xét, mọi nẻo đường con đi, Ngài quen thuộc cả”</span></em><span CLASS="apple-converted-space"> </span>(Tv
139, 1-2). Ngài biết chúng ta như biết Na-tha-na-en trước khi ông đến
trình diện với Ngài:<span CLASS="apple-converted-space"> </span><em><span STYLE="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif">“Ông
Na-tha-na-en hỏi Người: "Làm sao Ngài lại biết tôi? " Đức Giê-su trả
lời: "Trước khi Phi-líp-phê gọi anh, lúc anh đang ở dưới cây vả, tôi đã
thấy anh rồi"</span></em><span CLASS="apple-converted-space"> </span>(Ga
1, 48). Ngài biết chúng ta, như Ngài biết người đàn bà bị bệnh loạn
huyết 12 năm khi bà đụng vào gấu áo của Ngài (x. Mc 5, 24-35). Ngài biết
chúng ta, như Ngài biết ông Giakêu khi ông đang ngồi trên cây sung (x.
Lc 19, 1-10). Ngài biết cả những suy nghĩ của chúng ta dù chúng ta chưa
nói ra, như Ngài biết những tư tưởng của các kinh sư (x. Mc 2, 1-12).</span></p>

Ngài biết để tha thứ, biết để cứu chữa, biết để chỉ dạy và thậm chí Ngài
biết để quở trách những khi cần. Thật vậy, Ngài đã tha thứ tội lỗi cho
Giakêu, Mathêu. Ngài cứu chữa cho người đàn bà bị bệnh loạn huyết 12
năm. Ngài quở trách những người kinh sư để giúp họ trở về nẻo chính
đường ngay. Ngài chỉ dạy cho ông Na-tha-na-en làm cách nào để được cứu
rỗi. Ngài đã quan tâm con người cả phần hồn lẫn phần xác. Hình ảnh Con
Chiên mà sách Khải Huyền đề cập đến, chính là hình ảnh của chính Ngài.
Ngài chăn dắt và dẫn đưa chúng ta tới nguồn nước trường sinh (x. Kh
7,17). Ngài hứa ban cho chúng ta sự sống đời đời (x. Ga 10,28). Ngài
chính là Vị Mục Tử Nhân Lành. Ngài biết chúng ta và Ngài quan tâm săn
sóc chúng ta.</span></p>

2. Chúng ta là đàn chiên của Chúa</span></strong></p>

Mỗi người chúng ta chính thức trở thành chiên của Chúa khi lãnh nhận Bí
tích Rửa Tội. Chiên của Chúa thì phải đi theo Chúa. Chiên của Chúa thì
phải lắng nghe tiếng Chúa. Chính Chúa Giêsu đã nói: “<em><span STYLE="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif">Chiên
của Ta thì nghe tiếng Ta</span></em>”. Tiếng của Ngài ở đâu? Tiếng của
Ngài được thể hiện qua: Kinh Thánh; huấn quyền của Giáo Hội; đời sống
cầu nguyện; qua việc thực thi những điều mình đã thề hứa khi lãnh nhận
Bí tích Rửa Tội.</span></p>

Chúng ta không nghe tiếng Chúa khi chúng ta phạm tội trọng, lỗi phạm lời
thề hứa khi lãnh nhận Bí tích Rửa tội. Chúng ta không nghe tiếng Chúa
khi chúng ta không tuân phục Đức Giáo Hoàng và các huấn lệnh của Giáo
Hội. Chúng ta không nghe tiếng Chúa khi chúng ta ghen ghét đố kỵ với anh
chị em mình, không muốn cho anh chị em mình nên tốt hơn. Đó là thái độ
của những người Do thía mà chúng ta nghe sách Công Vụ Tông Đồ kể lại
trong bài đọc I: khi có nhiều người theo và nghe lời giảng dạy của ông
Baraba và ông Phaolô, thì những người Do thái ghen tức, họ phản đối và
nhục mạ ông Phaolô. Thậm chí họ tìm cách ngược đại và trục xuất hai ông
ra khỏi lãnh thổ của họ. Khi họ từ chối lời rao giảng của hai ông, thì
hai ông đem Lời Chúa đến rao giảng cho dân ngoại. Thánh Phaolô nói:<span CLASS="apple-converted-space"> </span><em><span STYLE="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif">“Anh
em phải là những người đầu tiên được nghe công bố lời Thiên Chúa, nhưng
vì anh em khước từ lời ấy, và tự coi mình không xứng đáng hưởng sự sống
đời đời, thì đây chúng tôi quay về phía dân ngoại. Vì Chúa truyền cho
chúng tôi thế này: Ta sẽ đặt ngươi làm ánh sáng muôn dân, để ngươi đem
ơn cứu độ đến tận cùng cõi đất”</span></em>.</span></p>

Nếu chúng ta nghe tiếng Chúa thì thuộc về đàn chiên của Chúa, ngược lại
chúng ta sẽ không còn là đàn chiên của Chúa nữa mà chính là kẻ thù của
Chúa. Trong ngày phán xét chung, Chúa Giêsu là vị thẩm phán sẽ tách biệt
loài người thành hai: Bên phải là chiên, bên trái là dê. Chiên là những
người lành. Dê là những kẻ dữ (x Mt 25, 31-46). Ngay bây giờ chúng ta
đang là chiên hay là dê ? Hy vọng chúng ta là những con chiên ngoan hiền
của Chúa.</span></p>

3. Mỗi chúng ta là mục tử đối với những người khác</span></strong></p>

Chúa là mục tử của mỗi người chúng ta. Nhưng mỗi người chúng ta cũng là
những mục tử của những người khác khi thông dự vào mục tử Giêsu: Đức
Giáo Hoàng là mục tử của Giáo Hội; Đức Giám Mục chính toà là mục tử của
các tín hữu trong Giáo Phận Ngài coi sóc; Cha xứ là mục tử của các tín
hữu trong giáo xứ của mình; Thầy cô giáo lý viên là mục tử của học sinh;
Cha mẹ mà mục tử của con cái…Hãy trở thành những mục tử nhân lành, mục
tử như lòng Chúa mong muốn. Bậc làm cha làm mẹ hãy quan tâm nhiều hơn
tới con cái. Tôi đọc được câu chuyện sau đây trên mạng internet. Nếu cha
mẹ nào nghe được nội dung câu chuyện này, chắc chắn cũng phải nghĩ lại
thái độ của mình để quan tâm con cái nhiều hơn. Câu chuyện với tựa đề:<span CLASS="apple-converted-space"> </span><em><span STYLE="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif">“Con
ước được làm một chiếc điện thoại di động!”</span></em><span CLASS="apple-converted-space"><i> </i></span>Chuyện
kể rằng: Sau bữa tối, một cô giáo tiểu học bắt đầu chấm bài cho học
sinh. Chồng cô ngồi bên cạnh, dán mắt vào màn hình điện thoại di động,
cố gắng phá vỡ kỷ lục trò Candy Crush Saga anh đã dày công nghiên cứu cả
tháng trời. Bỗng nhiên, bầu không khí yên lặng bị phá vỡ bởi tiếng sụt
sịt của người vợ. Thấy mắt cô đang rơm rớm, anh vội quay sang vợ hỏi
nhỏ:<span CLASS="apple-converted-space"> </span><em><span STYLE="font-family: Tahoma,sans-serif">“Này
em, sao tự dưng lại khóc? Có chuyện gì à?”</span></em></span></p>

noi gương vị Mục Tử Giêsu để trở nên những mục tử nhân lành, những thừa
